Just got an email that my shogun bender has shipped. Very surprised that Toynami didn't delay it another month or two. New year resolutions for toynami?! Can't wait to see this thing. It looks HUGE.
mickywinz Did you get the shogun bender in already? Is he worth it. I have my order on BBTS in my loot pile and was debating if I should let it ship.

Wow, this thread is deader than Futurama... oww, I made myself cry.
Did anyone get Shogun Bender or the Hypnotoad bank? If so pictures would be cool.

Wow, this thread is deader than Futurama... oww, I made myself cry. The fact that Toynami announced the end of the license almost a month ago (Apr 9) and it took so long for anyone here to notice/comment on it suggests we've all moved on. Was wondering how long they could keep dicking around with limited, random product before losing the license. It's about time Toynami gives it up! In the end, they made some cool figures. And kudos to Toynami for picking up from the MAC molds. It's probably too much to hope for a third company to come along and do the same. Not going to lose any sleep over it, but it sure would be nice to one day have a Morbo and Lrr compatible with these figures. Maybe the Toynami prototypes will hit eBay! Anyway, all gripping and endless frustration aside, lol, it's been worth the ride - if nothing else kicking it with fellow Futurama figure enthusiasts on the threads here over the years. See you on the other side...

So, Morbo is re-re-cancelled. I'd probably have some emotion to express now if it weren't for the fact that I knew it wasn't coming after the first cancellation.
Well, Toynami, in their main line at least, had a good run. The core cast, some favourites, too many Bender variants and a naked guy. My figures are currently in boxes and Destructor is still mint, but they'll be properly shelved at the end of the year after I move.
With the licence ending there's a chance someone else will take it and build figures at this scale. They'll re-do most of what we've got unfortunately. I still think a brainslug hat would have been great.
Tonight, if the shop still has them, I'll grab a few series 2 kidrobots and hope for Hermes. But also, I'll have a closer look at shogun Bender. He was smaller than I expected.

Very happy about Toynami, it's high time they let Futurama go.

Well, it's too bad that Toynami can't make any more Futurama merchandise, but, what with the series itself folding in, it's not too much of a surprise. They made some great figures, ranging from the main cast to some notable side characters, cool plushies and stylized toys, and certainly went out with a bang by releasing the Gender Bender and Destructor. Despite the many impressive figures that will now never see the light of day, I think the line was still as success. Every required character was produced, and plenty of fan favorites made it in, as well. It's always sad to see something that had a future die off, though. So many figures unmade.. it's a real shame. What's made the biggest impact for me is the fact that one of the reasons I first joined here to discuss the collectables, specifically the Toynami figures. Now the show's over, and the second most notable remnant of the franchise (to me, personally), the toys, is gone too. All great things come to an end, though. Frankly, I think they made an excellent line. Their procrastinating may have disheartened some fans, but when they got down to business, their results were impressive. I think the best of the bunch was Robot Santa. Wonderfully screen-accurate, fitting accessories, and an excellent choice for a non-main character. The idea to sell him as a Build-A-Bot was very smart, as well, and definitely helped push the product.. not that such cool figures really needed help. Farewell, Toynami, and thank you for the perfect figures and great novelties.

Naw, these were limited to 1000. You'll be lucky to find one in a few months for a reasonable price.
