I do believe that Kickstarter idea started her with jabalong. Awesome! I will definitely be supporting this when it starts. Don't remember which one of us thought of it first, but the Kickstarter idea started here on these Peelified toy threads. So back pats all-around... And, above all, kudos to SculptBoy for pitching it to Toynami! He said they shot down the idea initially, but apparently they've come around. Once the details are out, we've really got to rally the Peelified hordes and make noise on other boards about it. After all our complaining, this Kickstarter has to be a success. After two years of clutching at straws in the dark, it will be great to have a tangible goal to work towards! And with Futurama the show being cancelled again, it's also a great way for fans generally to show that interest in all things Futurama remains strong.

Heya Quolnok, good to see you still kicking around here. When it comes to Toynami and Futurama, I agree wholeheartedly that cynicism is fully warranted! That said, one's thing's for sure, if this Kickstarter initiative doesn't succeed, we won't be getting Morbo. Surely, if they're trying this, it is the last grasp at a straw. So with nothing to lose from participating, since we get our money back if it fails, we should all get on board this and rally support for it. Kickstarter has led to great things elsewhere. Remember we're the ones here on this Peelified forum who came up with the idea of using Kickstarter for this line, so let's make it work! I need my Morbo!!!

Zoidberger, you have to upload the image to an image hosting site, then tag it. The idiot* in irc who told you to link to your hard drive was trolling you. e.g. [ img]http://www.toymania.com/news/images/0706_futurama_sm.jpg[ /img] will give: * Books

ok, thanks tachyon. i have a few question on whats currently happening with the line and i was hoping if someone could clear it up. first of about the toads... so the smaller toad is in the tineez series i believe but is the larger hypno toad a kid robot or another tineez or part of the original line? by the looks of the box it seems to be part of the line we all want and love: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92579127@N06/9341662602/if so that is great! (another addition to the classic line) I have doubts its a kid robot because there already was this kid robot toad: http://www.flickr.com/photos/39868290@N04/7858760802/in/pool-futuramaSo referring to the picture that bender22 posted, i think that the smaller toad is a tineez and the bigger one is part of the 6inch series? maybe? well toynami never labeled it kid robot or tineez on their facebook but if im completely wrong someone please explain. Ok now about morbo. Does signing up for their mailing list and donating to their kickstarter make it so that they will send you morbo for free or is toynami asking for the money to make the figures and then they are going to sell them to us? if anyone knows please answer. thanks. oh yea btw if anyone cares, theres a new large sized kidrobot nibbler and zoidberg: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92579127@N06/9341779578/ thanks

I don't think you'll get anything for free from Toynami, Zoidberger. I was under the impression that kickstarter programs just fund the production of the item, not pay for the item itself. The hypnotoad they had for sale was a smaller one, one is listed online already and looks like similar packaging to the Tineez Bender SDCC exclusive from a few years ago. The larger hypnotoad will be available later for sale, is what they told my friend who was there this year. I'm agitated some booths, like the Kidrobot booth (and I think Toynami too) made you get a wristband to be able to purchase their product this year (one per band) but they ONLY handed them out at a certain time in the morning. My friend was volunteering at that time (how she gets into comiccon for free each year) and so she missed the time they gave them out for him and sold out that day or day after it seems. So I ended up buying one online which I wouldn't have notmally done but I had my heart set on it...she was able to get the other things I wanted so I will post pics when I get them

I don't think you'll get anything for free from Toynami, Zoidberger. I was under the impression that kickstarter programs just fund the production of the item, not pay for the item itself. Basically, it's entirely up to the Kickstarter project creator (ie, Toynami in this case) to set the amount thresholds and what you get for each one, which can be anything really. Most projects will set a low-threshold amount, like five or ten bucks, for people who may just want to support the cause. Like here's an example for a toy, where $10 just gets a magnet: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/16029337/goldieblox-the-engineering-toy-for-girls/postsBut generally, most thresholds will get you the toy. And the above example sets different levels depending how many you want and whether it's domestic or international shipping. Where it really gets interesting, for those with deeper pockets, is what the 'pie in the sky' thresholds get you, which tend to be unique and personalized stuff and experiences. So fear not unwashed masses of the filthy world beyond the promised land, unless Toynami colossally screws it up there will be options for any and all your Morbo-loving needs.
