It was on ebay, it was listed by a pawn shop.

But yeah, I'd hangfire you can probably get one for a good price if you're willing to wait a while. I'd reccommend just searching "Futurama figure" and search through all the pages on there, sometimes you get lucky and can by a load of them for cheap because they haven't been listed very well.

Hey everyone,

My first post here, I've been a Futurama fan for year but only recently though of looking for a fan forum... so yeah, here I am! :)

So anyway, in the last month of so I've caught the bug of collecting these Toynami Figures...  & I have a question, what does everyone thing is a fair price for a boxed, unopened Zoidberg Figure?

I understand they are rare and people don't want to let go of them but I also don't want to get ripped off, the other question is are the 2 other zoidbergs (the blue one and the mating season one) worth more, less or pretty much equal to the normal zoidberg?

Thanks everyone!

Brad.

In american dollars -

Regular Zoidberg figure with BAB part - anything less than $100 is an excellent price. I paid $125 for mine a couple years ago off amazon (before I got a bay account), which was probably a fairly averagely good to okay price. I've seen them listed for as much as $200 or more but those don't really sell.

Universe 1 Zoidberg - opened, I have seen them go for $55-$85 at its best. Unopened, ehhh, expect to pay at least $120 I would say. Its cost is right around the regular zoidberg.

Mating Zoidberg - I haven't followed this one as much (I actually only have the original Zoidberg as the other ones don't interest me as much, though a universe 1 zoidberg would be nice...). But when I last checked it was around the Universe 1 cost or a little more. I tend to see the Universe 1 Zoidberg listed more often than the others.

If you have a bay account - search "zoidberg figure" or "zoidberg futurama" and save those searches in your account (click the "save" button next to the search box after the search is complete). Make sure you check the "email me daily with matches" so you automatically get notified when a new one is listed. I do this all the time with certain rare items I am looking for, that way you don't miss out on a possibly quick, cheap auction :)

Thanks for the tips Futurefreak, I didn't realise you could do that with ebay searches, I'll set that up so I don't miss out on any.

Thanks!  :)

well, I bought a Universe 1 Zoidberg :)

 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121091058050?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_1288

No Bargain by any means, probably right around the going price these days so I'm happy enough with that. He will complete my universe 1 team now, got fry and leela, golden bender and zoidberg :)

The only Figures I'm missing from the series now (apart from the encore editions, I haven't bothered with them) is normal Zoidberg and mating season zoidberg...

That comes out to about $108.17 - yeah, I would say that is fairly average to pay for that.

Also, what I forgot to tell you is that what I like to do on the bay as well is look up the "sold listings" and "completed listings" options, that should be a drop down menu once you click the "active listings" tab at the top. I do a lot of selling myself so I find this tool extremely useful to get a guesstimate of a going rate of something, but it is useful in buying as well because then you can see what sort of interest there is in the items. Make sure to sort by "date: recently ended first" so you can get a current market value. "Sold listings" will show you what it sold for, "completed listings" will show you all listings of that product in the last three months, sold and unsold. So you are able to see exactly what is too much to pay for a specific item (a price in red means it didn't sell, green means it did).

If you need any more pointers we're happy to help! And welcome to PEEL btw! Hope you enjoy your stay

Once again, thanks for the tip! I just did that and woah, the prices vary so much its hard to really get a proper average.

This one was a bargain though

Oh definitely, that was a steal! It might have been on a shorter three day auction or ended at a weird time, like past 10pm at night - any auction with a late end time like that pretty much ensures there will be hardly any or no snipers at the end.

How much did you pay for the Golden Bender? He is the only one I don't own to complete my collection. His price keeps going up. I don't even mind an open boxed one as this collection is for me.

Or it just shows that you should offer your items internationally if you want to get the best price for your items... ;)

I bought him and universe fry and leela about a year ago before I really got into collecting them all, I paid about $200 for him sealed in box... not cheap. I hope you can find one for your collection mate.

The problem I have with shipping internationally is twofold: 1. customs (which I know I can work around) and 2. proving the package actually got there. You can pay for tracking but once it is out of the country it becomes a he said she said thing, so I would rather not deal with the whole hassle. So perhaps the seller felt the same way, I dunno. Or didn't wanna charge extraordinary shipping costs. I don't buy internationally either for the same reasons. I figure better to just wait if I am unsure, ya know?

$200 for golden bender NIB is the best I have ever seen him go for, so good job!

Unfortunately living in a country other than the U.S we don't really have the choice, I'd say all but maybe two or three of my figures have come from either the U.S or the U.K.

I buy a fair bit of stuff internationally, not just these figures and I can't really recall anything being lost or damaged, so they are pretty good.

I wouldn't say worthless, but yeah it does detract from its value a bit. did you keep the box?

As long as it's still in good or like new condition, you could probably still get close to $200 for it so long as you kept the box. Without the box - probably half that is my bet.

Yeah the design on the boxes is nifty, I keep all them on the shelf in my closet while the figures are displayed in a cabinet.

What I usually see is - item in like new condition with box imperfection (opened, dented, etc.) could probably fetchas much as  20% off the going rate of a NIB figure. As long as the piece itself is not in USED condition (chipped paint, smells, scratches, etc.) to the collector who wants the piece but doesn't wanna pay full price, it would be a nice compromise.

lol, ive seen a couple benders repainted to look like the ggb, but id rather have the official and know that only 999 other people in the world have it.

tho its just the MAC molded bender, and not quite as cool as the toynami bender as the MAC figures are kinda larger.

tho my collection's lacking the six figures ive been waiting YEARS on now. so toynamis not getting anoher penny as ill ebay the figures just in spite of toynamis inability to be a good customer service business.

im selling my blue zoidberg because theres no reason to have two. but im not reqlly that into painting figures so unless theybrelease an amy and professor ill keep the four person alternates.

Yeah I have all the figs on display apart from the Golden Bender (which kinda doesn't count).

I'm not big on painting figures either so unless they release more it'll just be the Blue Zoidy, and U1 Fry/Leela 2-pack on my shelf representing U1.

Like I've said, they should make the next two series U1 Bender, Amy, Farnsworth and Hermes. Just use Morbo as a BAF and give them a new accessory each and they'll be good to go! And I'm sure they'd be hot sellers.

if I remember correctly,  hermes wasn't in the alternate universe.  he almost threw the box into the sun. so there's that already..they'd just have to change the color of the molds they already have. bu its all just a hope like walking up to cinnamon bun incense with no cinnamon buns.

and I'm just gettin rid of the blue zoidberg. have two, no reason for it.

Actually Hermes was in the Alternate Universe Nacirema! He had yellow dreads and a grey suit lol.

You're right, they already have the molds so they'd be crazy not do the other 4 that haven't been officially released yet! Repaints are the cheapest figures to release as well. And because they are basically the main characters they'd be guaranteed to be the best selling figures that they could still make.

$80 plus however much the shipping is, depending on how fast you'd want it. I think thats a fair and reasonable price as futurefreak usually knows what she's talking about.

MAC original three with planet express ship, I have an opened 'KILL ALL HUMANS' bender, but its just an apron, and hat. I actually preferred the apron verson over the elzar look toynami went with. if I ever get ahold of a swimsuit leela opened i'll snatch it up n replace the leela with the exclusive and put the hat/apron on bender. oh, and a talking bender.

heres the universe 1, mom, roberto, the cast and robot devil. the backgrounds just the carded MAC fry, leela amd bender.

series 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, mating season zoidberg, robot nixon, SDCC robot santa and bender. the backgrounds just the carded MAC plant express ship, toyfare exclusive swimsuit leela, wizard exclusive chef bender.

rocketUSA metal series 1 and 2, nibblers on the podium. if you look.

thouht i'd do a side size comparison for y'all aswel to show the slight differences in the glorious gloden bender n toynami original bender. I also retook a frontal with the doors open, and now its not sideways.  :O_o:..freak, could you delete the edited post.

well, there y'all go, proof ive got these figures and im not just someone claiming to . not that I thought any of you doubted. sorry for the sizes as i'm on a tablet and the internets kinda tricky to use via this thing.

I wouldn't fret too much abf, they get listed fairly often. Just make sure to save "futurama toynami zoidberg" or "futurama zoiderg figure" in your searches so you get notified daily when they get listed. Watch the auctions too so you will get the 4 hour prior to auction ending email.

The first release of Fry is from 2007, and the encore edition is from 2009. Just check the date of the copyright in the back of the figure.
