They preorder two years ahead? Did you already pay for it? Is that how they can afford to produce these, by taking money up front...

It is expected on Sunday 30 June, 2013... but probably it will be delayed, as it is usual in Toynami.
In Forbidden Planet you pay when the merchandise is ready to be sent.

I don't.. I'm expecting a 2014 release.

And I read they will be making only a small run of these.
I guess between 1500 - 3000 total sets.
Also it should in fact retail for $79.99 when it's up at big toy stores like BBTS and EE.
Also it was unclear if this set will be seeing a regular retail release.

I've gathered this info. from six different toy blogs and sites, heres just one link:

Hmmm, looking at Forbidden Planet's pricing on regular Futurama figures, they seem to have the same prices, but in pounds rather than dollars (that's what I found when I visited the UK, everything was the same numbers except the currency was worth 50% more). So if they're selling the Destructor set for £56.99, I still think it will come in around my expected price of $54.99. The only wrinkle is that they're offering that price as being "19% off", in which case the US price could be anywhere up to $69.99.

Actually most things retail in America for more. For example most video games retail for £39.99 here, whereas in America they retail at $59.99.

I like that outlook :laff:

I'm not a big fan of pre-ordering (go figure) - the one thing I DID pre-order that I was happy I did was the Futurama monopoly, where only the pre-orders got the golden bender token variant. Of course I opened it and played it with fellow PEELers...but it was worth it

Even if they don't charge, I dunno, I can't preorder something so far in advance...it's a terrible condition I should get looked at :laff:

If Toynami doesn't release a Ring, this could be a good one:

We only have to change "RAW" by "RobotMania XXVII", hehe.

I'm still looking for that blue car for Bender's head. Not actively looking, but someone here provided the type of car that would be closest to it...I'll have to dig it up and see.

Did you paint over the WWE and Raw logos on that ring?

Works pretty well. Just wish I had the shelf space for a wrestling ring.

The WWE and RAW logos are stickers. If you don't put them, the ring has a neutral style.

I don't count the golden one, it's not the same as the normal line. It's not even the same size.

The Santa Bender figure was the last figure I got to complete my collection and it cost a fair bit. Totally worth it though! It's a great figure.

Very cool, Anvil.  Robot Santa (SDCC version) is my last one to pick up too.  I do have the GGB though.  I was suprised how tiny he was when I got him.  PS, I just started collecting last June :)

Yeah I started collecting very recently too. I can't remember exactly when but maybe in the last year or so.

I managed to get most of the rarest figures (All three Zoidbergs and Series 3 Bender) for around £15-20 each on ebay in what was an INCREDIBLE find. I also got Farnsworth (who is now very rare) for about £12 although it wasn't quite so rare when I got it.

It's kind of disheartening that I have them all now. Collecting them all was so enjoyable I just want them to release loads more.

Yh, I have always had a couple of the old MAC toys but only really started collecting the Toynami line toward the end of last year. Most of the figures I have are the more common ones, I have resigned myself to probably never getting the three zoidbergs as I cant justify paying £80+ for one figure. Just live in hope that he gets re released, after Bender he is the figure I most wanted

I just have the original Zoidberg. Paid a bit hefty for it, but needed it for the BAB part. I like the other ones but I don't have to have them. I did get alternate universe fry and leela and robot santa/santa bender though (had to get both as they were a set, since I already had robot santa from the BAB accessories).

Also, here is a link to santa bender:

www.ebay.com/itm/190770244344

I'm surprised there aren't more, usually there's three or four listed. That's kinda high in my opinion, I paid I think 65 for a box with a dented corner discount (since I took them out anyway, doesn't matter).

What I like about the site now is that you can check "sold listings" and see what the item sold for recently, then you can gauge whether the item in question is a reasonable price or not, and how often they get listed.

why is farnsworth so rare. I don't get it, hes a recent figure.

I could see why a zoidberg is rare as his original molds lost n gone. probably purposely so as to make the robot devil the ultimate in anyones collection, imo. the other exclusives, minus the glorious golden bender cuz its the original MAC run bender mold, are only rare due to limited numbers. oh and the ggb is limited to a thousand, but it seems a lot of people b! tch cuz hes the MAC bender which is different. kinda bigger, different paints. I personally prefer the MAC leela over the toynami one cuz it looks more like leela. its gotta be the hair. and the only downsides the awkward stance shes in. but her stand makes up for that.

still haven't read anything on the talking devil. has it been shelved like morbo, lurr, flexo, and the mafia too? in a perfect world it'd be prettt spiffy to habe a talking bender and robot devil flanking the entire collection when its displayed. and of course...if toynami would just shut up and take my money. I dont care if they rape me with the price; I want the mafia, flexo, morbo, lurr and the talking devil all 2013 releases. but a snowballs gotta better chance in hell it seems.

I don't see why Farnsworth is so rare, you can get the encore edition easy and cheaply enough though. The figures I want most are Zoidberg, Santa Bender and Destructor. Have preordered the destructor and gender bender set though so should have one of them.
