I'm not looking to scam anyone, just looking to get what it's worth. I'll never understand why people post in threads like this to try to make someone out to be a villain for wanting to get what a toy is worth. :P
I'd like to point out that it's
worth perhaps $3, and that the
price merely represents what the market will bear given its relative rarity and difficulty to get hold of. But it's $3 worth of plastic, and was made from $0.50 worth of petroleum derivative.
People really shouldn't delude themselves into thinking that an object like this has any intrinsic value. The price and the worth here are two seperate things.
Yes, I'm being pedantic. But I dislike the idea of people paying over sixty times what something is
worth, and the salesman insisting that this is the actual value of the product. It's not; it's an artefact of the complex relationship between supply, demand, and the fact that some people really do have far more money than they know what to do with.
