Hey gang!  I decided to sell the two Dr. Zoidbergs one at a time, and the other one sold.  Here's the last one I have:

Good luck kids!

He probably sold the other one at that price, nacirema.

I was watching this auction just to see what it sold for. I personally do not have a need for it, which is why these prices are too rich for my blood. I needed Zoidberg Series 1 though for the build-a-bot part. That one I reluctantly paid $125 for. I figured I probably wouldn't ever find it for the $50 I desired to pay.

You're definitely right, future.. that's what I sold the other one for, so that's why I listed this one at that price.  I basically took the cheapest one on eBay and knocked a few bucks off.  I'm not looking to scam anyone, just looking to get what it's worth.  I'll never understand why people post in threads like this to try to make someone out to be a villain for wanting to get what a toy is worth.  :P

Simple: Some people have no humility, actionfigureguy :p

And hooray! Your posting of auctions has made you a Crustacean! Hope you stick around :D

I do the same thing though. I will research an item and knock off 10-20% of my cheapest competitor. Doesn't matter how much I paid for it. One of my first sales, I sold an ornament I paid $12 for starting price $199 (my competitiors were at $250+), and by auction's end sold it for $248. Not bad eh?

Future:  I honestly really like it here!  I'm currently watching Supernatural (the entire series), but Futurama is next on my list to watch from start to current!  You'll definitely see me here more often!  Very proud to now be a Crustacean!!!!!!

Then it sounds like it would be a profit on your end if you sold them! :p

This has nothing to do with this figure, but future -- I bought seasons 1-4 of Futurama and I'm completely freaking hooked!  OMG, how have I not watched this show before????  I LOVE BENDER!

I am really confused - you had two (now one) of the blue Zoidberg SDCC variant but had never seen the show? Explanation...? :p

BTW, you should know that your competition is at $140 - not bad, only $15 more than what I paid for regular Series 1 Zoidberg.

I'd merge this with the "For Sale" thread, but my initial post would be lost somewhere in the middle because this thread was started first. But if you do sell anything else, feel free to post it there

I honestly was buying everything I possibly could back then.. it was my dream to open a comic book store!  After seeing the show, I'm seriously thinking about keeping it -- thanks for the heads up about the other auction!  I think I may just leave it alone until it ends in a few days, and if I get no bites I may just keep it.. Dr. Zoidberg is so funny, I love him!!!

I'm almost done with season 1 :D

Is the link at the top of the page an auction or just a store listing? And why is the Zoidberg figurine so fat?

I'd like to point out that it's worth perhaps $3, and that the price merely represents what the market will bear given its relative rarity and difficulty to get hold of. But it's $3 worth of plastic, and was made from $0.50 worth of petroleum derivative.

People really shouldn't delude themselves into thinking that an object like this has any intrinsic value. The price and the worth here are two seperate things.

Yes, I'm being pedantic. But I dislike the idea of people paying over sixty times what something is worth, and the salesman insisting that this is the actual value of the product. It's not; it's an artefact of the complex relationship between supply, demand, and the fact that some people really do have far more money than they know what to do with.

I sold an item when I started out for a 95% profit. I didn't feel bad at all :D

What I can't stand, above all else, is when someone is making that kind of profit, and STILL charges shipping. Isn't it high enough already? It's insulting.
