You move up ranks based on your post count. There's a break every so often like 5 posts, 10 posts, 50 posts, etc. More Tineeze? I shit on thee! Every time I read this it gives me a devilish smile. yeah im thinking about cancelling my Tineez preorders. they really dont do much for me once you get past the cute factor.
Yeah the only item I ever pre-ordered Futurama wise was the Monopoly Golden Bender Edition (because really, how can you screw up monopoly?!?!). Everything else I wait until it comes out to see if I will get it or not. Most of the time, I do. I'm just upset they used the same dang molds for the next Tineez edition, although Bee Bender is adorable

yup.
you've got a better chance of curing cancer. or solving the problems of africa. before toynami releases anything new.
as for me, toynami will never get another penny from me.
if they do ever get around to lurr, morbo, flexo, and the mafia, those'll be the last figures of an already dead line.
they'll probably just re-release another fry. eff toynami.
I as well am thinking that they are done with the main line and moving onto other new Futurama related lines... Tineez, Talking Figures, Plush.. which kinda f'n blows... the main line was cool.

The talking figures are awesome, I'd like to see them do more of them.

Maybe we should all send an email to Toynami about the robot mafia figures we all want, and maybe they'll reconsider putting them out. I don't have the highest hope they will, but it wouldn't hurt to send an email

I think some of us around here have already sent them letter bombs nicely worded emails You're right though, if you have the time, it couldn't hurt. Might be sorta therapeutic to express your frustrations like that on paper, err, text.

The figures I really want are Morbo and Lrr, both at the top of my wishlist.
Years ago, I got a response from Toynami to an email. But when I sent a few others over the years, didn't hear back and gave up. And don't know why they bothered setting up their Facebook page, as they almost never reply to comments.
I don't get how companies think it's okay to just ignore their customers. That's the problem today, we've got an abundance of ways to communicate instantaneously, so communication is devalued and easily ignored.
Back when I was a kid, way back in the late 70s / early 80s, there was no email and long-distance calls were very expensive, so you'd sit down and actually write out a letter and mail it to companies.
That took time to do and even more to wait for a response, but as such it was valued and companies had people whose jobs were to write back to every letter. They'd even send you free stuff when you complained. Ah, those were the days, lol.

So, silly me, I forgot that even though I'm not attending SDCC that a few local friends of mine are. So like last year I'll probably end up giving them cash for the exclusives I want. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of all the Futurama exclusives this year, so I know how much money to gather? Is it just the Hypnotoad by Kidrobot? Also it says it will be available for its public release August 2nd - so I am confused. Is it actually an exclusive, or is that just when they begin to ship out? Thanks guys!

Do you know if there's any other Futurama SDCC exclusives this year? If it's just an early release I'll just wait. Edit: OK Looks like so far this year all they have is the Kidrobot figures : Wooden Bender and Hypnotoad. However we already know Wooden Bender isn't an exclusive, and Hypnotoad will be open to the public August 2nd...and this site even thinks it could go lower (?). So anyways...I don't think I'll be worrying about them this year. The only one I have to have is Hypnotoad because he's one of my favorite secondary characters and I love frogs

Not likely, Toynami usually shows off what they are having two or three weeks before the con. But there is always a chance (keeping my fingers crossed)

No, it's pretty obvious (by what old figures they had in the display case) they are telling us to buy all the left over previous series releases... then... maybe... onto new main-line figures.
I mean that Big Bender is pretty new... we've seen it before..... but it doesn't have a release date (that I know of) like the others... but alas, is a new line.
New tineez, new plush, new talking Robot Devil .... seems like the main line is on hiatus til they sell off all the old stock.
The cutesy Tineez are selling like mad.... so, if you want more REALLY COOL display figures...
I say buy series 4,5,6,8, and 9 for x-mas presents for others... and let's just see what happens.
If sales pick up... Toynami will notice.
Right now they obviously feel safer selling encores... then new (main-line) figures.
Why I think this....
I bought Venture Bros. figures for my loved one's and every single 8 inch figure for myself... and it paid off.
And after some slow times.. this SDCC paid off big time.
They announced way more stuff than I thought.. pretty soon (in one or two years) there will be more main line 8 inch retro V Bros. figures than I will know where to display!
Not to mention the 3 3/4 figure line that just launched.
Just saying...
8 inch Line; Series 1: Brock, Dean, Dr. Venture, The Monarch, 21, and 24. Series 2: Hank, Phantom Limb, Dr. Girlfriend, Orpheus, Jonas Venture, and Rusty Venture. Series 3: Moltov, Sphinx Brock, Billy QuizBoy, and Henry Killinger. Series 4: Pete White, Shore Leave, Jefferson Twilight, The Alchemist, and Sgt. Hatred just got confirmed!!!!
Not to mention tons more of the 8 inch retro figures still planned... and the 3 3/4 inch line is just as endless and just started.
3 3/4 inch Line: Series 1: Brock (SDCC) and Brock (regular). Series 2: Hank and Dr. Girlfriend. Series 3: Dean and Dr. Venture. Series 4: Monarch and Phantom Limb.

Well that's one way to look at it.
Another way to look at it is we haven't had a new regular-sized figure since August 2010, so it's already been 18 months of "slow times" and Toynami telling us "maybe" new ones.
And after all that, poof and they disappear. In my experience with several lines, when all that's left in a convention display are old figures, it means the line is dead.
So sad, never thought it would end with great figures like Morbo and Lrr left in limbo.
Well.. they are still releasing encores and new toys for other lines. The main line is gone.

I think if ever there was a time to contact Toynami, it's now or never for these figures. But from my experience they very rarely respond to their general email or Facebook page. So to contact them in a way they can't help but notice, and maybe get some answers, I'd say phone them up and ask to speak to someone about one of their toylines. But if people aren't comfortable doing that and want to email, forget the general mail and send it directly to the company president.
