PEE Poll: What do you think of Toynami?
I love them and collect them all.
I really like them and have some.
I like them, but I don't have any.
I don't really care for them.
I'm just here for the free food.

Great ideas! Looks like Scruffy is the most wanted! Nice I love that character.  He's gotta come with the robot mop.  Hedonism bot is a cool one too! I always wanted to do the 1st bender robot that the Prof built in a flashback.  Alas that would basically be another Bender though haha.

Oh and Fnog is a must have also!

As do I. Sometimes if lotsa people are on the aisle with me I'll look at my phone as if a text message is there indicating what I'm looking for... I'm a pretty awkward shopper sometimes. I suppose I somewhat care how childish others think I am when I buy these things that are clearly for me as I'm nearly always wearing a geeky t-shirt when I leave my house to shop. As for Wedge, Hasbro pisses me off because I know it's intentional that he's so rare. I know there are figures made of him even in the newer Vintage line that came out last year but heck if I've been lucky enough to nab one. Biggest haul for me was at Toys R Us where I grabbed a sand Trooper and Boba Fett with the tabs still in the cards where they hang on the shelf. I'd have bought the rest of the tabbed ones had I had the money to. Not opening those ever~ I have opened the rest of my figures, even my Target exclusives and I've kept the packages (X-Wing pilot Luke included? Heck yeah I'm opening that!). They're worth less now, but the fact I kept the package is consolation because apparently those are collected as well.

Although with Futurama figures I squeal with delight and promptly run to the checkout and don't give a shit what people think.

I my self cannot pass a toysRus without going inside i dont know what the attraction is, as for the embarrasment factor its easy to solve do what i do if antbody looks at you funny or asks if your ok just use the words "Im jus looking for a present for my kid" works for me

Im starting to think im the only one that is collecting benders i have almost every bender that was made i have also the MAC Fry which i only bought for the sardines accessory, i almost spent a small fortune on Glorious golden Bender but realised it was the MAC version and im much more of a fan of the Toynami figures, its only small differences but the MAC version looks like they couldnt be arsed where as the Toynami version looks like there has been alot of effort put in, saying that personally i would love to purchase a :-
Toynami Glorious golden Bender
5 o'clock Rust bender
and how about HG Blob??

Also will there ever be any brain slugs just as accessories i would litterally buy 10 of what every figure they came with just to get the slugs, i actually spent £50 on a MAC Leela just to get the nibbler

Edit - Years ago in one of the comics there was a joke advert saying you could order ur fav celebrity head in a jar id love a Tom Green head in a jar as an accessory (i can provide a pic if needed)

Shit, well that sucks. This figure is having quite a turbulent journey into retail. I'm sure it'll be worth it though, plus I'll have more money by then so it won't seem like such a big chip into my funds...

it doesn't look like the toynami bender because when MAC lost the lisence and toynami picked it up they had all the molds MAC had. Bender (chef exlusive), Fry, Leela (and the exclusive swimsuit) Plant Express ship, im not sure if they have the 9'' nibbler..that's goin for almost two  bills.

tho, it'd probably sell. and people would love to have one. but then again the 1000 that do will wonder why they didn't just wait for the regualr lined version and not the limited to 1000.

@nacirema I see your point and Its a good one I think if I were a serious collector then I'd be pissed off finding out that my one of a kind model I paid a shit load for has suddenly decreased in value because of a new line made available, so I suppose it will never happen I guess the best thing to do is to go with @terpfan99's idea and get a normal one painted sucks for me though because the only decent benders I can find are all American and usually the price doubles when u add shipping, I have a warhammer shop near by do any of u know if they'll paint for me?? (due to me being completely useless)

O_o

I never even clicked the link until now because I presumed it was at the $199.99 listed everywhere else. Holy effing s#$% that is an amazing deal compared to what else is out there right now!!! The last 5 destructor auctions I was watching for price comparison on eBay went anywhere from $115-145. Wow.

How come I have never heard of them? They don't show up in Google Products Search results either, which is probably why they still have them listed in stock. I don't even know where they ship from, only that they are on Central Time so it must be within the U.S...I impulsively ordered before doing research on them but sounds like you guys know what you are talking about.

Im glad were all very excited about destructor I ordered one from play.com but durin my borin days at work scroll through these pages on different topics and notice alot of people say that gender bender will only be available with destructor, are we being foolish or sensible because I know for damn sure if gender bender becomes available even with a figure I already have I'll be buying it in a heartbeat, might do his ego good having to fight two destructors

How much did you pay on play?

My advice: Keep the figure mint in package so that if they do make a gender bender + destructor you can resell the SDCC one and still make a hefty profit.

£55 I think, free delivery I thought about keeping it packaged but Im the kinda collector that can't wait to unbox it and hug it and hold it and tell it how much I love it lol, jus to clarify mint means never opened doesn't it??

Yes, typically sellers will list something as MIB (mint in box), NIB (new in box), MIP (mint in package), NIP (new in package) or MOC (mint on card). Also NRFB (never removed from box). If the package is sealed, and you cut the tape off a side, even if you never took the figure out it is no longer mint. You could list it as "new" and note that the tape is torn, but some buyers could get upset if you were to list it as MIB or something like that. I would not consider items with shelf/surface wear to be mint, so I typically don't use the mint categories UNLESS it is absolutely flawless. I will however note pieces as new if the item was not displayed (or in the case of futurama figures were you to sell one, opened).

There is only one Destructor left now on e-bay and it is at $169.99. So if you have doubts about keeping it, I strongly recommend once you get it to put it somewhere safe and protected so you could resell once a gender bender comes out with it. It is very tempting to open and play with it right away, but you could be costing yourself over $100 if you did that. If you don't care about owning two, then see to it as you will.

I recently opened up all my figures as before I simply did not have the shelf space for them. I like to pose and display them too. I knew I would never keep them boxed, I was just waiting for the day when i would have room. The hardest to open was Dr. Zoidberg. He was in his package probably like a week longer than the rest lol, because he is worth so much.

I will probably open m destructor right away, and if they do come out with a gender bender partner that it looks like I'll buy, then I'll give away one destructor to the boyfriend. I suppose he deserves one toy now and then :p

Ah futurefreak So generous with the giving away of the robut and stuff, I think uv'e given me alot to think about Im prob gonna take ur advice about keeping it boxed but hopefully everybody's opinion about toynami making us wait 600 years for a release is wrong I don't wanna look at destructor everyday thinking I should take him out with the temptation getting worse and worse then giving In and ripping the box open only to find that the next day gender bender is to be released.... That would call for a full on calculon Nooooooo while Im here ranting on caffeen free and making no sense is there a topic or somewhere I can post pictures of my figures? I try to involve my family and friends but they personally think Im wastin my time :(

Even if you open it, you'll still be able to resell it at a nice price I would imagine, but just not as much as you could be getting. For the price you paid, you'd probably make it all back I would estimate. But why open if you might not keep it anyway? Up to you man, do what makes you happy.

And yes, there is a thread for photos of collections - we encourage you to post them in the "How Much Ya Got?" thread located here.

MuchAdo, how did you come to find out their quantity? Is it one of those things where you put in an enormously large quantity and then they revise it to only the quantity they have in stock?

Also I am surprised they even have that many left. If there were only 1000 made, how did they come to acquire so many of those? To those who bought them at SDCC - when you pre-ordered them there, did they limit the quantity you could get? Because when my friend got me the Bender Tineez she had to buy one, leave, and come back again later since they wouldn't sell two to the same person. I was able to preorder 2 Plush Robot Devils, however, and they only made 666 of those, so I am guessing that is what happened.

Future you are correct, merely put an item in your BBTS cart and change the quanity to a rather large number and then refresh the page to see how many of an item is actually left in stock.

Just to save people time here is an updated list-

BBTS Stock Updates 4/4/2012:

SDCC 2011 11" Destructor Exclusive Figure - 15 remaining in stock.

Robot Devil 9" Talking Figure - 19 remaining pre-orders.

Futurama Tineez 3 Piece Set Version 1.2 - 12 remaining pre-orders.

Futurama Encore Series 02 - Set of Fry & Farnsworth - 8 remaining pre-orders.

Futurama Encore Series 02 - Professor Farnsworth (solo) - 1 remaining pre-order.

Futurama Encore Series 02 - Fry (solo) - backordered.

I love BBTS, they have the best prices on all-new Futurama merch. and they have a great history of customer satisfaction.

I'm happy to know that they had over 100 pre-order slots for those tineez and for the new encore set series 2 only two weeks ago and that's what is left.

If these keep selling this well.. Toynami will be giving us more new series figures, it just might take them a really long time to get them developed.

I never even heard of the Talking Robot Devil - hmm, when you do a pre-order, do they charge you right away or only when it becomes available in stock to them? Do you know if these are gonna be rare items or they are just new? Ie. it doesn't sound like they are SDCC exclusives or anything. Last time I was able to get the Tineez pack on Amazon for $25.

Yes, these are all new releases slated for a September release.
Yes, they don't charge you until it's in and ready to be shipped.
SDCC 2011 Destructor is the only new exclusive figure that I know of right now.
The next Tineez figures set (1.2) is only $17.99 at BBTS.

Go to this link for more on the 'Talking Robot Devil Figure' and more awesome stuff:
http://slurmed.com/news/2012-02-18/new-toynami-futurama-figures-and-products-at-toy-fair-2012

Oh and there's this gallery I saw someone else post - http://toyfair2012.figures.com/showgallery.php?cat=519

and this old toyfair link if you haven't seen the robot mafia yet..
http://slurmed.com/news/2011-02-16/new-toynami-futurama-waves-10-and-11-and-deluxe-action-figures

Also here's the link to the Futurama Big Bad Toy Store page:
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=229

If I can be of any more help feel free to ask; as I love these damn toys, and I want everyone to know about them and also to buy them so every character on the show worth owning gets made.

We don't just need a Scruffy and Hedonismbot toy... we deserve it, lol.

BBTS Stock Update 4/5/2012:
SDCC 2011 11" Destructor Exclusive Figure - $64.99 - only 10 remaining in stock,
and only substandard left.

Meaning the packaging condition is 60% mint (C6), to 80% mint (C8).

The funny thing is I haven't ordered Destructor yet, and don't know if I plan too.

I want to wait and see if a retail version actually comes out or not (I know it probably won't the way things have been going) b/c it's suspose to have "The Gender Bender' toy to go with the big Destructor toy.

Good to know peoples BBTS Destructor orders are shipping out.

I went ahead a pre-ordered the Robot Devil Talking Figure, Futurama Tineez 3 Piece Set Version 1.2, and Futurama Encore Series 02 - Fry & Farnsworth a couple weeks ago... I wish it was September already!
