I'm sure his Roberto is fine.  I think the white balance on his camera may have been off a little.  AWESOME collection, my good sir!

Thank you very much :) I think you're right.  I took the pics with my camera phone so the pics didn't turn out that great.

Thank you sir :) Yes it did set me back a bit, but I tried to find the best deals on Ebay instead of rushing it.   Once I have everything completely set up I'll post some final pics.  I have some posters, etc that need framed so I have a long way to go  :hmpf:

I got the Robot Santa/Santa Bender set and Parallel Zoidberg off eBay too, not sure if I'd have managed to acquire them otherwise. Looking forward to your final pix once everything is set up and framed :)...

Yea, if you have the patience you can find some of the pieces you need for a decent price.  I got a regular Zoidberg for around a $100 which is cheap compared to what they go for most of the time.

I'm entirely jealous of that pre-production Leela and I'm also annoyed to see that they had fabulous articulation for her only to scrap it. Also how the Hell did you get Fry to hold his Holophoner? Seems damn near impossible for my figure.

I got that pre-production Leela for $75.  Not sure why I bought her, but I'm obsessed with Futurama and it seems I must have everything related to it :p

As for the Holophoner, I just kinda jam it in his hands :)

I know it's a bit off topic, but are there any "other" figures you guys collect?  I have ALOT of Family Guy stuff (actually way too damn many), some Lord of the Rings figures,  some LOST McFarlane figures, and a few Star Wars figures, but my pride and joy is Futurama :)

my primary collecting is Star Wars, but Futurama is #2. If I didnt spend so much on SW, I would probably have a Zoidberg or two & Robot Devil by now :/

I don't really have a lot of Star Wars figures because their are so damn many of them, and I got started collecting way to late to get heavily involved with that line.  I have a bit of OCD and when I start collecting I tend to go overboard with it. So I decided to stay away from some of the more "established" lines where I had to invest my entire life savings in order to have them all.  My best collection is Futurama as far as completeness goes, as well as awesomeness! :)

I also have a collection of Firefly/Serenity figures which I'm quite proud of :)  Not sure how many of you are fans of that show, but they had a very short lived line of figures and I have them all except one.  I'm only missing the "Final Battle Mal" figure that is super rare.  I've scoured the internet for a year now looking for it!

Edit: OMG wow I finally got my LAST figure (also the most rare) for my Firefly/Serenity line today!  What a coincidence.  :D

Nice.  I was thinking of getting into the Simpsons, but the line is rather big and I didn't want to have to take a bunch of time/money to get them all.  I do buy some random figures from time to time.  I have a 20 inch tall Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters that is a SDCC exclusive.  It was an impulse buy lol

I was thinking of getting some Terminator stuff too, but my wife gets rather annoyed with me buying so many figures  :nono:

I used to collect some Halo figures. I stopped when I realized I had a life to attend to.
Not intentionally trying to offend, just an FYI. So, calm down.
Yet again, I'm currently trying to collect other stuff besides figures. Mainy other BioShock and Halo merchandise. Maybe a couple of cool-looking figures now-and-then, but that's maybe about it, really.  :p
BTW, DAMN! Look at all those cool Futurama stuff! I wish I had that much to begin with...

Lol my wife only allows it because all my junk, as she calls it, is confined to my one room (mancave) in the house.  It's not allowed outside of that room.  She gets the whole house, and I'm relegated to one room.    :hmpf:

With Futurama figures on quasi-hiatus this year, I started collecting Marvel Universe 3.75" figures in May and they've quickly become my main line having bought a ton in recent months.

Before Futurama, I was really into the South Park and Family Guy lines from Mezco, which were both great but have since ended (though some reissues are still trickling out).

And before that I was buying some Star Wars, which were the first toys I'd bought since I was a kid. Got into them for the nostalgia factor when the prequels started up.

But realizing there was no way I could keep up with more than fraction of the volume coming out, I figured when the prequels ended that was a good time to put my Star Wars away.

No other lines on the horizon for me now, just Marvel Universe and Futurama. I like KidRobot’s Futurama and now South Park, but I won’t do the blind box thing and buying them on eBay seems crazy expensive.

I’m really into Doctor Who now and might one day by the box set of all the doctors in 3.75” as a one-off. Oh, and for the record, Firefly kicked ass and well worth watching if you haven’t seen it.

Hey, Jabalong, if you see the re-issue of Mezco's Stan from South Park, you'll notice that they've fixed his eyes!  He looks SO much more like Stan with the fixed eyes.  I had to pick him up and replace the original release.

Sorry to get offtopic, but what was wrong with the original Stan's eyes? Out of curiosity of course; the only South Park figure I have is Starvin' Marvin...

Oh, and the Kidrobot Cartman.

Sorry to get offtopic, but what was wrong with the original Stan's eyes? Out of curiosity of course;
They're a tiny bit too small and they're at the wrong angle.  The bottoms of the eyes curve with the head too much.  I can't find a good picture of the re-release Stan online, which stinks, but if you search ebay you can see him in package and it's a better likeness.  It's easy to find the old Stan's pic there too.  :)

Sorry for this slight dip out of the future, we now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion.
 I love Futurama!!!

I regularly rotate my collection so the figures at the back will come foreward at some point.

EDIT: I just realised you can't see URL but he's behind the Zoidbergs. The only figures I don't have are the Santa/Bender 2 pack.

Close up of Devil with Fry's hands.

Nixon's body is finally permanent, he's holding the new bender's head :p.

This is my other shelf which has the alternate figures of the characters.

Close up of Fry with Devil hands.

Someone mentioned if anyone collects any other figures, here's a few of the other figs that I have.

TMNT by NECA

And I'm just starting a Simpsons collection, I only have a few at the moment, I have a few more coming in the post though.

I got my Leela from Forbidden Planet in the UK, and my Fry was from America (I got an encore Fry for the devil hands one), so if I were you I'd just keep an eye out on ebay, they'll pop up. Amazon is also always a good place to find them.

do they just pop out?

No, I wouldn't reccomend just trying to pop them out, boil a kettle and put the hot water into a bowl, dip the hands and part of the arms in and it will soften the plastic, then they will pop out without damaging, and you need to swap them while the arms are still soft.

You can get re-issue Fry from Amazon (about $20-$30) and I found a shop in Western Australia that still had original Bender and Leela for about $25AUS each....Shop is called Kollectable Kaos... hope it helps
