I do have one Futurama Giclee, the Ho-Ho-Holiday Of Horror one. I just likes the art, and the print is really nice quality, also it's numbered...
Oh, like a limited run of lithographs. I see.

Yeah, if you could get Matt Groening to sign it yet at something like a ComicCon event it would probably up the value a bunch.

I've not heard of Man of Action Figures, but they're taking preorders on Series 10, Clamps and Joey Mousepad. I wouldn't get excited though, as looks like they're just working off the ToyFair pics rather than distributor or Toynami catalog pics, and the fact that nobody else is offering these yet suggests that they aren't available to retailers yets for preorder. It's puzzling to me that almost three months after ToyFair, nothing is available for preorder, except those Tyneez things. And what's the deal with Morbo and Lrrr, whose prototypes were first unveiled 10 months now!? *sigh*

Good point, Jabalong. Toynami need to pull their collective fingers out and start updating their (atrociously out of date) website with news! 10 months is a long time! We can't really even begin to get properly excited about the Mafia until we see some Morbo and Lrr news!

lemily33 - Thank you, I'm still pretty new to cartoon sculpts, but theyre a lot of fun! And yes I painted most of the prototypes also, though the production always varies slightly unfortunately.
lamecius - I'd love to know myself. I know they originally were going to do a BAF with him and then decided to releases him as a regular figure. i remember them saying he would be vinyl? But yeah I sculpted that one a long time ago. But I don't know anything about the business side of toys. But if I hear anything I'll definitely pass along the info!
DannyJC13 - Ive done all of them since Toi left. So mine start with Farnsworth and Hermes.........which were the first action figures I've ever done. I did all special fx work before. But toys are fun too!

nacirema - I am also not excited about talking bender. I don't really know why, to many benders, excitement is eclipsed by the wait for other (different) figures such as the robot mafia, or maybe I just can't see myself ever appreciating the feature.
I can definitely see the appeal though and imagine the figure will be a cash cow for Toynami. Hopefully this will speed up the production of the other figures (fingers crossed).
SculptBoy - Thanks for stopping by with the update or non-update. The most frustrating thing about Toynami is the lack of info. Waiting for the figures would be a lot easier if they would update their website with a timeline once in a while.
Anyway, I thought you would already have a figure as the designer of these awesome creations but I guess you're in the same boat as everyone else. BTW, did you work on the Tineez? What are your thoughts on those?

apexxx - Thank you! I'm not sure whats up with the release dates. I'm sure its a lot to do with money but I guess smaller companies like Toynami have a lot more at stake with tooling a new figure. I know the molds alone are really expensive. Even DC Direct has release date issues. But maybe its a quality control situation too, I'm not sure. But I'm still doing Futurama stuff so theres definitely a future!!

Hmmm, have you worked on sculpts for anymore Futurama figures beyond the ones we saw at Toy Fair (Destructor, Robot Mafia, Flexo)? Don't expect you to name names, but just curious if there are more in the pipeline already. To echo what others have said, really appreciate you dropping by now and again. Any chance you could put in a word with someone at Toynami to see if anyone there would like to drop by here sometime too? Peelified, and this thread in particular, is arguably the biggest discussion of Toynami Futurama figures online and a great place for someone from Toynami to do a little fan outreach. Could even set up a Q&A or something. I know you're not with Toynami, but maybe you could whisper in someone's ear there...

I had pre-ordered my talking Bender from bigbadtoystore.com and I received my talking Bender today! He's pretty cool! Sculpt wise talking Bender is pretty much just like the 6 inch Bender. He looks really cool in the box and I was excited to open him up. Once I did, I noticed he seems a tad plain just because he's pretty much all grey, but hey that's Bender!
I'm happy with him! I think he makes a great display piece. The 3 eye choices are good (half lids, wide open and angry) and for sure the 3 I'd have picked. His door opens but his chest isn't completely hollow like the 6 inch, since he stores his talking device inside. The voice is fine, it sounds like most talking toys his size I'd say. Good line choices and I find it loud enough and clear enough. Toynami has made a very accurate sculpt of Bender and I like having a bigger Bender around, it's for sure a fun addition to my collection.
I don't have many negative thoughts... but I do have a couple- but nothing too serious. His paint is decent but his hand and foot cup paint seems slightly clumpy. The bendy material of his arms and legs seems to be a softer material than the 6 inch Bender, but I don't think it will cause issues with his standing (not as bendy, but not necessarily weaker) - mine stood nice and easy with just a couple slight, tiny moves. I just didn't feel like I could get as much bending out of them, although I didn't really try because I didn't want to lose the sweet spot I found for him to stand perfectly. In fairness, I don't bend my 6 inch Bender's arms & legs at all once I got them how I wanted them. His head seems shinier than the rest of his body and it's because his head isn't the same plastic as the rest of him, which I understand because they used a more solid plastic to house the voice. I think if his body had been somewhat more shiny he could have been even better. Overall, he was well worth the purchase and I like him. I hope that he sells well and we can see a talking 9 inch Fry and Zoidberg!!

-"Well, that was dumb." -"Bite my shiny metal ass." -"Well, we're boned." -"Hey sexy mama, wanna kill all humans?" -"Goodbye losers, who I've always hated!" -"Shut the Hell up!" -"Would you KINDLY shut your noise hole?" -"I'm gonna go build my own theme park with blackjack and hookers- in fact forget the theme park." -"Who are you and why should I care?" -"Shut up and pay attention to me- Bender." -"Hasta La Vista, meatbag!" -"Aw, here's a little song I wrote to cheer you up, it's called- let's go already!" -"Do the Bender, do the Bender, it's your birthday, do the Bender." -"Shut up baby, you love it!"

There's a seller on Amazon actually trying to sell Zoidberg Series 1 WITHOUT box AND Devil's Head for $125.00. What an insult. Good luck.
