Hi, all! This is my first post here, and first off I want to say that you're all awesome and I've been lurking for a bit because you're always high in my Google search results. I went a little crazy with the recent outage. :laff:

Anyway, I need a quick answer about MAC Bender (the "Kill All Humans" apron variant). Is his apron removable? I need to know because I'm thinking of doing a Glorious Golden repaint of the regular figure. I want the variant mostly because of the adorable mini-Bender accessory, but if the apron is removable, that's awesome.

Thanks, everyone!

AFAIK it's moulded on. The variants tend to be actual variations on the "normal" figurines. Since I've only seen the thing online though, I don't actually know. There are several reviews of various Futurama figures on PEEL and in other places, so I suggest asking your pal Google for some advice.

Or maybe somebody here will know the answer. It's not likely, since people here are the type to keep the damn thing in the box for a thousand years.

Yes, hat and apron are removable 100%.

totalnerd, I did some Google-fu, but since this is a variant there's just no info about it that I can find. And yeah, I can imagine the desire to keep it in the box. XD

Bender, do you have it, then? How does mini-Bender look?

Thanks for the help, all!

Enormous fun if you're a greedy collector like most of us nerds here.

You can display them without the packaging. :-)

I have that one... but without the chef pieces.  I didn't realize it was a different toy set.

*forths at the mouth* Put the collector's value. It's significantly less! *faints* [/supernerd]

Don't worry, I display my figs outta the box too. :D

I don't collect things so I can sell them later (well, sometimes I do, but in that case I pack one or two away and display one of them out of the package). They have value to me even if they're worth half as much out of the package. The value of posing and gently playing is far higher to me than resale value. :)

The only time I open anything is if it's in a box I can put them back in later should I need to sell them. I have no initial intention to do such, but I plan for the future just in case. Who knows? I could be sitting on thousands of dollars. Or nerdy dreams that will never become reality. Oh well.

Factory-sealed or NRFB (never removed from box) is different from opened. If it's been used for display, it still won't go for as high as it would were it NRFB. /eBaynerd

I keep them in the packaging right now because I don't have the room to display them and I don't wanna lose their small parts :nono:

When I get my own place though I intend to have a Shelf of just futurama figures and other accessories I might be able to use. I'm still gonna keep the boxes though :)

i have one MOC, and one opened.

what makes them awesome is the stands they come with.

i too wish they'd make dioramas for the futurama figures. MAC was on to something with those. for sure.
