Hello, im a newbie so, hi! :D
So i was walking at the mall, decided to start my futurama dvd colection (too busy trying to compete my simpsons dvd collection) so i went to one of my favorite retail (FYE) and found that the volumes 1-4 looked different (i bought volume 1, but will come back for more) bought it (used copy) for 16.00 (new copys were 25.00) went home and found that the set was released in 2009,the discs are the same art as the bender head set (don't have it, saw the disc art online) i took pics:

Any questions or dissusions about this?
EDIT 9-15-10: ITS NOT THE SAME DISC ART AS THE BENDER HEAD. :hmpf:

Well, I have a portable dvd player, which as a 16:9 screen, so it stretches my dvds very nicely and that's what your seeing the menus on. :)

The disc art (and outer box art) is the same as that of the original fatpack box set as is the art of the menus. We got the slimline ones in Australia (Region 4) several years back. Also, the menus of the old fatpacks were in wide screen (where available) despite the episodes not having that ratio.

I have the one that's all four series in a square box, the art is different than this as well. Maybe I'd post pictures but I'm lazy.

The R2 DVDs were in a similar configuration, (think that the episodes were in 16:9 too, but not sure.) The art was the same, except for the back. I'd prefer the head, I think it's "cooler".

I have the original American DVD ones with the sleeves and separate thin cases for each DVD...

Do seasons 1 & 2 have a "Play All" function on the disc so it will just run from episode to episode? The original seasons 1 & 2 did not have "Play All" but seasons 3 & 4 did.

Nope, they're still literally the same DVDs, it's only the packaging that has been changed.
