I was just at Amazon.com and pre-ordered something called Futurama-O-Rama.

I know that it "will be published October 2002", is listed as a paperback and is published by Harperperennial Library. The author is listed as Matt Groening.

Does anyone know what this actually is?

Afraid not but it sounds cool, maybe a biography about Futurama's life? I might get it myself but I'll wait until there's a picture.

Sounds neat; could be one of several things I am thinking.  The first thing that springs into my head would be possibly a compilation of Bongo comics (I know amazon sells Life in Hell compilations).  Course, it could be virtually anything.

Anybody have "The Complete Guide to the Simpsons" and "Simpsons Forever"? I bet this is an episode guide just like them.

Yeah, but all the episodes in them have already been aired, surely they would wait until all the Season 4 episodes have aired before making a book. In the Simpsons guides, every episode includes the original airdate.

Well, Amazon.com has virtually no detail, and I couldn't find more online. However, Groening is also credited for the Simpsons Bongo Comics collections on Amazon, and as much as I want this to be something more, it's probably just another comic collection.

After a little research, and mostly conjecture it appears to be a Bongo Comics collection like Simps-O-Rama, of which I was unaware.  I wish they would do an episode guide though.

thank you BumbleBeeTheta

Now that the statistics class flashback have subsided....

Then again, "Futurama-O-Rama (Now?)" was the name given to, or at least used to describe, some behind the scenes question and answer type thing at a San Diego Comic book convention in 1999.

I was hoping that Futurama-O-Rama would be a book showing the various quirks and anecdotes of New New York and the cast of characters. Like The Simpsons Guide to Springfield.

There probably WILL be one down the line--probably in the middle of the fifth season, if that ever happens, dagnabit--but in the meantime, of all the unofficial ones on the internet, I recommend this set.

Ha. My 'source' for Bongo comics is crossing my fingers and wandering around the mall looking at comic and magazine racks.

Its the best system I've got.

I've yet to find a Futurama comic anywhere except the one i bought in the miami airport.  :D

Amazon.co.uk has a different Futurama pre-order. This time is called "Futurama Vol 1" and is released in August. My bet is that its a comic collection (128 pages).

Yeah, that's probably it. Just like the Bart Simpson one coming out. This one'll probably contain #1-#4. Seeing as how I already have those issues, I think I'll pass.
