Can't find a full solicitation listing for Bongo's July, but TFAW has added new Simpsons issues for July and no Futurama, so #72 is looking like August.

Futurama is set to do only doing five issues a year now, which Bongo has done before with Futurama... but six issues a year was nice.

Issue #71 ("Pizza Wars") was okay, the art was great but the story so-so. It was just crammed with references to Italy and Italian stuff, and the plot literally focused on pizza. No callbacks to Fry's days at Panucci Pizza or anything, either.

I was expecting a little more since the issue was written by Jimmy Palmiotti, who (according to Wikipedia) has been working on Marvel comics since 1991, but oh well. At least we got to see Leela in a sexy outfit.

Issue #71 ("Pizza Wars") was the worst issue I have ever read.
It was not funny, the story was dumb, and all the dialogue felt forced and boring.
Even sexy Leela could not save this pizza shaped abomination.

The two issues we've got so far haven't been the best, The Devil and Professor F. was waaaaay better than Pizza Wars, though. I'm looking forward to #72, the plot sounds decent enough, even if it is similar to the episode "Brannigan, Begin Again".

Came here to see what the skinny was on Futurama comics and I'm glad to see I'm not going nuts and that my subscription hasn't been cancelled at my local comic store. A shame to see less issues out this year, but I'm glad they're still going at all.

I haven't gotten the newly released September issue in the mail yet.. and already I'm more excited for the next one with robot zombies!!!
I enjoy Eric Rogers as a writer, he'll deliver more great issues... I hope.

I concur #71 is total garbage... maybe the worst issue ever.
And I personally thought #72 was pretty great, it felt like a mini-episode to me!
Thus, I'm excited for #73 now more than ever.

Futurama Comics #73 is probably the best issue I've ever read!

In all honesty, this issue is actually better than most of the CC episodes.

I'm pretty sad that this issue wasn't made into an episode of the series it was so brilliant!

Great continuity, great jokes, great backstory, great plot, great use of all the characters, hits all the right story beats, explains more Prof./Mom backstory, and it explains how the Prof. got the land to build the PE building on!

Overall one of the best Futurama adventures... ever.

#74 was pretty good, the storyline was kinda rushed but they had some neat ideas in places, like the reality where everything is made of words and the reality where everything works in reverse. Not too shabby.
