i read #64. it's ok but i hate the cover. i like the myface joke. the rest of the book is typical Futurama, making the plot disappointing

I hope #64 is out around the 14th for me where I live, right after BD Volume 7 is out on the 11th.

Woo-hoo!

Comparative to some dissenting opinions I thought #64 was one of the best comics by far.  I got quite a few thorough laughs out of it and I cannot wait for the next one.  I am still unclear as to how bender gets drunk, or not Its kinda hard to grasp with how its presented.

To quote fry "Bender your seeing things, you've been drinking too much, or too little, I forget how it works with you.  Either way you haven't drank exactly the right amount."

Interesting that FUTURAMA COMICS #66  is written by Eric Rogers, b/c now that's the one I'm pumped for!

Don't you have a comic store near you, or at least a reliable one?

Comic shops often get shorted some items, if that's where you've been going. It might be that they only re-request shorted items if people ask for it, and Futurama Comics probably isn't high demand there. My local seems to get their delayed items 2-3 weeks later.

My comic provider is just getting slower at getting them..

The nearest one near me isn't near me at all, I used to rely on my ex to pick them up for me as the store was located near his area >_<

Toys R Us was carrying them but then they stopped, I think. Barnes and Noble never had them. Borders always did

I just got 64 in the mail, but I am sitll like 4 or 5 comics behind! I need more time dammit!

BTW, someone in NY has all the comics (mostly, I didn't look at every one) for sale individually starting at 99 cent bids it looks like, even Issue #1, so if you are looking for one particular issue that seems like a nice way to snag one up.

#65 has now been solicited: http://theinfosphere.org/Futurama_Comics_65. Paying a solar power bill to people on the Sun; Hmm, Son of the Sun, Ra-Ra the Sun King, someone else? Taking all bets!

Continuity? No.

#65 is out. None of the Sun's previously seen denizens show up.

Just picked up #65. Speaking of continuity, there are two big things that stood out to me:

Leela says they need to stop to refuel on their way to the sun, and Bender asks why they can't get Nibbler to poop some dark matter - Leela responds that he is asleep so they need to stop. No mention of the fact dark matter was rendered useless at the end of Bender's Game.
Two pages prior, Nixon refers to Agnew as "the headless clone of Spiro Agnew", which is an obvious reference to Into the Wild Green Yonder (which as we all know took place after Bender's Game)... Boy, I hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

Well it's (almost) about time to go check to see if they ever got this issue in at the bookstore.

Update: I just got #65, and it's pretty damn good.
Other than the use of Nibbler and dark matter, it was a good read.

The new issue is slated to drop on March 27th at comic book shops and is written by Eric Rogers.

So that's April 17th for the news stands.

Randifreak has suggested I advertise my Futurama comics on PEEL before I put them up on ebay, just in case anybody wants them and then I wouldn't have to worry about seller fees and such.

Issues #1-15. They're the Australian version, although I don't know if that makes them all that different to any other prints. They're in mostly good condition, only minimal signs of wear around the edges. There's a bit of smudging on some where there used to be a price label, or perhaps from storage, for example:

Oh, also, there's the individual Simpsons/Futurama Crossover Crisis comics, two two-parters. Infinitely Secret and Crisis II, I believe.

I would prefer to post within Aus if possible, unless you're willing to pay a bajillion dollars for overseas postage, for I am not. Aus postage would be about $7 for any amount of comics under 500g, eg the 4 crossovers, or $13 for all the comics with or without the crossovers. Unless you want registered post which is slightly more. Make me an offer I can't refuse, or something. Otherwise....to the ebayery!

#66 "The Board Game Games" is out and I guess Amphibiosan is canon now (it's a comic, but Eric Rogers wrote it).

Yup. I'd considered throwing quotes around the name for clarity. I remember suggesting that name at the Infosphere and Wikipedia back in '06. If I recall correctly there was a lot of renaming going on in the Wikipedia article around that time (briefly Amphibiosians). Can't confirm it since they deleted the page. 'sphere's talk page confirms 'pedia settled the debate before us.

Quote from: theinfosphere.org/Amphibiosans#Trivia
The term "Amphibiosan" is derived from the name of the planet and, while an accurate description of the planet's life forms, may not be the species' correct name.

Unfortunately that's still true.

The Board Game Games was alright, but as I said on Futurama Madhouse, it felt like something you'd see in a Simpsons comic (which I haven't read in years) but with science fiction added in.

The Board Game Games had those small reference to The Hunger Games book/movie. It's wasn't bad, but for sure not my favorite.

Bongo Comics for July - no Futurama Comics #68 (it is apparently due for UK release on 1 August in UK#067 with US#067)

Yeah the new issue was just average, although I liked all the characters they used.
And it did have some pretty funny stuff.
But I also thought the art and coloring sucked.

Bring on the next one, I'm ready for a Zoidberg plot!

After Zoidberg's issue in May... no more new Futurama comics for June, July, or August.

Has Bongo ended the series due to bad sales??

Can't be, Futurama comics still carried on after the original run got cancelled. Why would they end it now?

*edit*

Sigh, you may be right. :(
