Shush you. I was much too busy at that time brooding over how I have a naked Lrr to think about the obvious. I swear I'm a blond. Besides that I wanted some HD up close shots of the accessories so I could make my own accessories out of Sculpey and have them be as accurate as possible. This image should help. Forgive my bout of stupid.

Well, now that Nibbler is on his way to Danny, I wonder if he's going to work towards collecting the rest of the set?

He'll need a lot of moolah, I mean how much would the rest of the set cost in today's market? Just the Robot Devil alone is like over £100.00 on eBay...

Put Nibbler's head on Zapp's body to create the Mighty Zibbler! Or Zappler. Or Napp. Or even Nippler Brannigan.

Are Kidrobot going to do another series?

I'm all Kidroboted out at the moment.   I finally got the Yummy Dessert ice cream sandwich plush, and the strawberry ice cream keyring.  (Just checked the kidrobot website, am disappoint with the new plushes they have made.  So very disappoint.)

I have bought so many of those keychains of of the bay. My collection grew exponentially in the last few weeks :O_o: Now all I'm missing is that Jamaican cookie thing, and I have them all. I'd like to get all the Yummy Donut keychains one day (not the plush) but that will take time...

I've switched their bodies before, Danny. The weirdest combination I ever did was Fry's head on Leela's body...kind of a Neutopia thing going on :nono:

If I get the Jamaican cookie thing I'll trade.   It doesn't really look like a piece of confectionary, so I'd much rather have something like the ice cream sandwich or the popsicles. (Also, what do you think of the new plushes they've shown?  I don't really like them, since again they don't really look like cookies or pies, just abstract shapes.  I was keen on getting the cupcake plush, but Kidrobot declined my card, and now they've sold out permanantly.  Bummer.  I'm just glad I got the pancake when I had the chance!)

You mean these?

I can see what you mean by them just looking like shapes, that's why at first I was hesitatnt to get started on the other ones. If I see them go up on Amazon though I will probably get them...I'm not too impressed with the pie, but I do like the green and yellow one.

...Imagine is Kidrobot did Futurama plush? It's probably be similar to Toynami's...but softer!

Yeah, those are the ones I mean.  The Blueberry pie in particular could have looked so much better.  I like the blue dougnut, but its already a recolor of one I already have, and the black and white cookie looks even more like a shape then the pie does.   I am feeling fairly disappointed as there are so many better designs they could have used (the popsicles and the ice cream double scoop in partiluar, or the bundt cake)  I also want them to do more of the Yummy Breakfast range (in partiular the croissant or the cinnamon roll or the waffle)

Yeah I agree, it feels lazy to me. The pancakes one was probably the most intricate they did along with the ice cream sandwich. They look cute but obviously they are staying away from those odd-shaped ones (the popsicles, or the jello). I would like to see the jello ones though that would be cool, and a banana!

Erm...we better take this to the shopping thread in Offtopic, or collection thread :shifty:

We... probably should.  I still think the picked the blandest designs to turn into plushes, this round.  The others were much better, since the only one I didn't really care for was the pizza.

I asked Eric and Aimee about a possible Series 2 of the Futurama KidRobot figures, Eric said:

@DannyJC13 @aimeekitty I think that's the plan but not 100% sure....

Aimee added:

@Kitchelfilms @dannyjc13 that'd be cool, I loved what they did w the previous ones. I only own those and Gender Bender :)

Professor, Hermes, Amy, Kif, Cubert and Linda are some easy possibilities. Elzar, Robot Santa, The Donbot, Clamps, Joey Mousepad and Tinny Tim are possible too. Maybe Dwight and LaBarbara. Mayor Poopenmeyer? Al Gore?

Oh! Nixon, Walt, Larry and Igner?

Question; amazon are selling these blind boxed for £8.95 with free delivery. Then again I could get certain figures on eBay for £5.85 including delivery, however those would not be blind boxed and therefore there would be no chance of getting a rare one. Is it worth the risk of paying more for a blind boxed one in the hope I get lucky with a rare one? Or should I bite the bullet and buy the cheaper non-blind boxed ones with zero chance of getting a rare one?...

If you have a bunch of cash to burn, it's worth ordering twenty from Amazon. If you're limited by budget, collect the non-rares via eBay, then order two or three from Amazon in the hopes of getting a rare. In practice, you will end up with duplicates either way. But you'll then be able to sell those or swap them.

Getting the whole series will prove costly and frustrating either way.

I guess I might pluck down the cash for ten blind boxes, I don't think I could stretch any further than that in one hit though. I might have to wait a little bit as I've only just bought Destructor, but I feel like I'm on the cusp of readiness to commit to the Kid Robot Futurama figure series!...

Nice idea, but two things, does every full case have at least one of every character in it for definite? I'm guessing not, because why would someone be selling the Robot Devil alone for more than the cost of a full case? Secondly, all of those are from America, so import duty/postage will be a lot. If every case definitely has at least one of every character in it though, then it's worth it, but I'm cynical. Please prove me otherwise...

No, each case is full of blind boxes. You could get duplicates of 3 characters or, miraculously, get them all. If you are a seller on e-bay, it would be better to buy the case, open them up, and sell the duplicates on there. If you don't want to do that, then you'd just have to order the singles off there and either don't get the rare one or pay the price for it when someone puts it up for auction. I've seen them sell particular styles on Amazon, too, that's how I got Sal. Everyone else I was lucky enough to acquire in person at the brick-and-mortar store level.

Just, if you are thinking about getting a case, don't order them individually. You will regret it later and end up spending more money on them because, like tnuk said, you'll get duplicates either way. Ordering the cases are fun though because you get a big chance all at once of acquiring what you want, as well as getting a nice display box out of it (I got mine from a store in the mall when I bought pretty much all they had on display for $10 each, including Slurms, so I asked if I could take it).

You have to make up your mind now which path to take, individual or blind, because if you decide to do one later on like I said, it'll cost you more money.

I will note that I have probably 25 pieces of this line, because of duplicates. I have refrained from selling them though because I use the duplicates in other places, like I kept a Fry and Lrrr in my car for a time on the dashboard, so since they were extras I didn't care about fading and whatnot.

I bought a few individuals and then bought a case, I have the three rare ones, two of each of the normal line and a few more to spare. I got my Slurms in my case. Unless you are going to buy them all individually then buy a case, it's great getting 16 at once and you get the outer box which is pretty cool. As it is 16 items, I didn't pay import taxes as each item is below the individual limit to be VATable.

If you want to ebay then wait until I get round to selling my duplicates :)

Ok, I've just bought a full sealed case. I emailed one of the eBay sellers of a full case to ask them if they would mark the postage down. They said they usually mark them as a gift with value $40. I've taken the risk, both with import duty and with what figures I get. Thanx for all the advice guys, you persuaded me that getting a full case is probably my best option...

I'll report back when I receive it and let you know what figures I get. I so badly want a Robot Devil. If I get one of those I'll be over the moon!...
