not really, I need zoidberg and fry as well. They're crazy expensive. I would but them for maybe 200 for the set, but some people want 200 for just zoidberg. its nuts. I just keep checking eBay
lmao, that is insane. I got my regular Zoidberg a little while after it came out, and I got Fry when it rereleased without the build-a-bot part, I had no idea they were valuable now. I shouldn't have taken Zoidberg out of his package and then broken him. Who I still really want is Zapp. As for the build-a-bot parts, I don't really care, I never completed any of them, I just got the heads. I saw Mom today with Roberto's head, think I might get that. As for Lrrr, look at him next to wooden Bender! Surely those two can't be the same price, Lrr is like 12 times as big! As for the plushies, does anyone else think Bender is adorable in his ridiculous terribleness?

Ah cool, okay. Was pretty sure it hadn't come with the Toynami figures, though wondered if I might not be losing it, yet nevertheless was too lazy to go double-check my bag of accessories. Checking them out at this Infosphere page, it looks like KidRobot did some cool accessories for their Futurama figures. A pizza box for Fry, a violin for Robot Devil, a cigar for Bender...! Damn. Oh well, we had some great build-a-bots from Toynami, so guess can't have everything.

I'd be down for a set of these as well, but have no interest in the whole blind box / chase figure game. And the problem is, other than playing, you're going to have to pay a mint to buy these - saw the Robot Devil on eBay for $200!
If you check out that Infosphere page I linked to above, the problem is that besides this whole blind box game, KidRobot has also taken some of the arguably most popular characters (most of the cool aliens) and made them in reduced quantities.
Only 1% are Robot Devils, 5% are Slurms and Sals, and 6% Lrrrs, Morbos or Zoidbergs, while the others are all 12%. So it's that much more of a rigged game in that everyone's scrambling for an insufficient quantity of some of the best ones.
That's my read on this thing anyway. If they were available in relatively even quantities in boxes that you know what you're getting, like Toynami, I'd have been all over these. But otherwise, this reminds of those nearly impossible to win Carnival fair games.

no, almost definitely not, that eBay store is scamming you... lots of places pull the robot devil pieces out and sell the figures cheaper, they do it on amazon a lot. its pretty sleezy Wow that is pretty sleazy! They've crafted the ad so that they don't actually call it an "encore" release, which is what Toynami officially calls its re-releases. And they say that "each figure [is] still sealed in its individual window box", which just means the figure hasn't moved, but that's not the same as saying the package is still sealed, which it isn't if they've taken out the Robot Devil parts. I don't have a problem with someone taking out the Robot Devil bits and selling an incomplete figure package, but they ought to clearly say that's what it is, rather than trying to give the impression that it's something else. Basically, anyone buying these, should only be paying "loose" figure prices.

This is one of those thing, were if you did not get in the game early on, its pretty rough. I think i started collecting by the time series 5 came out. Back then, I ended spending $200.00 on Fry and Zoidberg. The rest were at there normal prices. I have not even check on the original series 2 and 3 prices. I am sure they have went up by now.

I would not be worried, just give it some time. The next thing you know, they will be pumping new ones out like gasoline.

Does anyone have suggestions on good base stands for these guys? Can't find any way to get the Professor up on his own.

You could also use the hot water trick.
Get the hot water running. Heat up Farnsy's legs and feet and bend them so he'll be able to stand on his own. Then cool him down in cold water to make it permanent.
I did this with my Farnsworth and Captain Yesterday figures. Both of which kept falling over. It's an easy fix and it works pretty well.
Thanks, I've done stuff like this in the (far) past, completely forgot about that possibility. If I don't come across any workable stands soon then I'll do that. Then I need to find an affordable S1 Zoidberg so I don't have to use the bendable Zoidberg as a stand in.

On the series 9 watch, EE now says November.
Woo-hoo! Damn, this is turning into the longest wait between figures so far. Looking at the release dates over at the Infosphere, we've had waits of five and six months before, but this one's turning into nine months. Ugh, oh well, at least it beats the alternative of the line dying, which I suspect was a very real possibility, hence the long delay in getting the next waves going. Oh baby, don't stop...
