This thread's gone quiet, so here's a little Zoidberg art while we wait for news...

It comes from here, though I found a link to it here on a page of Zoidbergs.

Personally i think Fry as a priest and the beast with a billion backs (Yivo) Together would make a great SDCC exclusive set this year, at least it's what i would like to see  :)

What about a series of Hover car models?

What about the comic con exclusive this year? Toynami has done one every year until now so I assume they'll have another one this year. The easiest exclusive would be the alternate universe Amy or Hermes because they're simple repaints. But I hope Toynami can give us something new. Either from the movies or the upcoming new season.

Also I wonder which two characters will complete the "Morbo series".

I'd love a couple of hooker bots.

Also, a couple of hooker bot figures would be cool as well.

I'll take two hooker bots and even a pimped-out Bender to go with them.

It's June! Going by last year we might expect to hear in about three weeks about an SDCC convention exclusive. The logical bet would be on some combination of Universe B Amy, Hermes and Farnsworth, which I'd be happy to have. Or who knows, maybe Toynami will pull a surprise out of their hat...

Well, if it is Bender in another different hat, at least it will be an exclusive rather than main series.

They could be really lazy and add a little black triangle onto Bender's chin and bring out a Flexo figure.

News about SDCC 2010 exclusives is coming out, here's an ongoing list.

Should hear about Futurama soon I'd expect...

While we wait for news, here's something to keep you busy...

About a week ago, optibotimus released a whole bunch of video reviews of the Toynami Futurama figures in his YouTube channel here. By my quick count there are 13 news ones, plus another four if you scroll down to two months ago. Enjoy.

It seems that the Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive of Toynami is not an action figure:

"Futurama plush Nibbler: Kicking off our new line of FUTURAMA Collector's Plush is the Comic-Con Exclusive, Nibbler in Shiny Jumpsuit!"

Yeah, he looks better than the rocket USA one. But does this indicate that Toynami's other line is ending...? (more thoughts on this item in the plushie thread)

Ugh, that's a real disappointment from the figure standpoint - wasn't expecting us not to have an SDCC exclusive this year.

Not the exclusive I was expecting but it is probably a good thing that Toynami is sort of broadening their Futurama line with plushy dolls. I won't be getting him though as I collect figures and figures only. I'm not too bummed that there's no comic con figure this year because - living in The Netherlands - it's quite pricey to get them. Maybe Toynami will have Wooden Bender, URL and Morbo on display again and hopefully they'll give some info on when we can expect them and if they have further plans for 2011 and beyond now that the show is back on the air.

Big Bad Toystore and Entertainment Earth have both updated their sites with the same new date of September 2010. Also Wooden Bender's eyes are different to what we last saw in the new pictures. Looks swappable.

September, sigh. It`s a long stretch between new figures. I wonder if this is why we`re not getting an SDCC exclusive this year - maybe Toynami couldn`t get one ready in time. Get the impression that maybe there was a delay on their side in terms of continuing the line and maybe by the time they decided on doing the Morbo series, it was too late to get something done for SDCC.

It could be that they were too concerned with planning their new stuffed toy line and getting another set of rights to produce it. Still, good to have a solid date. (it will inevitably shift backwards, but at least they're giving a specific month now.)

Toynami's booth/stall at SDCC next week (I'm guessing they must have one) will give us some new info on the rest of Morbo's wave, and the new plush line.

September is a long way, but at least when we see the boxes (if not sooner) we will know what the next two are gonna be.  Personally I think not having a scruffy this far into the line is blasphemous, but I'd probably accept anything.

Comic Con starting tomorrow will hopefully identify the other two figures in the Morbo line. Anyone in the UK needs to go to Play.com. They have Hermes, Nudar, Amy, Clobberella and Mom all for a fiver!

Toynami shows new Futurama stuff at San Diego Comic Con!

First off: Wow! Lrrr is back! How cool is that? I thought he got cancelled because of his size and wasn't expecting to see him anymore. But now here he stands and he's looking buff! Very cool of Toynami that they decided to follow thru on making Lrrr.

From what I can tell Lrrr and Morbo are part of a new wave of larger figures. It's also nice to get some variety in scale in the Futurama toy line. Only one new figure revealed but what a great one it is! (Can you tell I'm getting excited by this?) :P

Talking Bender looks nice and the plushies are cute but they're not for me.

Perhaps Lrr's size indicates he will be the lone figure in series 10 and that Morbo will be split into only 3 parts.  If not, and there is a second series 10 figure on the way, that would be amazing.

ps. he looks awesome

Plush bender looks like a snowman crossed with a guy in one of those bomb suits from the hurt locker... and plush zoidberg looks like a south park character.

I'm glad they take into account actual character size.  It bothers me that the Lrr KidRobot figure is actually smaller than most of the others.

Something I just noticed. Lrrr seems to be articulated at the wrists only. I wish they at least give him posable arms. And a laser gun for that matter!

Woo-hoo, Lrrr looks awesome!

I was already impressed with the size of Morbo, but Lrrr takes it up another notch.

Have to say I'm totally confused though about how Lrrr fits in with the other figures (part of the Morbo series, standalone, etc), but who cares, just can't wait to get my hands on him, as well as Morbo, URL and Obsolete Bender (and any others Toynami cares to produce!).

As for the other stuff, what's the deal on Talking Bender, what size is he? Could be cool enough, though I'll probably pass on him.

As for the plushies, one word - awful. Well, the Zoidberg one isn't too bad, but the Bender one is a mess - looks like he's flattened out wide roadkill. That said, even if these were well done, I wouldn't buy them as not into stuffed animals anymore, but that's just me.

Anyway, loving the Lrrr and the rest of the figure line, please keep 'em coming Toynami!

I was going to buy the Nibbler Plushie but Zoidberg and Bender are so bad I dont want to encourage them to make such utter crap, I really wanted a tickle me bender after seeing the movies, HEY TOYNAMI, LISTEN UP!

part one
WATCH THE MOVIE!
part two
MAKE THE PLUSHIE LOOK LIKE THE ONE IN THE MOVIE!
part three
PROFIT!

talking bender? maybe - i mean the bender figure is what weve been all waiting for! cant believe there hasnt been a bender before!

Lrrr! Awesome. His tag, the one next to Morbo, indicates both of them are series 10. Morbo was promoted as a build a figure previously, perhaps they changed their mind so they could use even equally big boxes for series 10's characters. This would mean a secret buildable, or no buildable. Still not going for the plushies.

Lrrr!!! Awesome.
I dunno about the big Bender with Sound (apparently)...

I have to say Toynami needs to remake the Bender plushie.. like this one made by a fan!.. and if it doesn't have sound.. then is really really lame.

I think that series 10 will just be Lrr, since he's so big, and morbo will be built with pieces from Lrr, Downgraded Bender, and URL.  Though I am definitely hoping for a 4th to round out series 10... just seems like yesterday would've been the day to announce it.
