I've got the DVDs!!! May I say that I am amased at how superb the picture quality is!!! Absolutely astounding and the sound quality is pretty damn good too! I've only watched the first two episodes so far but will watch two more tonight.

The packaging is really cool too, one thing I don't understand is why Roberto is on disc three, when to my knowledge he doesn't appear until the third season?

I am so happy, I noticed that Tweek said that he got an advert saying that season 2 would be released soon, I didn't get this with my DVDs. I know Tweek bought the videos but I thought the advert would be in the DVDs too? There was an advert for "The Simpsons Season Two" due out in May, also "The Simpsons Backstage Pass" due out in June.

Anyway, I feel so good!!!

Damn! The box set done sold the **** out, dun! In mcr anyway, I got the last one from HMV after work. The deleted scenes, as always, were deleted for a reason.

Quality set though, and the packaging is better than I'd hoped (although the sleeve's kind of a ball-ache).

Also picked up Taxi 2  :D

::sigh::

I've just finished watching disc one (except for the commentrys), it's so good watching Futurama without having adverts in the middle. Also they are uncut, which for me is a big bonus.

If you have this, I suggest you check out the animatic. Quite a bit changed between it and the final version, and there's quite a few good jokes that didn't make it.

After walking through the wind and rain for over an hour (i walked down to Virgin but stupidly forgot my cash card so had to go all the way home again to get it, and go back to the shop), i finally got myself the DVDs (for the bargainly sum of £31.49).

I hardly slept all night 'cos i wanted to watch everything on the DVDs. Suffice to say, there is too much to watch in one night.

It was pretty cool watching them all in order, Sky One seems to show episodes in some crazy random formation here. It's good to see all the characters gradualy introduced. Plus, there were a couple of episodes i hadn't seen before which meant the DVDs were even more enjoyable.

There was a little Ad card inside the box set too, which says The Simpsons Season 2 DVD is out in May 2002 (in the UK anyway). I'll probably still be watching Futurama 'till then anyway.

MPEGs and DivX?   I wonder why anybody would feel the need to compare two seemingly unrelated topics as officially released Futurama DVDs with compression formats suited to posting video files on the Internet?  What does MPEG and DivX have to do with Futurama? The link between the two escapes me :-)

Haha, so sexy. I really hate not having the DVDs. All the cool stuff will be spoiled for me by the time they finally get released in the US.

Got them since last Friday. It took me a week to get them, which was fairly long considering they only had to be sent from the UK to Belgium. Funny, you stay home until the hour the mailman drops by, every day, without success, and the very day you can't be present - there they are! BTW thanks to my friendly neighbour to receive the package for me (and not opening it!)

I remember Monday the 28th, I rushed home from work faster than ever before, and no DVD set.  :( Next day, just as fast, no set. Wednesday, a more normal pace, no set. What's the matter, they sent an email friday, telling me it shipped that morning. Thursday, I thought: screw it, it'll come, when it comes. So I went shopping, and took wasted a couple of hours, and BAM the set waited for me. That was 6 days, just to cross the North Sea, but it was worth the wait.  :D

In 10 years of living in Europe, only 2 things have made it worthwhile, the most important of these two being the availability of the Futuruma DVD set.

Why was first released here and not in the USA? And why does fox.com have such limited Futurama info., whereas fox.de has much more?   Weird.

Anyway the DVD's are highly addictive!

DVD region coding is the vilest thing Mankind has conceived of since Indy Dedos( http://www.bad-candy.com/ ). Brits get to see "Futurama" and undubbed Godzilla movies on DVD, we Yanks have to bloody rot. Cor! Wankers.

Go region-free and you can watch them, there's cheap r-f standalone players and a lot of DVD-ROM drives can be flashed to RPC-1.
