Here's the synopsis for 'Futurama Comics #23' due for release in January 2006, courtesy of Forbidden Planet International:

Futurama Comics #23
by Boothby & Delaney

A space anomaly and some reckless piloting by Bender bring about the reappearance of one of Planet Express’ earliest crew ? once presumed dead. But when the old crew turns out to be far superior to the current crew, one of them has to go! However, the now stellar and once interstellarly lost crew may not be all they seem to be!

Man, that's a plot I want to see as an episode! Now if only it was still on the air... anyways, like JDB said, I'm hoping there's decent artwork in it as well...

I just saw it in the Previews book, and the and in there its got the cover for this one. It's a close up of Benders face and it has a black background. Now, I don't know if this is the final artwork but I like it!

Sounds really good. I hope Delaney does as good as he did in the latest issue #21. Probably the best I've seen him draw in my oppinion.

Maybe we'll learn more about the old PE Crew in this issue.  Let's face it, we didn't know much about them in that episode The Sting.  As good of an episode it was.

So far the only old crew member who survived was Captain Murky.

I dunno. Hope it is, because if it doesn't, I'll have made a 30 minute trip to my nearest mall for nothing. I've got a comic book store in the city next to ours, only ten minutes from my town to that one, (traffic pending and red lights) but they don't carry futurama comics. I mean, they carry every other comic in the universe, except that, and I'm pretty sure no Simpsons either. In the end, I've gotta take a tip through happy  road-constructionville for a while and trek all over the mall looking through stores my mom drags me into, then go to the DNA Comics store, and they always have it.They usually have back issues too, in case I have to go in March or whenever.

Hope you could find the comics, Zoidy.  The Futurama ones just keep getting better and better.  Oh, and does anyone have any scans of issues #23, yet?

Well, I don't have a scan of the issue, but I can alway give you a preview for it... andOh your God it's a previewThis is from Simpsons comic #113. It had the free poster from Xmas, so I doubt this is correct. I love the saying, and I want the issue, so my behind is saved from getting bent  :D

The art was good, the story was decent, the lines were funny, however there was a major continuity error and the way they characterized Leela's parents kinda pissed me off.

Picked up my copy yesterday.  A good story.  I liked the "non-person" angle.

Anyone else notice that Leela shakes hands with the hologram captian at the begining?

Also, when Mender realised that his ship was getting pulled into the votex couldn't he just teleport into the other PE ship like He did at the start?

I read it late at night so i think i got those details right. A good read none the less! It has to be said that Leela looked really curvy on the last page when she yawned! Haha. A good read but it was pity about all those ads and the lack of a after section.

Hey, you're right. She did shake hands!
Also, those ads in the comics now are REALLY annoying.

I just got my copy today!  Excellent story!  I liked the hologramed Planet Express crew, and I liked the "non-person" t-shirts and the 'fandom zone'!  Super cool!

For those who haven't got this issue yet, Get it!
