Courtesy of Forbidden Planet International here's the description for 'Futurama Comics #22' due for release this November:

Futurama Comics #22
by Boothby & Kazaleh
Bender becomes the 31st century’s newest diet guru, and before long President Nixon appoints him czar of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness. But too much power in the wrong robots hands is a dangerous thing, and the physically tired and huddled masses of New New York City are soon yearning to be free of Bender’s tyrannical exercise
regimen.

Bender as a fitness guru!  Sounds awesome!  First we have to get issue #21!  That's not even out yet!

Sounds like it has the potential to be one of the better issues of Futurama Comics.

My email is on my sketch group's web site.  www.urbanimprov.ca

Please don't send any ideas for issues though, or too many "You suck" letters.

Ian, could you give a description of the cover or is it too early to reveal anything yet?

I'd like to know what the cover of it looks like myself.  Since issue #21 has been delayed a little, does this mean issue #22 won't be out until next year?

Or will the Crossover TPB be released later than when stated, (I believe) Jan. '06

I think I've asked this elsewhere, but have never gotten an answer (usually the responses to most of my questions). Has the Chili Chili Bang Bang Issue appeared yet in the Simpsons Comics? If so what issue number?

So will issue #22 be released in Dec '05 or Jan '06?   Oh, and BTW, did anyone notice the Robot Mafia made a brief appearence in issue #21?

I wonder if Bender will be like a John Basedow or a Billy Blanks type of fitness guru?

Futurama #22 is scheduled for a November release, which probably means November 30.  However, since issues 20 & 21 were both delayed two weeks this year, I would expect to see issue #22 released around Dec. 14.  Just my best guess.

The artwork wasn't that great. They were off model a lot. Some continuity issues. Some of the gags were good though.

I don't know, uh... C+?

It's a pretty good issue. The story is really Bender being as much of an evil unlikable character as possible, but that's why he's so lovable. Quite a funny issue but let down by some terrible art, really quite painfully off...

Read it. I think Ian Boothby really gets Bender. Great Stuff. The art looked awfully rushed like Kazaleh didn't have alot of time to draw it or something. Some good layout ideas but  definately off as mentioned by Otis & JDB. The Boothby gags were very funny as usual.

I got my issue #22 today!  I was surprised to find it!  The funniest parts were Bender going on a power-trip by forcing everyone in New New York to diet and work in a sweatshop, Hermes eating Fry's clothes whenever he's late for work, Fry getting covered in grease while he was cleaning the tubes and Bender shoving him and Fry sliding backwards!

The best part was when Bender put a floppy disk in him and he saw himself in a video game! That's when he realized how corrupt he was!  It was cool to see Richard Nixon and Spiro Angew's body, too! Hilarious story!  I loved it!  Better than issue #21!  Although I've always thought Bender's cooking would make people gain weight, not lose it!  Hope to see more funny comic stories soon!  Futurama rocks!

The comic series is pretty impressive because of the work and quality put into each issue.... same about the UK edition.
