I was wondering today wether the futurama box set will proabaly go up in price in the next few years as it has now been discontinued or if it would simply be adviasiable to place it on ebay now. I have put mine on ebay at the moment and they seem to be going for about £100 tops but Im considering ending the auction as it may be worth a fair amount more in the future. (I can imagine a boom in demand for them if futurama does come back to our screens).

I wouldn't image the DVD box set will be worth more than you paid for it for a very long time. It's not like the DVDs have been discontinued, after all. If someone wants the box they can just buy it, and there will probably be lots of copies in shops for a long time.

But sure, 50+ years away why not  :) Unless it comes back, in which case a box set of the first 4 seasons wouldn't be that amazing.

I'm sure there are some other threads about the complete box set but this one seemed so lonesome with just the one reply, so I'll post this here:

The complete set is being re-released (UK only, AFAIK) on 31st October.

I have noticed a few complete collection boxes go on ebay at triple price after being advertised as 'super rare'.

It's nice to see it's getting a re-release just before Xmas  :).

If you buy each season seperatley it comes to a total of about £120, to £140. (I don't know the Dollar conversion) But I have found all four of them for a much cheaper price:
season 1, season 2, season 3, and season 4. I think it all depends on the condition, how rare it is, and if Futurama does return to our screens.

as more Dvd futurama box sets are made they will decrease in value for like 10 years, then they might go up in value
