I have asked my parents for the 2005 calendar, Futurama-o-rama, Futurama Adventures, and just about any other Futurama merchandise they can get their hands on.

What is everyone else planning on getting for *insert holiday here*?

Just the King of the Hill Season 3 DVD. (I'd buy Futurama related stuff, but I can't find them anywhere. I don't even know where to look on the internet.)

just go to CGEF click on merchandise, and find links from there.

as for finding it in real life, can't help you there. since i rarely go shopping unless i already know some store will have what i want. it's not like i just hang out at the mall or something.

King of the Hill? You conservative hick.

If you want Futurama stuff, go on Ebay. It's got a suprisingly large selection on Futurama merchandise.

What's wrong with King of the Hill Nasty Pasty? It's a pretty good show.
Their selection sucks Zeep. I wanted to pay some clothing site to print a custom shirt, but I need legal authority from FOX, and I sent them an e-mail, and they haven't replied, and they probably never will.
The only thing that looks good is some Futurama Sheet music thing, but the link for detailed info is broken.

For X-Mas, I already got all four DVD volumes.  Thanks to the magic of eBay, I've just purchased the first series of die-cast figures, originally sold by RocketUSA.  Surprisingly, these are still in their original packaging.  Also got a new cell phone, a Motorola v220, which I've stuffed full of Futurama mp3 files and wallpapers.

A definate Futurama X-Mas this year.  The only thing left will be to stay huddled near my front door on X-Mas eve with some of my guns, ready to attack the robot Santa.   :D  J/K

I think I'm getting “Futurama - The Game” for Xmas, but I don't know for sure, since it was released over a year ago (I think). I'll just cross my fingers and hope, because I really want the so called “lost episode of Futurama”...

A Dell Pocket DJ? Meh. Get an iPod rather than an imitation.

And me: Well, although I don't know what I will get, what I really want is a PS2. I don't have one yet, I need a new dvd player badly, and in Japan they released a tiny version of it a while back. I can't go wrong!

On a lesser note, a PSP and a cell phone. The PSP is awesomely cool, while the DS, which I've seen in a store, is kind of big and clunky. I like the idea of a movie player as well, and I can't wait to try out UMD's (Universal Media Discs). Also, I don't have a cell phone yet, so I really need to pick one up. Perferably one with a TV tuner (Sorry, I love to brag about the cool things us  people in Japan get.  ;))I also discovered that you can go to PEEL on one, which adds a few points for the phone.

good lord, it's like the anti-me!

the Dell DJ is cheaper with the same storage space, (the normal models at least, maybe not the pocket...) and has better battery life, which is a big factor for me, since i travel quite a bit.

and the tiny PS2? i dont know much about it, but what i do know:
  • It's thinner
  • It has no hard drive

so it looks nicer and is worse technically. i may be wrong, though.

and the PSP? Don't even get me started. I  have a DS, and it's not clunky. you have to remember, it doesn't matter how big it is, as long as you can fit it in your pocket. when you're USING it, the bigger the better. (as long as it's still light enough). The PSP and the DS are about the same size when the DS is folded, except the PSP is longer. also, the folding protects the screens.

and remember this: the PSP doesn't come out in the US until, like march '05. so you've got a better chance of getting a PS2. and if you get a PSP, you're basically just getting a portable PS2 with worse graphics, a smaller screen, and about 2 hours average battery life.

Get a DS. And a Gamecube. You'd be much better off.

yeah, futurama the game is the ONLY reason i would ever want a PS2 or Xbox. i'm a nintendo fanboy at heart.

EDIT:
I just thought i should mention, you know why PS2 has the highest sales of the 3 consoles?
someone who worked closely with sony for a number of years accused sony of PURPOSEFULLY making low quality products so that many people have to buy 2 or more playstations. as well as their computers, walkmans, etc.

i'll try to find the link.

EDIT2:
here's the link

here's a quote from the article:

Quote
Shinji Mikami, producer of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry, strongly criticized Sony and Square in a recent radio interview in Japan. Mikami accused Sony of purposely designing their consoles to break easily so that gamers will have to buy a replacement. He also said that Sony's high sales figures are helped by the fact that many gamers, himself included, have had to buy a second PlayStation and PlayStation 2.

From there, Mikami went on to accuse Sony of doing the same thing with their line of PCs, Walkmans, and cell phones. He asked why no one has complained about this and said that it was almost like cheating and committing a crime. The radio DJ tried to interrupt Mikami and shift the conversation to another topic, but when Mikami was asked if he thought Sony's customers are foolish, he replied, "Yes."

Haha, so that's why, it all makes sense now! I've never owned a Sony console, and don't plan to either. Although I've heard plenty of stories, some first hand of the PS2 going wrong, and how it's DVD player is a pile of shit...

Anyway, as for Futurama stuff this Xmas, I doubt I'll be getting any. It's simply because I have everything Futurama related which I want, and is currently out already. Aside from the video game, which I can't get because it's only released on inferior consoles. The next piece of Futurama merchandise I'll be getting will probably be the Futurama/Simpsons Crossover Comics part II.

As for other stuff this Xmas, I might be getting the Looney Tunes Gold Collection on DVD, they're classics after all, and apparently done up real good. And I'll probably get some other stuff and junk, dunno what yet...

yeah, the DVD player does suck.

what bugs me the most, is this:
my neighbor had a gamecube, and while they wre on vacation, it and some other stuff was stolen.

his parents decided to get him a PS2. guess what the deciding factor was?

they needed a DVD player.

I think I'll buy the Futurama game for X-Box, after seeing that.  I don't even own an X-Box, but I want to make sure I have the game, before I go and pay more for a console.  Plus, even if it'll be a while til I get the console, it's good for my growing Futurama collection.

EDIT:
My Futurama X-Mas was amplified even more.  In addition to the DVDs and the figured mentioned before, and I guess the phone because of the Futurama stuff on it, I got my hands on the two Futurama comic book compilations, and the game for X-Box.

The Futurama Christmas ornaments that I paid $14.95 for three years ago, are now $29.95 at my local comic book shop.
It's a three pack of resin figures with Leela, Fry and Bender in Xmas outfits.
