Also remember that the shipping list for next week (week of May 25) is only a partial list and the final list is released on Monday (May 23). While Bongo is usually really good about getting their books out when they say they will which leads me to believe it will be delayed but there is still a slight chance it will come out next week as hoped.

It never came, but will it be out next week instead? Or is nothing known still?...

Well.. it doesn't look like May has become the month for this issue, my best guest now is mid-june and early july 2005. The issue 21 in August/September 2005.*

*Note: I'm guessing.... Not sure nor do i have any sources to prove I'm correct.

Well, it wasn't released on the 25th, and it isn't on the list for June 2nd either.  In the past, issues have sometimes been delayed for a few weeks, but never more than one month.

This comic better be worth the wait, we haven't had a proper stand alone Futurama Comic since September which is way over half a year ago!...

If Ian Boothby is reading this, what's going on with #20?

According to Diamond Comics, Futurama #20 is scheduled for release on June 8.

Oh ye of little faith, why did you doubt?

Let's hope the date doesn't get pushed back again.....

I just realised, both US#20 and UK#20 are being released within a week of each other! Although of course UK#21 will be out a long time before US#21.....  :(

There were meant to be 4 US Futurama stand-alone Comics this year, but I kinda don't see how they're gonna fit all those in now...

As long as I end up getting the comic within a month of when it was supposed to release, I am a happy man.  :) I haven't seen or read any new Futurama stuff for a long while so this better be worth the wait.

Yea, I would like to know if anybody picked this up today or not.  From what I have heard it actually might be delayed a couple of weeks still.  I may stop at the local comic book shop on the way home just to check but that store does not carry it anymore I think.  At least the last couple of regular issues.

Unfortunately Swindon doesn't have any Comic book stores, my nearest is 40 miles away in Bristol. Sometimes I'm lucky enough with timing that I either happen to be in Bristol when a new Comic is released, or sometimes I'm in Birmingham. Not this time though...

I phoned up Forbidden Planet Bristol earlier today and asked if they had it in. He said he did, but it just so happens that Futurama Comics #20 UK edition is also out at the moment (because they're cut in half and released monthly they've already got to Issue #20, although it's actually US Issue #15), so he might have got confused with that. I did state I was after the US edition, so if he's right then it's out now, it just depends wether he got confused really, so we don't really know for certain unfortunately...

I don't know why, but Forbidden Planet shops won't take your credit card details over the phone and post them to you. I had to look on the Forbidden Planet website, and it was listed, but oddly enough it had the 9th (which is tomorrow) as the release date. I've ordered it from them, so hopefully it'll be shipping snoon. If not I guess we'll know why...

I got it. As with Verrone's issue that could be read seven different ways, this one also uses the comic format creatively. First, Bender rips a hole in the page itself and climbs through it, ending up at Bongo's studios. I won't go into detail about what the other characters do to fix the problem, but I can try to explain it if anyone doesn't understand it. This issue might not be the funniest one ever, but it's still worth reading.

I think so....  I think it's a little bit stupid but that's me...

I like the cover for the 21st issue of Futurama comics for the UK. It might be from the 2006 calender however... don't know as of yet but still, it's brilliant piece of artwork. It the P.E. Crew as their "X-men" spoof from an earlier issue.

Mine arrived today!...

It's a good issue, Bender was in one of those unlikable rather than lovable mindsets though. He reminded me of how he was in 'A Pharaoh To Remember', but I guess it was necessary for the plot, and I like that side of him sometimes. What I really dug in this issue was the originality of Bender ripping the page and how it played an important role in the comic. It made for an interesting story, even if the Bongo Comic office did seem a bit forced...

It wasn't the funniest issue, but everyone was in character, and there were still a few laughs. The character artwork was often quite off, especially Amy. However the backgrounds were very good. Obviously this artist is better at backgrounds than characters. Also it's always great seeing Lrrr!...

I found this issue was weird. It had a good storyline and I think Bender was right on character. The only thing that was crappy was the artwork. Like what Otis said, Bender ripping through the comic was good. I really like the cover as well.

I just got mine yesterday and after I read it, I had mixed thoughts. The artwork definately could have been better. I liked the story, but I found parts confusing. I also liked seeing the Bongo offices and the Omicronians. There were a few inside gags that made it well worth it, one of them being when you actually fold the pages then you will see what makes Fry throw up the hankey thing. I'll stick with everyone else and give it
4/5.

On a side note the Santa/Easter Bunny robot scene from 2004 is going to be part of an upcoming issue.

So, does the story have anything to do with Bender's appearance in Simpsons Comics #99 and #100?

This is the comic issue that I really want to get because obviously of my favourite character Bender. maybe it will be out in the comic shop  that I go in town.

No. I thought that was more of a reference to the Futurama/Simpsons Crossovers.

I didn't have any luck finding it at crappy Borders either.  Usually they have it, but not this time.  I went into this dumpy comic book shop today looking for it and all they had was #15.  The only place I know will probably have it has retarded hours (basically they're open while I'm at work and that's it) which means I probably won't get there anytime soon.  You're not the only one having trouble finding the latest issue.   :(

I finally got issue #20!  It's an awesome story!  I loved how Bender went into the Bongo Comics company and Lrrr and his wife went to FOX to pitch ideas for TV Shows!

It was funny when Leela sees Bender strangling a Starbucks employee!  I liked how Bender sang Queen songs and when he said, "Say hello to my little bend!" a'la Scarface!  Awesome issue!  I hope everyone here who doesn't have it yet gets issue #20.  Until issue #21!

Got mine yesterday, read it, then forgot it at my cousins house (god damnit!). I'll be getting it back by Monday... It was a good issue though, cool storyline, what with the characters being aware they are in a comic book. I wonder if anyone actually did fold up pages 7 through 21.... I did sorta just to understand how it worked, but I didn't fold tight, I'm not that stupid  :p.
