and no, I am not talking about the girl getting the autograph on "A Leela Of Her Own".

I had a bid on this, and someone beat me by 37 cents. Bummer.....

Yeah, I would love to have one of those too. Would be neat, since they usually contain deleted materiel, etc.

That's really unlucky, I guess there's always more scripts though...

My god, $25 for the original script!

Far too little, I would have happily parted with $100 for such a great piece of futurama history.

EDIT: Oh, its a copy, never mind, it would still be worth it for all the uncut script and signatures

From the eBay page:
In superb condition from the massive TV hit FUTURAMA, you are bidding on a Copy of the Signed Script, Dated August 26, 1998

It's not original.

Still, just to have it to compare to the final cut would be sweet, not to mention having it autographed by the voiceovers and MG himself  :)

BTW, look what I won the bidding on for $0.01??? (the seller didn't put in a minimum starting bid)

Well, postage for that item is US$34.99.

I often buy cds for AU$0.01 off a seller on ebay, with postage at $5, which is about $2 more than it needs to be. Still $5 is a cheap cd.

The only Futurama item I've bought off Ebay is the slurm can with playing cards for about AU$18... and when I got it it had a slight dent in it.  :( Still good though.

I wanted to get the backlit sign with Bender holding up a Bart Simpson doll.  I just cant justify spendin $35 or so shipping.  If it wasn't for that, I'd definately go for it. <mutter>There was another guy on Ebay selling a horde of these..Haven't seen him in a while, I wonder where he went???</mutters>

That what sucks at eBay, it's only in the US... Whatever I buy there or on Amazon I have to add 40$ or so just for the shipment... and there is no eBay equivalent in Israel. They tried. They failed.

There is eBay in France. I find it quite efficient; to sell of items we don't want instead of let them stay in the house and die.

I like how the seller of that item stole some of germanfryfan's animated characters and plastered them all over the product page...

Hmmm... thanks for pointing that out I'm definately going to have start looking at ebay.com in the future. Fakes are a fact of life on Ebay though you wouldn't believe the number of scams I've had to avoid.

Is there ever any clear indicator of a fake?

I know when I bought my autographed Bender pic, it came with a certificate of authenticity.  Although I suppose someone could have just faked that one too if they really wanted.

To be honest I'd probably pay that for 12 genuine Futurama scripts, I'd love them forever. But it all looks a little pristine to me, it's easy to make up some covers with the pictures and logos and print them to coloured paper and pad them out a bit. I'll just tell myself they're fakes so I don't feel stupid for missing out on them!

Not really. Buying from a reputable dealer who's established a very good feedback reputation for selling genuine items of this type is about the only chance you have on Ebay. Other than that it's a case of Buyer Beware.

Use your head, read the description carefully and don't just assume it's genuine. Read the FB other buyers have left and don't be afraid to email the seller before you bid. Ask if it's a genuine original or a copy. If they don't reply, don't bid. If they don't give you a straight answer, don't bid.

Thats about all you gaurantee you have, and it's not a lot.

I have discovered that selling items like mobile phones, CDs, sun glasses have been very easy, always lots of people lining up to buy them.

However if trying to sell clothing items, not only not many people want them, the value of the product drop so much.
