Originally posted by KAH: I'm so excited, how much again? His cape looks a little long though. Is there a possibility of shortening it a bit? I haven't really priced out how much it cost to make him so I'm not too sure right yet. He only used about a 100 gram ball of black, small amount of white and about a 50 gram ball of light yellow and a small amount of the darker yellow his feet. The cape and diaper are both made out of felt so it wouldn't be anything at all to shorten up his cape. Yesterday I managed to finished up one arm so give me about a couple days to finish up the second arm and sew it on. I'll upload a pic as soon as I'm done. Unfortunately I doubt that I'll be able to do more up for X-Mas gift just because I've still got a horde of non-Futurama stuffies to finish. That and parcels have to be in the mail in the next couple of days in order to reach its destination before X-Mas. After the Christmas crochet madness, I can do up some more to sell. I'll keep you guys and gals informed of new developments (Man that made it sound as if I'm smart!)

Zoidberg I sold for $40 CAD plus Shipping. (I don't charge a 'handling' fee because I can snatch old boxes from work and it takes me 3 seconds to walk down the mall to the post office and mail it!) Once the Christmas plushie making rush is over, I can work on some more. I still want to finish Bender up at some point in time and then try and concieve a pattern for Fry and Leela. I think out of the two, Leela is going to be the hardest. I've never made a female plushie anything before so it'll be interesting. Speaking of the next cast members to Plushify, how would you folks like to see Fry and Leela done up? I was thinking of crocheting them almost naked (Fry in his underpants, Leela in underwear and a bra) and then make clothes for them similar in fashion to Zoidberg. The other things that's got me wondering is how to go about Leela's hair. I'd like to have her ponytail as pieces of yarn so it'll be similar to a Cabbage Patch Kid's hair but I'm not sure how to go about making her bangs and such? Just crochet it as per normal and then have the ponytail made out of yarn just tied up? I'll have to think about it. Incidently, during this crocheting experience, I've tried to invent a little gizmo to help me crochet faster. It's still in it's testing phase but hopefully I can get it working half decently and then I can crochet my little brains out! Usually it'll take me a few weeks or a month to do up a plushie (depending, Zoidy took longer becaue of sewing the clothes) and if I've got several people looking to purchase stuffies, I don't want everyone to have to wait forever for them.

<Zoidy>Alright, alright, I'm coming *sigh*</Zoidy> It took a little while but I finally got off my lazy ass and took a pic of Nibbler. And this picture I took after I came out from the computer room. Apparently my Jack Russell was going to snuggle with him and was quite intrigued by Nibbler. Not really sure who is going to try and eat who first! I just kept thinking "Watch out Tazie, Nibbler loves puppies." he he he

Oh... my ..ggggoooness. Those are soo coool. You got real creativity there. I bet you can make some nice slippers with characters heads on those and maybe some character pillow covers. Now that would be really nice. I know of some places you can down load paper models of characters, I think they also had some Futurama characters too but that particular site as gone but at least you can make these characters from this other site. http://homepage3.nifty.com/hamanaga/ThumbLinkC/Thumb66.

Bender-is-Great, Zoidy and Nibbler look so "Clool!", as Amy might say... How about Bender, Leela, or Fry next? (BTW, I asked a friend that makes Trek plushie dolls to make me a Bender one - will post when she has him done)

Stupid question, do you just sew them up or do you do make some pencle sketches of your ideas first?

Oh yeah, I'm still making them! I've got a bunch of people on the list right now so I'm trying to finish some of those first. I've been able to refine the Bender plushie but unfortunately his body is taking forever so that's why I haven't posted any pics yet. I think I've figured out how to go about the Leela plushie but I want to get caught up on the others that people are going to buy. I'll keep everyone updated, once I actually get some more stuff done! I haven't forgotten about the other crew members! maybe I should just pull a Farnsworth and have myself cloned or something in order to keep up. The clone can go out and work and I can stay at home and crochet! LOL
