I guess I should announce releases before they happen, but oh well. Posted the last chapter of my fanscript "Run, Leela, Run!" this week; as some of you might have missed it the first time, I'll also plug my first fanscript, "Fifteen Minutes of Fry," which is posted in the same thread.

Smitty: (brandishes his lightstick menacingly) We'll use force if we have to.

Old Woman: But I was just walking to the store to pick up my pills.

Smitty: A drug user, eh? You're going to have to come with us.

Old Woman: What? No, I need my pills. I have a heart condition

Smitty: You junkies make me sick.

I've started brainstorming my next story. In the upcoming year you can expect at least two more scripts, including an "Anthology of Interest A" (1GOP03) (guaranteed to contain 33% more shippiness than my regular scripts) and an as-yet-untitled Bender story (1GOP04)

Haven't been working on more futurama scripts lately; I'm feeling short on inspiration, when I try nothing is coming out well. As a result I'm putting them aside for a while and working on an original story. Not a fanscript, so it's not in my thread here. Instead it's in off-topic, in ""For the writers out there...". Sci-fi comedy at it's finest, check it out!

well I've written 23 A4 pages of my new shippy fan fic, part 3 of my saga

one thing's certain though, it's going to  be big! I have 2 good plot lines twisting into it somehow, along woth a few minor sub stories

It mainly focuses though on Fry, Leela and Bender

Well, like mookie, I've now reached a stumbling block on my 'Parallel Universe Part II' bit. I don't measure in pages, but I can tell you that I'm stuck right at the part where the Omicronians come in. But, anyway, I'm not completely out of creative juices, so I'm working on another fic. The idea for it just sort of came to me.

   

Excerpt from 'Life is but a Dream':

   Leela awoke suddenly, at three in the morning, sweating. She glanced around herself nervously. Her breathing was deep and heavy, and her body was tensed in a position of awkward surprise. She endeavored to recall the dream. Once again, as she had every other night this week, she failed. She anxiously glanced around her again. Surely it was nothing to worry about, she thought. She rolled over and went back to sleep.

   Fry awoke suddenly, two hours later, sweating. He glanced around him with a panicked look on his face. Gradually he calmed down. It was just a dream, he thought. A scary dream, it must have been, but just a dream nonetheless. The fact that it had been occurring repeatedly for the last week seemed insignificant to him. It was nothing important. He rolled over and went back to sleep.

   “Stupid alarm!”

You can post short excerpts and previews and spoilers here, but for an entire part (anything larger than an introduction), I personally would suggest posting it in your personal fanfic thread. If you don't have your own thread yet, feel free to create it.

Here's a question.  How come when you send fanfics on PEEL in the fanfic section, it doesn't get submitted?

Why would it?  Fanfiction on TFM forums isn't automatically submitted; people have to e-mail their stories separately.  Otherwise, you're forcing the site creators/moderators to go through pages upon pages of posts to grab story segments among the dozens, even hundreds of comments, which they then have to put together and reformat for the site.  It's too much work.

Also, not everyone who posts a story in a forum automatically wants it uploaded to the site anyway.  Isn't Venus, for instance, using PEEL to figure out where to "fine tune" her story before she sends it in?

Hey all,

I am thinking of making my fanfic debut soon. I have finished very little, but school starts soon, so I have been trying to push myself to finish the first draft before I get too busy. The problem is I only do two pages a day before I go all ADD and throw shit at cars, so I figured maybe giving a release date for it would motivate me to write this . . . , and not throw shit at cars. Given how busy I will be I will be generous and give my self until October 2nd, since I know I will only get in a few manhours on this.

WORKING TITLE: Badvertising (a.k.a. Soda Pop Culture)
RELEASE DATE: Oct. 2nd, 2006
PLOT DESCRIPTION:

In this adventure, after the Planet Express Crew ends up heroicly saving Earth, they are sponsered by Slurm, boosting their popularity and sales. But good turns to bad when Slurm's rival soda company, Jammin' Soda, makes a deal with the postal service, which turns into an advertising smear campaign. It is an exciting look into the world of advertising(I struggle to type that), and hopefully I will put my lazyness behind me to finish this script.

EXCERPT(Contains Spoilers):

EXT. SPACE, OUR SOLAR SYSTEM - SPACE LIGHTING

[All is calm out in space until it is slowly revealed there is a battle of epic proportions going on. Leading the charge against the alien force, The Nimbus, and among the fleet, Planet Express Ship. Hundreds of ships on both sides of the of the battle are being destroyed. A big, floating, electric sign says, “TONIGHT: Huge Space Battle, AFTERWARDS: Mandatory clean up.]

INT. PLANET EXPRESS SHIP - RED “COMBAT” LIGHT

[LEELA is piloting the ship, while BENDER and FRY sit at their respective sides of the ship, working away at the control panels.]

FRY: Captain, we’re being hailed. It’s Zapp Branigan.

LEELA: (Sighs) Send it through.

[A small monitor displays ZAPP’s face. He is licking his lips.]

BRANIGAN: Hello, Leela.

[ZAPP winks at LEELA.]

LEELA(Dismade): What is it?

BRANIGAN: We have a new battle plan. All forces are going to charge the central ventilation shaft like a lovemaster penetrating his love slave. Transmission out.

LEELA: Why does he have to use a sexual metaphor for all his battle plans? Well, you heard what the oaf said.

BENDER: But captain, our scanners show it is the most heavily guarded part of the ship.

EXT. SPACE, ALIEN MOTHERSHIP

[Many of the ships charging the central ventilation shaft are obliterated within seconds of coming close to it.]

INT. PLANET EXPRESS SHIP - RED “COMBAT” LIGHT

LEELA: Well, this is stupid.

[LEELA maneuvers the ship away from the central ventilation shaft, and to the left of the alienship mothership, where she faces a metal plate on the side of th ship that reads, “UNDER CONSTRUCTION.” They blast away the plate, and enter the mothership at full speed.]

INT. ALIEN MOTHERSHIP - LIGHT

ALIEN #1: Damn, they found our one weakness.

ALIEN #2: I told you we should have used stronger and more discrete materials.

ALIEN #1: Well, I didn’t see you offering to take the cost out of your paycheck.

I hope you enjoyed it, and this is far from the best part of the script, just it being at the beginning and all made it a very understandable excerpt. Hopefully, I can complete it by the deadline.

BENDER and FRY are on the couch watching an ape fight on TV, LEELA is sitting on the floor leant against FRY’S knees reading a book entitled ‘The Idiot’s Guide to Understanding Idiots.’

TV (VO): … And Xanfoid has Fluffy pinned down! Oh wait, Fluffy breaks free and – ouch! That’s got to hurt…

Door opens and in comes the professor

PROF: Good news everyone!

BENDER: Oh dear God no…

PROF: You’re off on a dangerous mission to deliver this package to the planet of Fwee. A planet where joy and happiness can be bought in a bottle. Oh my yes, a wonderful place it must be.

LEELA: Uh, Professor, how is this mission dangerous?

PROF: Hwa? Dangerous? Oh my no, it’s not dangerous. Not with the Fairies and elves and the occasional hobbit.’

FRY: Fairies?! Cool! Are there elves too?

BENDER: And Leprechauns? With… you know… lots of gold?

PROF: Leprechauns? Elves? Those things don’t exist! What do you take me for? Some kind of old insane crackpot senile fool?

LEELA: Well actually…

PROF: Shutup! I’m the one talking here! Now be careful you imbeciles, this mission is very dangerous, you will battle dragons and witches and atomic supermen! Your destiny awaits, off you go!

You heard the proffesor! Off you go!

I love deadlines.  I remember giving myself a September 2005 deadline to write "Zapp Brannigan and the Raiders of the Plot Arc."  I'm planning on buying a cake to mark the anniversary.

The good news is that Part Six is well underway.  I won't say too much, except that it picks up on a lot of the loose threads left after Parts Three and Four, and it has one hell of an explosive beginning.

Haha, well i won't be meeting it. I haven't worked on my script since I posted that deadline practically. I am gonna now set the date for Oct. 15th, and hope that I have time to do some major work next weekend(it's a three day one. Hooray!)

Woah, that's a lot of acronyms... The Leela Zone - I did send a copy of the fanfic to one of the administrators there but I haven't heard anything back. They didn't respond last time I sent fan art to them either, so I dunno...

Well low-and-behold, I've yet again struck up another fan fiction idea. The difference, I have no great intention in fulfilling to write it for the moment. It's just an idea.

Title? I don't know. But the premise is this: the crew is sent out on a mission yet again but gets trapped in a freak time tearing accident. Meanwhile on Earth, a race of aliens has begun to immigrate all over the world, creating major economic and medical problems. Bender, Fry, and Leela get out of the time tear they've been stuck in, realizing their ship is damaged and they can't finish the mission. As it turns out the planet they were going to doesn't even exist anymore. When they return to earth, they are shocked to find that 20 years have past. The professor is now a brain in a jar, Amy is a widower with a vengence, Hermes is old, and Zoidberg hasn't aged. Neither has Fry, Leela, and Bender. But because of the alien invasion, the world is a much more corrupted and horrible place, with fewer inhabitants. Fry and Leela meet two kids, a teenage girl with a patch over her eye named Ren (no refrence to Ren and Stempy), and her brother, a younger boy named Evan. Here's the twist..........

As it turns out the future Fry, Leela, and Bender are all dead. So yadda-yadda stuff happens that I really don't know about and the world is saved the end. Here's just one line in my head that I'd like to post.

Leela noted that behind Ren's violet-red hair, was a thick black patch covering her right eye. She found it funny how her own daughter would have one eye like her.
Leela asked, "Bender poke it out with a fork?"
Ren shook her head, "No, my eye is defected. It's small, greenish, mutanty, because I'm half mutant."
Leela gasped awkwardly, "So you're a mutant too? Wow I didn't think that gene of mine would really pass on."
"Well it did and I am." Ren replied, slightly frowning.
Leela sighed, "I'm sorry Ren. I understand how it's like growing up being an outcast because I was different than everything else."
Ren recognized that as her mother's voice. She smiled for a moment but shortly added, "And I didn't appreciate you making me dress up as a pirate for Halloween until I was 11 either."

Speaking of Halloween, I've started posting a story that happens on that fateful night.  First part is up, and I've set myself a deadline; the actual night of halloween! (dundundun) ... which is also, funnily enough, my birthday, so be nice 

Also after that, there is a fanscript that's taken me so long to do, but hopefully that will be alright.
The title's 'A Muscle Of Weight Proportion.' and it's somewhat similar to 'Parasites' but will hopefully have a happier ending.

More...? Of Course!  A gigantic triology is currently in the making, and I'm going to illustrate it as well... in fact, I've already posted a picture I will use somewhere in this forum. If you can guess, there's cookies up for grabs

Xanfor: Normally I would take this idea and work with it myself but I have other things going for me. I have other fanfictions that I'm doing and a few novel/chapter stories. I'll keep track of what you post. Probably won't have much to critque since the only thing that's solid in my mind is the plot outline. Have fun with it. I'd like this story to go into process but like I said, I don't have the time for it now. So I'm glad you liked it enough to use it. Thanks.
