It's been a long time since i read them. i think the powerpuff one wasn't god awful, but it wasn't exactly something i'd read again. As for the southpark one i don't think i actually made it all the way through it. I think i remember being put off by the way the two sets of characters came to be in the same place.

There's not a flaw on her anywhere. Hand her a stick and some chewing gum and she will save a spaceship from exploding. Sometimes she's an enhanced author insertion, but not always. Think Wesley Crusher from startrek.

I do think of Drew as being an Auther Insertion who has a convienent habit of saving the day. That's why i don't really read your stuff i gotta admit.

Only in Scream does Drew actually save everyone. In the other ones she helps save the day but isn't the actual hero.

And it's ok that you don't read my fics. I'm not the best and I'm sure you have a better taste than mine.

i remember in Fry identity she always knew where to go and who to talk to. Seemed rather convienent. And not just the hero thing identifies her as an author insurtion. An author insurtion is sometimes a way for the author to live out their fantasy of being their favorite characters best friend. And the whole 'Drew is at Fry's place literally from sunup-sundown' sounds like a fangirls dream. It also prevents Drew from having any kind of life of her own and makes her a rather 2-demensional character. I don't think i have ever seen her in a scene by herself or not with Fry or Leela.

1. In TFI, she's a traveler. She met a lot of people and went to a lot of places.

But otherwise I see your point. Then Drew is a version of what I'd like to be. So therefore if I was on Futurama, I'd want to hang out with Fry and Bender and everyone else. It's just I'm afraid that if I get too personal with Drew than people would get annoyed with it. I'm not the best writer, it's a fact. But I have fun with it. I'd just like a little-tiny-bit of slack, like 1%. That's all. And then I won't ask again.

i don't know what you mean by 'give you slack'. You mean 'A for effort'?

just to point out: if you were on Futurama and were friends with the crew, you really wouldn't want to spend 24/7 with them. I have friends. Most people do. And i don't want to be with them from the moment i wake up to the moment i go to bed. And nobody wants to spend 24/7 with anybody. It's called 'alone time'. Not only would you get sick of them, they'd get sick of you.

Just a positive thing about something I've done. But I won't make anyone actally say something.

And I realize that I don't spend 24/7 with my friends but then I don't have many. And I'd rather be isolated and alone on a regular day.

Something positive hmm? Okay, despite what i think of the execution, some of the story concepts weren't bad.

If you would prefer to not be with friends 24/7, why would Drew? Even Fry and Bender spend time alone.

My god... I wish I could write something like your fics!! (but i can't, so I'll stick to telling you how wonderful your stories are).
Well I can't wait for Venus to post her fic (or should I say a novel) - I just love your writing style.
As for Kif's story, well I've read your "Past with No Future on TLZ and I can't wait to get more... When Chapter 4 will be posted?? (soon I hope)...What more can I say... Write on!!! (God, how hard it is to describe your thoughts in a foregin language)

@Kif: You can agree more ... remember - "Nothing is imposible *maniacal laughter*

Awwwww swidzi, you're sweet!

@Spacedal: "I suck" isn't a very good reason. You need to work on your character motivation. Everything everyone does they do for a reason. Having Drew do things just because you wish you could do them isn't good writing unless you can validly link it to Drew's psychology.

My fourth fanfiction, "Of Mice and Mensans," is now available to read at TLZ.  So...uh... read it... please?

Kif White, if you're by chance reading this, I noticed that the font you use on TLZ doesn't recognize the ellipse (...), and therefore replaces it with a question mark (?), resulting in many characters being a bit more inquisitive than previously intended; (this is mainly noticeable in my fictions because I abuse the ellipse like is some sort of trendy drug).  Is there any way of fixing this?

Anyway, I’m looking forward to that next part, Kif.  Glad to see it's almost out.

Fixed.

Though I used a very low-tech solution of adding a few spaces. Speaking of which, I didn't know those 3 dots actually had a name. You learn something new each day, I guess.

Did you get my reply from yesterday, JBERGES?  Just curious since I used my private email-account.

Edit: and, yes, go read JBERGES fic, now. As I said in the update it's highly recomednable. Shippiness is down 88%, hillarity and jokes are up 103,2%.

Yes, Teral, I got both of your replies.  Thanks for the fixing (though you may want to look into a better solution for the other writers  :p) and the recomendation.  I'll be sending the slightly edited version of the ButterFry Effect I told you about earlier after I add some spaces in the middle of the ellipses.

Wow, that was kinda offtopic.

Venus and Spacedal11, you two said you don't like crossovers, but please give mine a shot at reading.

I especially enjoyed Leela's line, "Stay away from the young girl!"

Cracked me up. I haven't read Mitch's crossover in a long time so I guess I should to compare. Not that bad though, it was similar to the show, Kim Possible I mean.

Venus: Can't disagree. But then I was comparing myself to some of the better writers. I'll assume you think that I'm a winey kid who always tries to make it her way, I'm not usually. I write for fun. But I've been overwhelmed by this and have really been afraid to write. I don't really think it would matter if I stopped writing fics or not. So even though I make huge errors, that I will fix one day, and my chracter is 2 deminsional, I'll try and improve. I still don't want to submit any new fics though. But I will.

Speaking of which. New Fic I'm working on. All in one part. The Fry Supremacy. Starts different and is in major detail.

No offense Spacedal11, but if you don't want to write any new fics then why do it? The only reason you should write is for yourself, not for any other reason.

And, yes, do try to avoid the horrid Mary-Sue character. There are few things worse than this, IMHO.

If I did say something like that then let me restate it by saying, I'm in a withdrawl. But as much criticism as I get, I still like to write. I'll try and be better not to go into the Mary Sue character though. Thank you Kif, if that's what you meant.

@ Spacedal11: Interesting, I wasn't expecting that line to be funny.  Well if you thought that was funny wait until you read part 2.  I sent part 2 to TLZ a few days ago.  It should be up soon.  Have you read Mitch's crossover, yet?  Mitch actually did another Futurama/Kim Possible crossover.  It's actually good, it prompts me to finish mine quicker.

Well I was picturing Leela saying that in her serious tone. How you worded it was funny and picturing Leela say that was funny. If I knew what Mitch's old one was I'd re-read it. Also any thoughts (to anyone) for the short intro to my next fan fic above?

BTW, got a new story I'm working on. It's not gorefest. I'm taking a little break from writing the gory stuff. Anyway, it's called Stung. Now lets see how long it takes anyone to figure out why it's called that.

The plot: An alternitive ending to The Sting. Fry really is dead, Leela really is insane, and she's in an asylum. It's a cross between the Butterfly Effect, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and White Noise/Sixth Sense. I'll be sending part one eventually. It's a drama to say. Not suppose to be funny and not suppose to be bloody. Surprise surprise.

You should read Robot Hell Rises (Seriously, It Does) first, it's actually good.

They're both available at TLZ.

But he doesn't say "Fry, Phillip Fry." That'd be cool, maybe the first time when he seducces a woman. But yeah it gets old fast. It got old on the show kinda.

In my first (and last) fanfic I had a character who I couldn't tell if he was a "Mary-Sue" as you say or myself.  He was meant to be a pseudo-antagonist but ended up being the hero.  The point is, I think Mary-Sues and author-insertions are the same things at varying levels of idealization.

A few weeks ago I happened across the old script and its previously unfinished sequel, and I've been reworking both of them.  I like the sequel better because the character in question is much more of a utility to the main characters than he was in the first one.  Also, I like the story a bit more, especially since "Leela's Homeworld" fundamentally changed a few major plot points of the first one.

At any rate, expect "Curse of the One-Eyed Jacks" (redux) and "The Social Orders" (working title) sometime soon.
