You know you haven't been posting much when someone asks you if you're dead.
JBERGES IM'ed me yesturday and asked where the hell I was. I responded with a feverish "I'm alive! Don't let the medics take my fillings!"
I've been around, mostly lurking, not posting a lot (I did put up some pictures of me in Offtopic that no one noticed).
But, I digress. I came to say that yes, I am around. No, I haven't left for good. And, that I will be at PEELathon, embarassing everyone with my geeky band jacket.

I'm actually almost done with some new art. Really neat new art. And it will be posted eventually, along with some stuff I owe people.
And hey, if you catch me online, say hi. I respond, distracted or not.

I'm back to state that the above picture is in GOACHE. That's paint, all paint (an opaque watercolor, to be exact). That and it took about a combined six hours.

Fry with glasses, eh? Looks somewhat intellectual. The background's cool, but there's a lot of headroom in that picture. Looks like it could have taken more space.

Your "sketching" style is pretty cool, I always enjoy seeing pencil work. The "Goache" Fry is up on my list of top fan-art that I have seen thus far, the lively colors as well as his face are too cute. (I see glasses also... ?)

Does it really look like glasses that much? Maybe I misled a line when I re-inked over the paint. I'll fix it soon.

Gouache is a freakin bugger. I commend you on using it for something.  It makes me homicidal when I try to use it.  I like the bg of the Fry pic... I'm kinda into that texurey brightness thing (studying Baseman)

  Your new pictures are brilliant, Shaucker! I really like that the Fry-one is painted.

But I agree with FemJesse; gouache can be a real pain in the ass (especially when you have to draw the stupid circle of colors with this paint for art-class tomorrow and you don't have your book because you forgot the keys to your locker at school... Sorry, I just had to let it out).
The holophoner looks great; all those details! Amazing! Must've taken many of those six hours you spent on painting.

I like the paintings, especially the holophoner one, its great how you haven't given up and resorted to photoshop!
Keep it up, and I really mean that, its nice to see fanart that uses actual paint.

And the pencil sketches show so much skill, how do you build up the shading on them? I've been trying to get a supercool-sketchy-shading-style in my pencils for some time, but it always looks wrong.
