*bump*

Well, my final fic is posted on The Leela Zone, which means I get to come back here and wrap things up. I'll still await the many lost souls to find their way back and give a parting comment, but other than that here's what's left to do:

Links to all of the fics:

Perfumed By an Unseen Censor

Bearer of Bad News

The ButterFry Effect

Of Mice and Mensans

Anthology of Interest 2.71828

A-Typical Delivery: Part 1

A-Typical Delivery: Part 2

Plans for the near future: At one point in the next year I want to go back and fix all the little errors in my old fics (formatting, spelling, and maybe some minor non-Lucas-esque script changes)  Maybe I’ll even start a new thread and toss ‘em all in there for old time’s sake.

Plans for the far future:  Look for my dementedly corny sense of humor to work it’s way into upcoming Sims games.  :D  One day, I’ll write that sci-fi comedy book I’ve always wanted to too, but that might not be for another decade.

Other than that, once again I thank everyone who took the time to comment; even if you didn’t say much, it meant something.  This thread was something I could come back to during one of the harder times in my life, and now that days are better I appreciate the outlet it gave me and the friends it provided even moreso.

So, here’s to this site and the improbable return of Futurama...

I'm sorry I didn't comment on your last update before I disappeared.  You really wrapped things up in your typical fashion: with as much humor, intelligence, and vision as Mitchell Hurwitz, Steven Hawking, and Peter Jackson in a blender.  Mediocrity has never lived up to its usage in the thread title.

Thank you for sharing your work with us.  It was no chore to read and comment on these fanfics.  If you ever get around to writing that book, save a first edition for me.

Also, I'm stealing Charlie for a fanfic I'm NOT in the process of writing.

it'll be a shame not finding anything new in your thread anymore.  I can completely relate (as I expect most of us fic writers can) to your reasons for getting into writing fics in the first place, and although we'll all miss your work, it's good to hear that things have turned around for you and you dont need PEEL as much anymore.  Good luck with your novel.  May you get farther on it than I've gotten on mine! :P

Good night and God bless, John. Your work has always been a true diamond in the rough. Your retirment from the Futurama fanfic world can only mean good things for whatever profession you manage to turn your myriad of talents to.

Hope to still see you around the rest of the site, of course. You and Jess are truley worth while people.  :D

Hi JBERGES,

Yes this is one of the worst-named threads I've come across.  Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus and thank you for your stories and all the support you've given to other fanfic writers here.  I'm really glad things are going well for you, and hope that you will have as much fun and success in other aspects of your life as you've clearly had on PEEL.

Oh, and solyentOrange, you won't be able to run forever, too many people are watching ....
