This is be my permenant thread for when I have fanart to show you so you can post your comments.  This will also be the place where you can post comments and I'll discuss on certain fanarts.

The pictures were drawn by my friend Silvertide and colored by me.  Let me know if you like them and I'll tell Silvertide.  And please let me know if the pictures stay true to the whole spy theme, I'm trying to do.

First Silvertide and me brought you Amy as Jinx. http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/4-000735-1/

then we brought you Zoidberg is an Oddball. http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/4-000750-1/

Now we are pleased to bring you

Bender as Ironfinger

and Fry and Leela are Agents 014 and 1BDI

As before Silvertide drew them and I colored them.  Silvertide has informed me he is doing another fanart for me to color.  So stay tuned to this thread for further notice.

If you notice the sign "Evil Starts Here" on Ironfinger's desk.  It was a joke that Silvertide came up, parodying the phrase, "the Buck Stops Here".

Silvertide told me to inform all the fans out there who like his work.  The reason is that he's very private and is not able to post stuff here, which is also one of the reasons why he has me send his work to Futurama websites.  That and the fact his scanner is not working.  He is very pleased that he can show his drawing skills to many people.  He likes to personally thank the people at both TLZ and FSAC for uploading his drawings.  He also plans to draw more SpyOrama pictures.  And let me tell you, I've told him the spy counterparts of other Futurama characters and he is pumped and ready.  However, that will have to wait because of his school work, he says.

No need to thank us at TLZ for putting up his and your joint work. In fact, we should be thanking you two for making them and sending them to us. So, thanks goes to both of you. Hope for some more, too.  :)

Gort: No need to worry about that.  You'll be getting more in the near future.

ooy: the reason for the triple post is because I said ever so often, I'll post comments about the fanarts I helped colored.  Sort of like a commentary really.  And Silvertide also wants a say on this.  The third post was actually what he told me to say.

For the Jinx picture, it is actually Silvertide's second draft.  He had done an early draft, but felt it wasn't good enough.  Still I was able to color that one just before he gave me draft two, which you can see on the link at the top of this thread.  As for the Jinx picture draft one, expect to see it probably in the near future, until Silvertide has done a few more good drafts of characters and he feels alright in letting people see the first draft of Jinx.

Good News, now the new drawings of Bender, Fry and Leela are available at FSAC.  In answer to bish's response.  The reason for the three thread was that the amy, zoidberg threads were made first.  Then I remember someone telling me I should just have one thread and announce my fanarts on that single thread instead of creating a new one all the time.  The other two threads have been closed.  Thank you moderators for doing so.  This thread will announce future fanarts.

Here's a little note about the Fry and Leela picture.  I had wanted Fry and Leela pose to parody that of Maxwell Smart and Agent 99 from "Get Smart".  However, I couldn't find a good posing picture for Silvertide to look at and parody after.  So I told Silvertide to just wing it and he managed to produce the picture you see.  I told him specifically to make Leela's spy suit sexy much like Jinx's but with a less revealing appearance since this is Leela.  I think the suit holds up to the vision I had.

These are really nice, fryfan! My favorite is the one with Fry and Leela as 014 and 1BDI.

Also, I'd like to say, a few months ago, I came across your Spy-O-Rama GoldFinger fic and I really enjoyed it.  :D

Which story was it?  I've written many SpyOramas with Goldfinger references.  And thanks, I'll make sure Silvertide hears this.  I always knew that Bender as a parody of Goldfinger would be good and funny.  If I was going to have Bender parody any Bond villain it would be Goldfinger.

I can second that. Goldfinger is the one that sticks in my head when I think of Bond villains. Also, I loved the Bender pic and how Silvertide drew them in two poses.

I believe it was "Fry Another Day". In fact, I'm almost certain it was.

That was the very first fanfic I came up with and the very first SpyOrama.  That was almost a year ago and now, I'm up to SpyOrama 7. Originally "Fry Another Day" was going to titled, "I, Fry Am Spy", but when I listened to Madonna's song, Die Another Day and since my fanfic was parodying that particular bond movie, I decided to give it the title "Fry Another Day."  I did use "I, Fry Am Spy" for SpyOrama 5 so it didn't go to waste.  Also, Bender villain was going to be Dr. Bend or Bendfinger.  However, they sounded corny.  I thought of Ironfinger and came up with perfect reason for his name.  A robot with fingers made of a certain metal, but one made of Iron.  It would be a parody of all those villains who had a hook, claw and etc for a hand.  Ironfinger, sounded like a villain name with a 1960ish ring to it.

I didn't have to watch Halle Berry in the movie, to give Amy the name Jinx.  Amy was already a Jinx before, Die Another Day, so it was either Jinx or Klutz, but Klutz didn't sound like a good spy name.  So, you could call it a parody and coincidence that Amy is called Jinx.  However, her red suit is a parody of Halle Berry's spy suit.

For some reason Jinx became a stand out character.  People like Kryten have said their favorite character is Jinx.  Jinx in a way became the Bobba Fett of this world, due to the fact she was mysterious and that made her popular for some reason.  I'm not comparing her to Bobba Fett, in terms of importance. I just couldn't believe that people caught on with Jinx, so that prompted me to do a fanfic focusing on her past.  Look, for more tales of her past in later fanfics.

Silvertide and I have managed to another fanart of Futurama characters in their spy counterparts.  Hermes, Labarbara and the Professor.
 http://www.scanartcentral.com/TheGalleria/categories.php?cat_id=36

This time FSAC was able to upload the picture first.  I thank them for it.  Expect to see the fanart at TLZ as well real soon.

Hermes is modeled after Agent M from James Bond. Not the female version played by Judi Dench, but the old male version played by the late Bernard Lee. Labarbara is modeled after Moneypenny. Silvertide didn't like the idea of Labarbara being like money penny because that would mean Fry would have to hit of her since he is the James Bond of SpyOrama. I said to Silvertide that Fry won't hit of Labarbara, expect Hermes to do so. Professor is still in his pajamas and he is modeled after Agent Q. The flaming bear was Silvertide's idea after seeing the episode, Love and Rocket.  Don't forget to post your reviews here.

Hey Zapp fans.  I've submitted another drawing by Silvertide and I provided the coloring.  I thank FSAC for doing this. The drawings are Michelle, Zapp and Kif in their SpyOrama form.

Zapp is important to SpyOrama, because he and Michelle and Kif are not parodying any James Bond characters.  I felt it was necessary because it would make SpyOrama much more interesting to fans.  Zapp is parodied after Merovingian, or the French man, from The Matrix Reloaded.  When I first saw Merovingian, I liked the character, he was funny and so full of himself.  He reminded me of Zapp and it made sense to combine the two.  Michelle is based from Merovingian's wife, Persephone.  I chose Michelle, because it would allow me to use her more and the characters seemed very similar

Kif is based on the Thin Man, Crispin Glover's (George McFly) character from Charlie's Angels.  It made sense since Kif was much of the silent type and his attraction to Amy, reminded me a bit of Thin Man's attraction to Drew Barrymore.  Kif's cane can be any weapon: sword, bo, nin chucks, laser, anything that involves a weapons being thin and long.

Hope you enjoy the picture.

THANK YOU TLZ and FSAC for allowing both Silvertide and myself to share my vision with other fans. Silvertide has now giving me two new fanarts.  I just need to color them, if you want to know what the fanarts show, then I suggest read my fanfics and try and guess on who Silvertide has not yet drawn.

I want to ask a question, would you guys want to see Silvertide's first SpyOrama drawing?  It is that of Jinx, before the double Jinx picture.  The picture is good, but pretty simply in the sense it isn't as exciting as the Jinx picture you can see at both TLZ and FSAC.

I just want to inform everyone that I've just spoken to Silvertide and he says he's working on a new SpyOrama fanart, one based off of my recent fanfic.  Silvertide says he do two or three more fanarts and then "retire" from doing Futurama fanart.

I on the other hand am busy coloring two fanarts Silvertide gave me months ago.  I've been busy with having a life an all.  Anyway, I've finished with one fanart and should be available to you fans real soon.

Well TLZ has finally submitted my newest fanart.  Hope you enjoy.

"These are the Red Lords. An evil Mars Spy Group Bent on taking over Mars and seeking revenge on Jinx, who used to be a member, but abandoned them as they see it. You might want to reread 'Jinx Full Throttle' to understand the characters.

"Melaena Jones, comes from two references. Melaena was the name of the woman who helped Arnold's character on Mars in the movie, Total Recall. Jones is after Chuck Jones, who was known for making cartoons featuring Marvin the Martin. [snipped this sentence due to possible spoiler]

"Biff Broker - Is named after Biff Tannen from Back to the Future, who was the ideal bully.

"Elmar is Elzar's twin brother. Elzar chose cooking as a hobby and Elmar chose martial arts, he'll bang you up a notch.

"Lingo- Is of course a parody of Jango Fett.

"John - He's the ordinary guy, there is always an ordinary guy."

"The inspiration for the Red Lords came from the Green Lanterns mixed with Star Trek."

"Melaena Jones' real spy name is Charm. Charm of course is the opposite of Jinx. Charm is Jinx's old rival and thus that is what she's commonly known as."

Silvertide has drawn another SpyOrama fan art

The picture features members of the evil organization, SCAM. The Society Conspiring Against Mankind, is SpyOrama's version of SPECTRE, the evil spy organization that James Bond had to deal with. SCAM is mostly Zarahordians from Zarahord 9, (read From SCAM with Hate). Zarahordians parody the Geonosians from "Attack of the Clones". Zarahordians are lazy, dependent aliens who prefer dictatorship over democracy. They are also into the latest in fashion and fads and hate anything pas-say. They are also sticklers and believe in good health and eating. Beware their evil SCAM PYRAMID STARSHIPS. SCAM does have good insurance polices, though. As Ironfinger says, "You never go wrong with a good insurance, SCAM makes."

'One might notice this picture has a familiar face, Barbados Slim from episode "Bend Her" gets a bigger part. Barbados has something different about his mouth. Barbados's platinum teeth are a reference from Jaws, (not the shark) the tall henchman with the steel razor teeth, played by Richard Kiel. Jaws was in both "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker". Barbados is also dressed as both Count Dooku and Destro from GI Joe. In fact, Silvertide used both GI Joe and Star Wars as references for Scam Commander and his men. Scam Commander is a mixture of three people; Poggle The Lesser, the Archduke of the planet Geonosis. Scam Commander is also modeled after Cobra Commander from GI Joe. And Scam Commander's personality has a little Cat from "Red Dwarf".

Thanks, Jicannon.

Hope you and the rest enjoy this next fan art.

Here is another fan art drawn by Silvertide and colored by me.  This is a fan art of Jinx, but the very first draft, and the very first SpyOrama picture Silvertide drew.  This fan art was the first attempt to see if SpyOrama could work visually.  It was just something I wanted to do, but couldn't since I can't draw good.  Silvertide, who liked my SpyOrama fanfics, decided to step in and draw a picture of Amy as Jinx.  He used a photo of Halle Berry dressed in her Jinx suit as a reference for this picture.  The hard part was re-coloring the picture to improve on a few mistakes I made.  Jinx's skin color on this picture was different from the skin color on the Jinx picture at the top of this thread.  I was able to match the skin color as best as I could.

This picture was never meant to be sent to any site.  The reason was at Silvertide's request.  He felt this picture wasn't as good as he wanted.  He's a good artist, but he's used to drawing realistic things.  Trying to match Matt Groening's style was difficult for him.  He was able to get the hang of it and do the Jinx picture that you see above this thread.  That was Jinx Draft 2.  However, as time went by he decided that since he's improved with the fan art, he didn't mind that people see his first attempt at a Futurama fan art.  I always felt this picture holds up to Silvertide's ability and talent.

So how does it look?

SpyOrama is back with new fan art.  Once again Silvertide has drawn it and I colored it. This drawing features the characters from the fanfic, "You Should Have Snoo-Snoo Only Once".

Phnog- Of course, has on his martial arts gi.  Originally, I wanted to base Phnog from Tetsuro Tamba (played by Tiger Tanaka).  Tamba was James Bond's ally from "You Only Live Twice", of course the twist is that Phnog is a villain.  I liked Phnog, and wish he had a bigger part on Futurama.

RJ- Another character, I wish had a bigger part on Futurama.  RJ, was a stereotype of how smoking makes you look cool, so I tripled his personality, by providing the stereotype of how smoking, drinking and firearms makes you look cool.  RJ is based from Marvel Comics, The Punisher.  I saw the movie earlier this year and read the Spider-man comic that first featured the Punisher.  So, I decided to based RJ from that character.  I wanted RJ to have a poncho, to be like a Punisher meets Clint Eastwood, only Silvertide decided to only give Joe a poncho. I wanted to also note about RJ. He used to be a member of the Martian ATF. The branch of the Mars Government that promotes the use of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Joe- Joe's SpyOrama counterpart is loosely based from Baba Looie.  The donkey cartoon Mexican sidekick of Hanna Barbera classic cartoon, "Quick Draw McGraw".  I'm only saying this because once Silvertide first showed me the drawing, that cartoon character first popped in my head.  Of course, I pictured Joe in a poncho way before thinking about the loose similarity.

So how does it look?

As I've been saying here on PEEL, Silvertide is retiring from doing Futurama fanart and this is our last collaboration.  He drew this cover and I colored it.  This is our last collaboration, but he's doing four more pictures by himself.  He said he wanted to go out with a blaze of glory and he wanted to draw and color the last four pictures himself.  The last four pictures will feature previous SpyOrama characters, the four main characters.

But on to this picture.  This is SpyOrama, the comic cover.  Introducing my previous fan fic, Ironfinger Reloaded.  The inspiration of this picture was from Futurama Comics Issue 14, and the Matrix DVD covers.  Silvertide was able to combine the two into the image that I wanted.

Where one era ends, another may begin:
 http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/4-000930-1/

This picture will set the bar for other fan artists.  Like I've said here at PEEL, I'm looking for the next Silvertide.  Someone who can draw like him and keep SpyOrama fan art alive and maybe perhaps improve on future SpyOrama fan art.  I'll color the pictures, all the artist has to do is draw.

What do you think of this picture?

Fryfan has a new partner, Zmithy.  A fellow Futurama fan who answered the call from PEEL.  I ask all of you to please give Zmithy the same respect as you would Silvertide.

Zmithy was able to draw a character from my fanfic, "You Should Have Snoo-Snoo Only Once".  This is Julius, Phnog's son and Octuran Martial Artist.  As you could see, Julius has a red gi and that shows how big of a jerk he is, since most people who wear red gis are considered jerks.

Julius's name came from actor Julius Carry who played Sho'nuff, in the cult 80's movie, Berry Gordy's the Last Dragon.  One of the inspirations for given Phnog a son like Julius was based on the father/son villain team from Bruce Lee's first film, Fist Of Fury.  So, I decided why can't Phnog have an evil son just as well?

Hope you enjoy this picture and hopefully expect more SpyOrama fanart drawn by Zmithy.

How does it look?

Here is another picture drawn by Zmithy and colored by me.  This is Numa, Phnog's mother from "You Should Have Snoo-Snoo Only".  She was based on all wise old martial arts characters.  Yoda, Morpheus, Mr. Miyagi were inspirations, only thing was that they were all male.  I felt having Numa be a female would be more interesting.  The Oracle from The Matrix was a good example of that.  Originally, I was going to have Numa be Phnog's older sister, but I felt the sibling thing wasn't good enough.  Zmithy came up with the writing on Numa's gi.  It is of an old ancient Chinese language, so I don't know what it means.

Let me know what you think of the picture.

I still don't know what the writing means, I copied it from a decorative wall scroll thingy that a chinese immigrant drew for the living room wall.
She's with her boyfriend selling pirate DVD's in Glasgow at the moment, so I'll probably never find out what it means either. It isn't a direct copy, I just picked the symbols I liked the look of, so it probably makes no sense.

The colouring is alright, although some more slight variations in colour would have been nice to seperate the various layers of cloth from each other, I won't get picky though, the overall colour scheme works for the character, and the bits inside the chinese writing must have taken a while to fill in.

So, I'll be a delivery boy? All right! I'm a delivery boy!

"Make Acquaintance with my diminutive associate!"

This was the quote that I had Bender say in my fanfic, "I, Fry, Am Spy".  This of course, parodies Al Pacino's line from Scarface, "Say Hello To My Little Friend".

This is one of the final four fan arts that Silvertide is doing.  The picture features Bender in his spy form, Ironfinger.  Silvertide drew and colored this picture by himself.  It was his way of going out in a blaze of glory since he's retiring from doing SpyOrama fan art.

One down and three to go.

Please, let me know what you think.
