hey there, im a big fan of industrial music, and the industrial subculture especially the fashion side of it, i was wondering if there's been any drawings made of the characters in futurama in that fashion, to get a better idea to what im talkin about...
 www.sykospark.net/rivethead/

i ask cos i saw an awesome drawing of amy inspired by tank girl, where can i get a picture of that, i'd love to see it again  :)

or if ppl still have no idea what im on about, please ask  :)

Yes! Someone should do a goth picture. If i had any drawing ability once-so-ever everything i did would be goth.

nononono, not goth...

rivethead or cybergoth, the fashion is similar.. however seeing a goth version would be pretty cool too, has to be the whole planet express crew :P

however i'd love to find where i can get that drawing of tank girl amy though

I can't take that site seriously.... It seems like it's mocking the scene. So does the InstaGoth kit BTW. Especially the generalization of "Goths like", "Industrials do/do not" etc..
I say: Be what you want, don't cling onto a definition. Be inspired and "don't immitate, innovate" (oh my, I quoted a fragrance commercial... can't remember which one, though)

But yes, it WOULD be grand to see the characters in a hardcore metal/punk/goth/industrial/etc. kind of style...

Weehazaa Margarita! I take it you don't take the "categorized-personality-boxed-sets" too seriously either... But I'm not really sure about you (have mercy- spare me for I am new here. Blah!)
I wish I still knew how to draw, but I haven't seriously done so for almost seven years. I might pick it up again, now that I was fired. I mean- I've never actually DRAWN in the technical way that is taught at courses or schools. Just autodidactic dabblings that people around me found either pretty, amusing, rediculous, inspiring or something... I will see where my new found wealth of spare time will take me.

No, seriously- I'm way too broke. [WHINE]I want a scanner too... boohoo[/WHINE]

i agree with you pikka, if it feels good, do it, as long as it doesn't involve hurting another individual in any way..

it seems i fit into the rivethead category only because of my fantaticism of industrial music (from 70's up to present days) and i have a thing for army clothes (plus they're very comfy) ar well  :D

and if there are any pictures out there mister d0nk3yk0ng, DO SHOW ME  :)

as for your drawing margarita --> *jaw drops* its good, and keep it up, i can't wait to see the final result

Hmm Psudo gothic. I think I could mangage that. If you people don't mind that I don't do the Groening style.

On another note scanners are for fools. Get a tablet (ie a mouse pen) which is reat for drawing straight on to your PC. (Makes colouring alot easier to.

Yes, Wu, but I think somebody loves the craft of art and likes to color by hand (paint, crayons, whatever).. Photoshop IS good for smooth colouring and such, but sometimes a pencil sketch is good. Or charcoal or something like that (FemJesse's work is an example)

Ah true but with programs like painter and open canvas you can get that paint look.
However I do agree that doin things off of the computer can work better than doing it on the PC.
I usually always sketch my ideas on paer first to get the genral idea and composition. Then move onto the PC to create the final version.

For a true Goth look, one of the girls should be wearing a corset. And you may want to make Leela's hair a bit thicker. If she's wearing goth hair extensions, which to me it looks like she kinda does, they usually make your hair super thick.

That pic really looks great though. I can't wait to see it finished!

i kinda like Leela's outfit. It's something i myself might potentially wear. Except for the color combination of the hair. I generally keep my hair black and blonde or black and green.

I think I remember seeing it on one of the fan sites. I started to look but realised that I was late for my lectures so I had to run.
The people most likely to know the where abouts of the pic are Paul (of FSAC), Kryten and Padnez (of ANSTATMAW) they should know.

The Leela goth get up is the best of all of these, Fry's hair doesn't look right, the hair on my old Frozzy avatar would've suited better.

Dear Ganeesha it's back!
This should work.... it's a pretty large file so it might take a while to load.
And before you get your hopes up, only one, maby two can possibly considerd goth(i think)
And that's Leela and maby Zoidberg, Zoidy is modeld after a guy i know and we don't really use the term "Goth" over here...
But i've herd/read different arguments about the deffenition of "goth" so im not really shure what to make of it all.
Fry is a metal head(Death Metal head to be exact    :D ) modeld after little ol' meeee
and it's the Exhumed logo on his shirt if anyone knows them or eaven care.
Amy is....something...
anyhoo, here's the re-copyd link:

I know I've seen it at www.scanartcentral.net  (FSAC), try looking under Paul's section.  But I could have sworn that was just a framegrab from AOI II..?  awww well... I only have the 2004 calendar (which I received recently  ;))

Oh and Thoth those pictures are great!
