Act 1

Fade in

I Fry's apartment
Fry's apartment door slides open

Professor: Good news everyone, we are a going on a trip to a spider lab.

Amy: Woohoo. (sarcastically)

Bender walks in

Zoidberg: Guess what Bender.

Bender: The professor died.

Sees Farnsworth next to him.

Bender: Oh, so whats happening.

Leela: We are going to a Spider Lab.

Amy and Bender: Woohoo. (sarcastically)

End act 1

An act is where you are in one place if you go to another place (spider lab) a new act is started.

No. There are three acts in each Futurama episode, and they are in more than 3 places aren't they?

And that story makes no sense?

In TV or theatre, "where you are in one place if you go to another place" is described as a "scene".

They're right. Basically, if you've got the DVD's - every seperate chapter on there is an act. A scene and an act are two different things. I highly recommend NOT posting your fanfic in scenes. It'd take forever, and just comes across as an excuse to jack up your post count.

Also, why the hell would Planet Express take a field trip? They're a delivery company, not a school.

It's not a field trip they were studying spiders because of a very important mission described in the next fanfic but this one only has 5 acts.

I say acts this is the way I do my fan fics it will nake sense after the whole story is done
