i came up for a idea for a contest. I'll give you a tv show or a movie each week. You have to create parody art for that show. I'll give you a show this week. It's Friends. Next week is a movie.

Odds that more than 2 artists will post in this thread 10,000 to 1. But it's a good idea and could prove challenging for any artist brave enough to pit their art against others.

Okay if Friends seems to be hard how about the Jetsons? You know a fry and Leela being George and Jane? Star Wars would be cool.

Sounds like a great idea that, but i'm no artist. I say post the challenge in a clear post, with bold and underlined text if needed.

The German message boardDer Hip Joint have something similar. The admins select a few movie posters, and the fanartists have a select period of time to make their version of it. Made some pretty snazzy fanart.

So I think it's a good idea, I say go for it. Then again, I'm not a fanartist so me opinion have very little bearing on this matter.

I know Leela would make a great Monica.
Amy would fit as Rachel.
Fry as Joey (a little dumb, but a nice guy) or Chandler dating Monica/Leela).
Which will make Bender the opposite of Fry.
Kif as Ross?

Fry would theoretically be chandler, cuz he's the funniest

Yeah, but Chandler is smart, a trait Fry doesn't share ( the shippers will kill me for saying that).

Freida Waterfall?!  How come they never got along to her!?  She'd be the the funniest Waterfall of them all... with hairy armpits and a skirt held together with saftey pins... *runs off to create Freida Waterfall...*  Wait.. was she in the comics?  If not, I want to make her... she'd be so funny...  just like any other girl who goes to my college.  :twitches:  Must... make... funny hippy...

Hey Frylee, just out of curiosity - you said you'd give out a new movie/t.v. show every week. Since the first one was given out on the 13th, does that mean you're giving out the movie on the 20th (this saturday) or are you going to give a little more time considering it's the first one?

It's a clool idea  I can draw, but it's not really my thing. My best art comes from my heart and soul, when I express my ideas. But when they're given to me on a plate, it turns out rather crap. That's just me though, no offence, it's a clool idea for people that like to work that way
