Tom, please tell me that all that blood did NOT come out of your head...  or I'm going to be EXTREMELY sad...
What could I do within my power to make you feel better?
Want me to draw funny pictures?  Send Tastycakes in the mail?  Band-aids?  Me?
I hope you feel better in the morning...  Please, please feel better.

Sorry, I bottle it up and sometimes it shoots out like that. I like the picture though because it's real and full of the emotion I was feeling. The blood in the background is my blood... I did it a while ago when I had a nose bleed, I let it drip on some A2 paper, I was gonna use it for a background but I never thought I'd get the use of it, until now. It started going all funny pale colours around the edges and stuff so I had to re-colour it a nice red.

Thanks for the email Jesse *huggles* I'm feeling better now.

Great  :)
The blood drawing would make an excellent CD cover IMO.

*Squee!*  My day is now livable!  Now I just have 2 classes and to paint things.  I haven't actually had a nosebleed in quite a while, what an interesting medium...
And to think my dad just throws his all away.
Also:  it PALED?  I thought dried blood turned maroon-ish...
-very expressive drawing in general, I guess that's why I was scared by it.  Real art, like the stuff you make, easily gets to me.

Hope your head gets better and your Mac doesn't freak out again.  Eat more eggs or protein supplements, young man.  *waves her finger like she's your mother*

i don't get why people are worried because of that picture.

i for one think that it's fucking great. if you ask me, it's by far the most intense piece of art ever posted on this board, maybe the only piece of real art at all.
plus i somehow know that feeling, maybe because i'm feeling like this a lot. the fact that i was listening to dillinger escape plan while looking at that picture probably made it even more intense.

one thing though: as far as i understood, it's drawn on a computer. so can you exchange the background with the real blood one rather easilly? because if so, can you post a pic with the unedited blood as the background? this blood somehow doesn't look real. it should somehow be more darker and stained.

if you have the time and if it's easy enough to do this, i'ld certainly be a very interesting thing to see.

Awesome job, TV. I'm not creeped out at all, the blood spots add a nice touch. Truly awesome!  :)

Perhaps it's my love of morbidity, but I really can't say enough good things about that picture. Its my personal favorite of your stuff, (with the giant evil Bender right behind it). Continue with the bloody and macabre pieces, TV, they're much more interesting than happy-and-cheerful.

Yeah, I agree with you about the dark, dirtiness that It lacks. It was made in half an hour don't forget..

I had a go at what you asked Here

It may interest you to see this..

This is the original idea I had.. but I thought it would probably not be best for PEEL....it's too late now though.

And Evan, yes, there are more of the same styled pic's coming some time soon..ish

"It's not for PEEL, but here it is anyway."

I like the first picture better. The second (or original) is too dark to me. Its a bit difficult to take in all the detail, as well as what's going on.

I like the darker red stains over the brighter ones...  I think it looks more realistic and less abosorbed into the paper.

whoa, that looks damn cool as well.
although i like the one with the light background and the "real" blood somehow better, probably because of the blood and the fact that one can see the sketchy-ness better. and i'm a sucker for sketchy drawings.

femjesse's vibrator-idea disturbs me a bit.
what disturbed me more though was me trying to imagine what and if how gay people use this "vibrator". ouch.

commenting on nurdbot's post: when i'm depressed/angry, i either listen to aggressive music or (if it's not too late) play drums untill i have blisters on my hands (or untill they're bleeding).
i managed to destroy my crash cymbal and my hi-hat while playing in a rage (both of them have a huge crack now). and i'm using normal wooden sticks (vic firth, to be precise. they never live long either...).

dark background gives a cool effect but i prefer the light version 'cause you can see more details.    :)

ouch, spiff. i like to express my emotions by art too but when i'm angry i either break stuff like CDs (especially AOL CDs..), listen to music like hardcore or (if very pissed) bang my hands/head against the wall.

I keep always keep a stock of AOL CDs for art purposes... I find that when I crack them, they splinter and shatter... maybe I'm just doing it too fast....
...Post more Voices art!!

I quick one I did earlier... Normally I wouldn't bother showing it because it's not finished, but I liked where this one was going

you weren't expecting that huh? I'm such a sucker for love...

The finished version will be painted, with a background. And I'll get rid of all those little things that need adjusting in the sketch. Looks okay for 30mins of sketching though. Check out the contrast between the two images on this page...

That is a truly magnificent work of art Voices. I'm sure that the painted version will be even better. I find it a bit strange that you drew her as an angel. I would have thought she would have wanted to have horns and not wings.

Marg and Nick... go fuck yourselves.   :laff:  Just kidd'n... you're alright...
But Tom... I love that... that's like... sad/lonely Jesse!  I love it so much... it took me a few seconds to save it after all the initial cooing and "aww"ing...  You're going to damn me to hell with your godlike crosshatching... wait, I thought I was already damned to Hell!
It also reminds me of what I look like a few minutes after coming out of the shower... just before I fuck myself up again somehow... (usually by getting something on me or eating something larger than my cranium.)

Today I spilled coffee on my tank. I drink it black, so it looked like someone pissed on me.  It'll come out though... I have a stick! *raises her magic stain stick*  I guess I'll do more laundry tomorrow... That gives me an idea for a superhero... hmmn...

This is gonna take a fair amount of weeks to complete.. longer than I was anticipating. I got the hair and one of the wings almost done this weekend. I redid the hair 5 times and the wing 3 times... I'm still not happy with that damn wing.

I think this'll give you a better idea of what king of image I'm going for..

The original size is 5000X7000

Also, I took all the images in my last thread off my server, so there isn't much point looking through it..
