Hiya, I'm into fan fiction and I just wondered what are some of your favorite fan fictions? I mean the kind like at TLZ, or CGEF, or FSAC, etc.

I want to know because I want to read a very good fan fiction for inspiration and just plain enjoyment! So what do you say?  :)

Well, it all depends on what you like. I like stories about Fry n' Leela. So I can recomend No More Secrets. I liked it.

TLZ (The Leela Zone, http://www.leelazone.com.ar)  has a big Fan Fiction section.  IIRC, it lists stories in author-alphabetical order.  With that in mind, Rover, who's the author?

Not that I'll get time to read it.  I can barely keep up with PEEL.

You can't go wrong with Kryten and AstroZombie.

Both have made some excellent fanfics. Kryten is pretty much the king in Futurama humor, while Astro's fics are great emotional stories.

I really like Missy's Delicious Surprise, Futurama_Hil's A Birthday Surprise, and Femjesse's Against all Odds.  Pretty much all of Bumblebee Theta's stuff, along with Erdrik's.  Farnsworth38 has a great story, and of course the author who inspired me, Andy Robertson's Crash Course in Love and Precious Memories.

Ah, yes, I forgot Missy. Her fanfic is developing nicely, and I like it. BBT's "A Helping Hand" was great too.

I haven't really read much else fanfics. Most of them I read, I do as part of putting them up on TLZ.

Andy Robertson is identical with AstroZombie, btw.

I haven't read many fanfics since I've been trying to keep my own ones pure - as in, not full of glaring plagerisms, or at least ones I know of.

The only real author who's work I've read a couple of is Kryten and I agree, I really think he's a great author, though there are many out there who are all great!  :)
Soon I'll be up there too!...Okay, maybe not...

That's actually "The Day the Future Stood in Doubt," but hooray, I'm someone's favorite!

Some faves of mine: Any stories by Kryten or Brad Rousse. (Only a few can talk to Brad, I'm apparently not one.)

Second Chances by Anarchist. Brillant story!

BBT writes some good ones and Astrozombie's "Crash Course in Love" is a favorite of mine.

I also like "Fry's Departure" by Slick. Though I suggest not reading it until he finishes, if ever. The waiting is agony.

Off the top of my head, a lot have already been said.

Slick's Fry's departure
Andy's fics
Kyrtens fics
Brad Rousse's fics
Silverwolf (come on now, i can't believe i'm the first to mention Leela's return and fry's return)
Willy Pete - Relics
Lilith - Genesis according to futurama
WuKongUK - then there was two

I've probably missed someone that I liked but I have to give an honorary mention to this one guy called game god who wrote a fic called fantasyrama (final fantasy crossover) and it was really funny. Everyone was in character (even squall!) and they managed to be funny!

"Squall came up to Fry and handed him his jacket, 'Here...'
Fry wiped a tear from his eye, 'You’re giving this to me?'
'No, you got your body odor on it, I don’t want it anymore.'"

I only gave it a special mention cos its not on fanfiction.net or anyother sites i've come across. I can't remember where i found it. Also I really like final fantasy!

edit: Dave - 'the dark side of the doop' that was the one I forgot

also Paxlon, it was really fun in a 'this isn't futurama at all' kind of way

A Helping Hand, No more Secrets, All the Juicy Details, and Minds Apart, as well as Farnsworth 38's The Longest Journey Home (which he said was partly inspired by my own stuff???)

Two of which I've done fanart to.  There's some incentive to write good fanfiction =P  My favorites get turned into art.

Yes, I was inspired to start my fic by FemJesse’s ‘real life’ art: it’s how I visualise the characters while writing. Thanks Jesse.

I think most of the greats have been mentioned already. Anyone list Nasteve’s ‘Flowers in the Window’? It’s one that hit me in a soft spot.

To be honest, I've been concentrating so much on writing fan fiction that I've read very little. However, I did really enjoy Anarchist's "A Second Chance", and I've been reviewing an upcoming fanfic that's been going through a draft version called "Son of the Ashes" that's very VERY good. I recommend keeping an eye out for it when it does get properly released.

also a little tip for ppl hu cant stay on a computer to finish a fanfic. if u have a fone, mines a nokia 3510i, that can connect to internet and get on yahoo messaging, get a yahoo account. copy the story and paste the story as a email but save it as a draft. u can then access the saved email with the copied fan fic on it there from ur phone. i have read about 30 fanfics this way travelling.   :)

Heh. Don't let the fact that people don't mention you that much or at all get you down. As much as I love reviews and fans, if that was my only reason for writing, I don't think I would be anymore.

It's kind of a shame. These days the Internet is supposed to be a great place for feedback, but I didn't have to get a second e-mail address to hold it all. ;) Ah well. Not complaining. After all Mark Twain said that he could live on one compliment for six months. I get enough to keep me alive ;)

Oh and I'd like to add to my previous list:
Universe of Malice
Background Noise
Delicious Surprise
The Other

Congrats on great stories guys. Some people choose to be bitter when others show them up. I don't really go for that. What's the use? At least I know (in no small amount) that I'm better than someone else. I always knew there was someone better than me.

Hmmm ... my favourite fan-fictions?
Hmmm, well ... I didn't read that much fan fics yet. Anyway, I realy do enjy fan fictions by Kryten and Matthew L., as well as Kenneth White's Universe of Malice.
The co-production by "The Frylight Staff" is also really good.
Not to forget Paul, who is also creative in writing fan fictions.

I'll see if I can do some class for writing better English. I have enough good ideas for fan fictions and I'm well good in writing too ... but the English grammar and spelling is still some kind of difficult for me.

The Fryborg
NO MORE SCRETS - da best
A Second Chance
A Long Night
Universe Of Malice
A Helping Hand
Last Shot
Snapshots

And that one where Leela says she's gonna die but only Fry knows... damn, I've forgotten what it's called. And Fry ends up getting Leela pregnent...

Time Runs Short.

A Stupid Proposal is brilliant too.

Don't get me wrong, the reason why I do fanfic is to continue the adventures of Futurama, what with it being cancelled.
I have so many ideas for episodes, that I'm just scooping them out, in which I enjoy.  I just want to know if I'm any good in the eyes of fellow Futurama fans.

Wow, kinda hard to choose, especially since I read most of these many months ago and don't quite remember the names very well. In no particular order:
The How of Fry
Univerce of Malice
The Frylight Zone
No More Secrets (the first fic I read, which convinced me that fanfiction can, in fact, be good)
Minds Apart
The Fryborg

And probably a bunch of others that I'm neglecting to mention.

Yeah, it's coming along slowly, but surely (and Venus does have a cameo too). In fact, it's so damn huge and far from complete, that there is the possibility of being split into two final chapters. That won't be decided until it's done, so don't be surprised if the 24th one isn't the end, and that the final will be released a week or two later. We'll see though.

I like mostly anything written by Kryten.  I like Allen's Frylight Zones. I basically like it when somebody writes about a Fry/Amy relationship, but manages to make it seem like it would happen in the series and not make it something that woudn't happen on the show
