Hello. Wonder if anybody out there can help. I'm looking for some artwork of the 'Def-Con: Kills owls dead' billboard in the title sequence. I really want it to put on a t-shirt. I've had a look round a lot of the fan art sites but can't find it. Can anybody point me in the right direction or fancies an artistic challenge.
Much obliged either way.

Nick

Hmm..I hate the fact that no one responded to such an innocent thread asking for help.  but it must mean that no one has the image, I know I don't.  Not a bad idea though.  I wish I, or anyone else, could help you, but alas, no can do.

Hmm... From watching the intro a couple of times, I still can't make out exactly what the logo is. I know it's below the "crash billboard" but I can't see it all that clearly. I don't have the capability to play my DVDs on this here laptop, but if someone posts a couple of grabs, I could give it a shot.

Is there a way (short of writing a program!) to
take a frame from, say, a .mpg file and save it as a .jpg?  Probably not, or others would have stepped in by now.

You need a program like Grabber2k (get it at Download.com) for that.

Anyway, this is some grabs I took from the DVD's:
Step one:

Step two:

Step three:

And a supercloseup of the logo (or at least the best I can get):

DefCon Owl Traps
Kills Owls Dead

Just needs to be turned into scanart.

Thanks, Teral.  That will work for .mpg files (because WinDVD can do single-frame-advance) but not for .avi (not playable on WinDVD).  DivX Player and Windows Media Player don't do single-frame-advance.  Know another .avi player that does?  And I'm pulling us off-topic, sorry; however, the thread's probably finished anyway.

BTW, if you're interested in the owls, I've just theorized their origin in a full script over at TLZ. WARNING: It's a comedy!

You are all beautiful people. Did anyone ever tell you that?

Thanks
