Well, here is my Bender (first Futurama image I've made):

    Well, you like it?

I am planning on doing the Planet Express building with the ship (cell shaded and realistic) for my first big 3d project.

If you think I should go for it, and have any blue prints or pictures of the inside of the building, it would be of great help.

He looks like something that I would put in my ear.

femjesse> you would put something with that many parts sticking out of it into ur ear?!
maybe if you stuck it in your eye you'd learn how to draw!
no i'm just kidding, you're alright =)
no seriously, i think u're a great artist.
the ship design is on anstatmaw.com
your best bet for the building might be (sorry, the title has slipped my mind) at the beginning, fry and bender steal the ship and its tethered to the building and it flies around and spins and stuff, u would get to see the whole building anyway

Nice, but you could do with using a cell shader plug in. I don't know what 3D engine you're using, but there are plenty of free plug ins available for the big packages (Max, Maya etc). Failing that, I'd reduce the reflectivity slightly. If you do use a cell shader plug in, remember that you don't need to ray trace, saving on render time.

I also believe (and this is nit picking here) that Bender's antenna tapers slightly  :)

Well, glad you like it.  Ill try and cell shade it to stick closer to the feel of the show (though I like realistic much, much more, just me) and taper his absurdly thick antenna a bit.

First off, looks great...

I agree with the other comments (antenna etc.) but I'd also add that his hands look like they need to be scaled down a bit, note how in your avatar, the "arm end" of his hands are about the same diameter as his arms.

I agree with that too, but his hands look awkwardly small on him when I do that on a realistic rendering. (purposly made them bigger to sorta beef him up, possibly went too far...)

It looks fine with the smaller hands when it is cell shaded though.

Good job, Jakemmx
I especially like the reflection of the street and buildings on his chrome body.  Nice attention to detail.

Holy Moly that's awesome! I absolutely love it, a supreme job. And the little details like reflections enhance it even more
