*smiles at Atticus and puts a "hat" on her head enthusiastically*

Here's a snippet I wrote:

Fry walks in the cockpit whistling, like he owns the place.  He's getting his job title updated, and acknowledgement for doing something good for once.  Leela is shuffling files around.

Leela:  So you finally figured out that being a delivery boy doesn't entail shooting at hostile vessels?

Fry:  I knew the whole time, but I did it anyway.  I just snapped because its so thankless.

Leela:  You know there are other ways of thanking people... (Fry shuffles his feet)  Like going on with your life.

Fry:  Speaking of my life... can you do me the teeniest tiniest favor?

Leela (rubs her hands together nervously):  That depends...

Fry:  Have Amy fix the air conditioning in the turret.  Its hot as robot hell up there.

Leela:  You looked really hot on the vid feed.

Fry (smirking):  Yea... I have been working out.

Fry flexes his arms upwards.  Leela rolls her eye and slams her right foot squarely on top of his left foot.

Fry:  OW!  That wasn't very cool.  Oh wait! I just remembered something.

He pulls a small piece of grey plastic out of his pocket.  He holds it squarely in front of his face and crosses his eyes, focusing on it.

Fry:  What does this do?

Leela throws her arms up in the air and sighs.
Leela:  How would I know?  You just found that thing?

Fry:  Yea, I just found it.

Leela:  Put it back wherever you found it.

Fry:  Aren't you at all curious to know what it does?

Leela:  Not in the least.

Fry:  It could be really important.  Like... maybe its the key to all existence... and I disturbed it?

Leela:  Fry, the Universe is not going to be destroyed because you picked a piece of plastic off the ground.

Fry:  Oh yeah?  How do you know.  It could be really, really, really important and here you are, doubting its importance... right in front of it, even!

Leela:  It doesn't think, or have feelings.

Fry:  Oh, now you just hurt its feelings.  (he strokes it jokingly)  She didn't mean that.  (baby talks to it) You'll show everyone some day...

Leela gets frustrated and snatches the plastic stick out of his hands.

Leela:  Let me see that.  (She holds it right in front of her eye and examines it for a moment. She closes her eye and nods quickly.)  I know what it is.  (She tosses the object back to Fry.)

Fry (catches it):  What is it?

Leela:  Its the switch mechanism to an air conditioner.  You mustn't have been paying attention and broke it by accident.

Fry: Nuh-uh!  I'm real smooth when I'm up there.  It was sabotage!

Leela:  That's the stupidest thing you've ever said.  Why would someone sabotage your climate control?

Amy walks in and hangs out in the background, eavesdropping.

Fry (thinks for a second then answers):  Someone wanted me to take my shirt off? (Amy snickers...  Leela notices her and stares at her for a second.  Fry smiles at Amy and takes his shirt off.)

Leela (puts her right hand against her temple):  Oh lord...

Fry (laughing):  Want it like this, Amy?

Amy:  Actually I just wanted you to roll your sleeves up.  That's totally hot.  (Fry flexes downwards.)  Woo!

Leela (looking at her wrist-thingy like a watch):  Well, I'm sorry to run out on your chippendale action, but the autopilot will be wanting a break soon.

Amy:  Come on Leela, look at Fry!  He HAS been working out.

Fry:  Yeah, Leela, look at Fry.  He's prettier now! (Amy kicks him in the shins) Ouff...  (He waves his hands at Leela)  No... no... that's okay.  You don't have to look, things can only get better anyway.

He slips his shirt back on and starts walking in the direction of the ship elevators.  Amy and Leela look at each other and shrug.

Thanks.  I have an cute idea in coordinance with the new Pokémon card rules.

Fry   HP: 60
Type: Normal
Note:  You may only have one Fry card in your deck.
Poke Power-
Strength in Numbers: The retreat cost for your active Pokemon is reduced by one (colorless) for each Planet Express card in play.
attack:
Not-so-quick attack:  Flip a coin, if heads this attack does 10 more damage.  Base damage 20, Cost: Two colorless.

No I'm doesn't:  Return Fry and all cards attached to him into your deck.  Shuffle your deck afterwards.  Base damage 60.  Cost 4 colorless.
Retreat cost:  Three colorless
Weak: Fighting
Resistant: Psychic
Pokedex Entry:  Although not too, bright, Fry's boyish charm makes him a favorite among female trainers.

Leela  HP: 70
Type: Fighting
Note:  You may only have one Leela card in your deck.
Poké Power-
Strength in Numbers: Your active Pokemon's attack damage is increased by 10 for each Planet Express card in play.
Attack:
Witty comeback:  If Leela was damaged during the last turn, prevent all affects of attacks, (including damage) done during to Leela your opponents next turn.  (two colorless) Base Damage: 10.
Jump Kick:  Base damage 50. Flip a coin, if tails, Leela does 10 damage to herself. Cost:  2 fighting energy 1 colorless
Retreat Cost:  2 colorless
Weak:  Psychic
Resistant:  Dark
Pokedex Entry:  Leela is smart and fast, but often hasty in battle.  She also has poor depth perception.

Bender  HP: 50
Type: Steel
Note:  You may only have one Bender card in your deck.
Poké Power-
Strength in Numbers: Damage done to your active pokemon by you or your opponent is reduced by 10 for each Planet Express card in play.

Steal:  Move up to two damage counters from one of your Pokemon onto one of your opponents Pokemon.  Cost: One metal, two colorless.

Drinking contest:  Flip a coin.  If heads, the opponent is now confused.  Base damage: 40.  (three colorless)
Retreat Cost: 2 colorless
Weak:  Fire
Resistant:  Fighting
Pokedex entry: Bender has been known to belch fire after consuming large amounts of alcohol.  He is also very selfish.

Edit: The best strategy would be to lead off with Fry and get Leela and Bender onto your bench.  That way the not-so-quick attack would do 50-60 damage and Fry could prevent  thirty damage on every attack.  If worse came to worse he could use the No I'm Doesn't as a finisher and go back into the deck.  Then pull out whoever's charged up (Most likely Leela because Metal Energies are biters)  Bender would be invaluable if he got his Steal working.  Healing and dealing 20 damage from and to whoever he wanted.  The only negative is that Leela's synergy wouldn't apply to that attack.  But it WOULD apply to Drinking Contest.  The only way you could really get dicked over would be if one or more of the set were in the prizes.  They all count as Basic pokemon.

Hey FemJesse, I just noticed this thread and I am really liking what I'm seeing. But I get a lot of errors and non-working pages by following the links you've provided in the past. Is there a link where most of your work is displayed? Thanks.

I was just going to say: Never mind, found it.    :)

Not a huge fan of the sex stuff, but the 'realistic' ones are incredible. Not so much the art itself (although it's quite good), but your vision and the way the subject is handled. This may sound corny but it's almost like you add dimension by bringing these characters one step closer to becoming 'real people'. The only time I've seen anything like it graphic-wise was on an episode of the Simpsons when Homer imagines the kids as normal-looking humans and freaks out. This is even better, keep it up.

Edit: I wanna see more characters. How about a better shot of Farnsworth or Zoidberg? Zapp Brannigan? So many possibilities...

I believe the creepy effect is what FemJesse was aiming for.  Zoidberg isn't exactly the prettiest thing in the Futurama universe, as explained in a conversation between Leela and Bender, from "Put Your Head On My Shoulder"(just to cite one of many examples):

Bender: "Congratulations, Fry. You snagged a perfect girlfriend. Amy is rich, she's probably got other characteristics..."
Leela: "Bender! Romance isn't about money!"
Bender: "Oh, so it's just coincidence that Zoidberg here is desperately poor and miserably lonely? Pulease..."
Leela: "For your information. It's because he's hideous."
Zoidberg: "Aww...."

Good work, Femjesse.  You even put in the canal for his head fin!  Nice detail   :)

I think I enjoyed Mango's response more than I've enjoyed any response before.  Zoidberg is supposed to be hideous isn't he?  I thought I drew him too attractive in the dinner pic, so I sunk his eyes into his sockets and changed his eye color... uglied him up some.  I like to draw Zoidy with his blowhole and his retractible head flap.

I was thinking of captioning it "Rock Lobster"
The colors are hurting me.

Hehe.  You know.  I've just totally opened up my eyes and been enlightened.
I'm no longer a Fry/Leela shipper.  Fry is a loser.
Now I'm a Zappshipper!  I think Zapp and Leela will make the best couple ever and I'm going to do many pictures to illustrate this fact.  Think about it, they're both captains... They're both very lonely inside, and he loved her and recognized her even when she was dressed like a man.

Zapp and Leela are destined to be together!!!

I am facinated yet at the same time freaked and correct me if I am wrong but in one show did Zoidy not say "AAUGH, I'm hideous!" or am I remembering that wrong?
Let me ask you something FemJesse have you ever attempted to do a "real life" drawing of Fry and Leela getting married? just asking because if you have I havent seen it.
G'night.
