Very cool pics. I really like the self-portrait one. I really have difficulty drawing non-show characters in a Groening style - the fact that you've done it with real people too and turned them into Groening style characters is especially good.
Nice sunset - even some of the clouds to the left just by Fry and Leela look like they could be hugging each other.  :)
Though the two things at the top look like shooting eye-balls to be really honest  :p

Much thanks Femjesse I don't know about the Amy thing she has always seemed to me to enjoy rubbing it in to leela about how much more girly she is than her "OH so this is where you shop for your boots" she seems to take pleasure in it for some reason. I always thought someday she would push Leela to far and it would be a brawl but I guess we'll never know *sigh*
Once again the bed calls my weary head Good night Femjesse where ever you are. Or should I say good morning? Man it's after 5

Femjesse, that picture of Fry and Leela with the sun set is, just, wonderful.  I think its great that you can take what could be just simple lines and make them into something as beautiful as you do.  I think everything that you've drawn is great, and everytime something new appears, then it's what I have to look at first.  I hope that you continue to draw, or write, or whatever makes you happy.  I think that I and many other members here will always be on the lookout for your new stuff.

Wow, that's so amazing, awesome work. Any more like that, and it might even turn me into a shipper.

Love the sunset [Fry]it's like all the colors of the rainbow, plus some new ones that are so beautiful I fell to me knees and cried.[/Fry]

But the rest is equally good.

I'll check out the Diablo II thing, when I have a few hours for playing, but probably not before the weekend. I like the new synergies they added to skilltrees, too bad they couldn't improve the AI of the valk. I guess wet sawdust only have so many IQ points.  :D

Hrm... Wet Sawdust?  I think you're giving Zon Valkries a little too much credit.
*pulls out a can of insta-valk 'Just add water'*
Then again... maybe not... *tosses it behind her and it bonks a big barb on the head*
Here's a kitty for Paul.  I had the idea to do Amy as a Siamese since she's of asian descent... apparently...

That's a big ball of yarn you have there, Missy...
I did a quick real life drawing.

Let there be music... the sketchbook text for this picture is
"Thank you for the music.  So this is a twentieth century compact disc player?  Its really great.  It sounds much better than mp3s.  There can't be a better song than this... who wrote it?"
"Me."
"You?"
"I wrote it for you!"
"You're so full of shit."
"I swear it!"
"I don't believe you..."
"You never do..."

Add two more O' wow pictures to the collection of art done by the amazing FJ. I like the second one a bit more than the first, but bolth are awesome.

I also just noticed you and the Voices seem to use similar styles of shading. At least thats based on looking at the two pics you just posted vs the Voices most recent O' wow pic. The main difference being you used colors.

The only difference is that he uses ink and crosshatching. I usually go for gradient crosshatching with pencil, because I like the lightness I can get just using a pencil.  For example, when you work with pencil you can't erase the "guide lines" so you just wind up making them a part of the finished picture.
(Look close, they're there)

Farnsworth38: I have been known to move things with my mind... nah.  Seriously though, I have predicted things and good things at that.  Nintendo 'stole' a bunch of Pokémon my friends and I invented... including Kecleon Chameleon, Combusken Chicken, Torchic Chicken, Medicham Psychic, and Absol Disaster-type.
Also, once I got a really bad vibe in art class so I excused myself and went into the bathroom... where my friend was about to jam a shard of the broken bathroom mirror into her wrist.
My mom says claims of ESP are common in Irish people, and I'm about 33% Irish.  So who knows.  Lately I've been having frightening dreams that are more symbolic than anything else...

Ok I see what you are talking about now thx for pointing it out.

N with regard to your dreams, if you think these dreams have something to do with ESP try sleeping with a wet towel wrapped around your head. Based on some of the things I have heard about ESP this might help block out some of the bad dreams/visions.

More great work from FJ.  The Siamese/Amy one is cute, sexy, and SCARY - all at the same time.  The second one is great too.  No, I can't see the guide lines; I don't even know which end of the pencil to hold...

I guess I should post the picture of Fry and Leela as cats, too.  After all, I drew that one first.  Paul is going to color it for me; 'cause I'm a lazy bum. =D

There's something inherently evil about that picture...

That must be it... all of the claws are completely retracted.  Ready for some death killing... or fuzzy killing.  Or bloody yiffing.

Leela: Stay away from my milk, jerk!
Fry:  I just wanted to dip my paw in it and flick it on you to piss you off. *does so*

People actually LIKE my real life drawings... I'm... so... thrilled...

I've gotten emails along the lines of "You're butchering the characters"  "You've destroyed my imagination" and I clutch my head and go
"No no no!"

But then I get some "Keep it up, you rock, can I host your stuff, emails." and I do a double thumbs up and grin and go
"Yes yes yes!"

Then there are some people who say "I like them in black and white but when you color them it ruins the sketchy and original quality of the work."

In response to that last thinger, I've been leaving the black and white copies of my work, and making color copies in addition.   (though IMO some have no competition compared to the black and white counterparts... *thinking of Dinner at Elzar's*)

Here's an idea that ponged around the chat room...

Full of original drafty character quality...

She's so purdy... its too bad she never got to be a real teen for very long.
Freckles!!  Sobakasu!!

in no particular order, but i'm last
and is it just me, or do we tend to see just the back of cartoon FemJesse?  :)

All very impressive work. Sorry to be opinionated but those people who write and complain are goits!

You see first I really like the sketch and the real-life appearance, then the colouring really compliments it well, in my mind.

Nice kitties pic, looking forward to the coloured version.  ;)
