My First Leela Picture...suggestions?

this is a sketch i did of leela in an attempt at saving fry (not seen in picture) i took the picture with my digital camera...thats why the quality is crap...

something seems kinda off about the lower lip, but i can't figure out what it is. it's something slight i think.

I know what it is, Venus. Groening-style characters don't have a distinct lower lip, they just have the lower lip sort of combined with the neck.
Nice piece of art, by the way. Very original.

that's it! that's what was bothering me.

edit: isn't the neck a little long too? i love the way the hair is done though, and the face is very expressive, i like that.

To tell the truth, I'm not crazy about it, the top half of the head is really good, the hair is impeccably styled but the mouth and neck are just, blah, the mouth is off putting, it looks like a hand puppet's and the upper lip looks kind of like a pencil-moustache.

The body has good arms and shoulders, although maybe a little small, but, not to put to fine a point of it, the breasts are off, brutally honesty her chest looks like that of a malformed man.

You've got definate potential don't get me wrong but I don't see it fully expressed in this pic, the style's good, but the picture isn't.

O_o Lol, I was thinking "muppets" when looking at this picture as well. The lower body does seem a bit off, but I love the way you did her hair and eye - got that whole anime feel to it.  I like.
