With this great show, getting nearer and nearer to it's end, us fans will be getting bored soon. No more will the genius of the writers, the sounds of the voice actors, or the little nitpickky mistakes of the animtors will grace are screens as new episodes ever again.
I think we will all know nothing (Apart from The Simpsons) can compare to Futurama. However, we could make a dedication to Futurama, by somehow keeping it alive.
Who would like to make a Futurama series? We could use episode ideas submitted in Fan Fiction and people who are amazing at Flash and animation (you know who you are) can animate them. Also, there wouldn't be any annoying Fox Logo or Sky logo's in the corner of the screen. We have a series of impersonators on this board including yours truely, who get try to try to impesonate the characters. Also, i'm sure this can all go well, so what does everybody say? Who wants to become part of the contribution to the dedication of Futurama?

Turning a fanfic into a Flash animation? That's an interesting thought. Needless to say, it would be very difficult and time-consuming (many fanfics are much longer than the standard episodes), and the file sizes would be a bitch for those of us who don't have high-speed internet access. Plus, we'd also need voices and sound effects, which also won't be easy.
It would be interesting to see how something like that would turn out, though. Is there anyone here suicidal enough to try it?

Well, fan ideas would have to be around 23 mins long or they wouldn't get in (unless they are special 'continued' episodes). I forgot about the special effects and music, but it can't be that bad without it to an extent can it/ Also, alot of people would be working on it, so it wouldn't be too time consuming as the animtors would be given a few scenes each, etc.
Who eles wants to help, as i think Anarchist might be interested.

Why not just animate a quick gag before going for an all out full length episode?

Me? I wish. I don't exactly work magic with Flash, and I have no visually artistic or vocal talent whatsoever. I just stick to my writing.

I don't think we have to keep scripts to 23 minutes long - shorter ones would work. I'll bet we could yoink old sound effects from real episodes.

It could work, but it's very unlikely. Still, worth a shot.

How about an online Futurama comic or something too? I mean, I know there's already an official one, but a fan-made one couldn't hurt at all. We have some great artists here and some great writers.

Good idea Kennedy, i think we should make one scene first, and see what the public thinks of it. So who wants to apply at what?

Yeah, I'm sure Sarge always had his work done in ten minutes flat.

Let's be sensible about this: it takes months for professional staff to make a single episode.

We may be able to animate some short gags, but a full length episode is out of the question.

well its a nice idea but as i hava said b-4: a show is still alive as long as its fans still have the spirit.

Prehaps u should focus a short on the lesser characters, rather than the main characters, I think u could have more freedom with some of the minor characters

Maybe we could make something like
"Zapp Brannigan: Space Adventurer"

(and I dont suggest this just because I would be the voice guy either  :D)

Well, I'd be up for recording a few lines sure. I do a pretty good Zapp (looks like Grim has that covered though) and a very passable Zoidberg.

If they did, all the Fan Artists in the world would be no more, and so would a fair few websites as well.

I would be glad to try and write scripts if we made one. I'm not as good as the real writers (not even close) but I'm decent. If you don't believe me read my other two scripts in this fine fanfic forum. I'm not too good at endings though as you can probably see if you read them. If someone, can help me out with the endings I could pull out some pretty decent stories.

I am IN. I am better than any of you at designing Flash. I'm thinking.... at the end a really funny music video for the credits. And we forgot something else. The captions at the beginning of the theme song. And cel-shading too! Anyone here know how to make cel-shaded people?

We already have a topic dealing with a similar idea - this one, so we'll stick with the other one.

You are the weakest topic .. Goodbye!
