Damn iterenet now I have to write it all out again.
Basically because I'm a lazy arse I'm going to keep this as breeif as possible.
Now as some of you may be awear on other boards they have art competions. So I figured why not, the reason for the poll is because I need to see if you lot feel the same, have one here.
Basically a theme is choosen, lets say for example a Star wars parody, and various artists here would make futuram art based on that theme then that art would be put to the vote to see which was the best.
So what do you think, would you like to do it? if htere is enough positve results we can then decied what theme to use.

Sounds fun, but I wouldn't use a Star Wars parody only because some people, such as myself, don't really watch Star Wars.  You should get something that most people would know... like a Hawaiin theme. lol  ...Okay, not really, but something that most people would know of, definitely.

I vote "sounds cool"...  I want to see a theme done based upon "Lord of the Flies"... But the problem is, it doesn't seem many people have been edjamacated on the book, or even the old movies of it.  It would be a great idea in my opinion.  If no one wants to attempt it, I will.

I think we should just all make our own parodies, and it shouldn't really be on idea in general.  That way, anybody could participate and they could pick their own thing!  ^^

Sounds like a lot of fun...but who would judge it?  Would their be fabulous prizes?  What would be more important, originality or technical proficiency?  Want someone please think of the children?!

Maybe wu_konguk should judge it since it was his idea... and maybe a few others!  *Shrug*

I still stick with my opinion that everyone should pick their own themes, even if some themes are the same.  Besides, wouldn't it be judged by best drawn and most creative?

I don't think I would be a great judge because I am quite particular to what styles I like.
Anyway heres my two cents
A theme would be best since it would allow for an easier comparison
second once eveyone had done there work they should tell me or soemone else then the pictures would be posted with a poll allowing the genral PEEL publeic to judge
that's just what I think.

What would really be sweet is if someone built a webpage just for the contest.  Something temporary, just to showcase the entries.  I still think their should be a prize.  Maybe, Season 1 DVD's for first place, Tshirt for second...etc.  But that may require more work than of us is really interested in putting in.

I'm not Bender-1729, but maybe I'll do?

Basically, Mafu, the administrator of the Hipjoint forum and Futurama Sutra, post the new picture (usually a movie poster) and people then have a set amount of time to come up with thier version of it using Futurama characters.

After the time expires it's but to a vote on the forum who wins.

Only original drawings, ie no scans, are allowed, but that's just their rules.

Sometime they vote on what picture should  be used as inpsiration in the next round.

You can see the previous winners and entries here.

Thanks Teral. That's what I'm kinda talikng about apart from I think a theme would be better than the ridgedness of a poster (doesn't allow enough creatiivty in my opnion)
I definetly agree with the free hand rule though. Sure you could use a pen mouse and even coulor it but no scan art. It should be your own work not an adapted frame grab.
