Hello All,
I'm trying (note the operative word "trying," as in, 'not succeeding') to develop a fan-fic. I'll not bore you with the minutae. Suffice it to say that, one of the things I'm most in need of is information regarding Leela's apartment: How big, how many rooms, furniture, layout, decorating, where Nibbler sleeps, ad infinitum.
I have reviewed the ep's aired on CN to date (that's all I have), ricoched every which way but loose across the Internet, but to no avail.
I hope some of my fellow Futurama-addicts can at least point me in the right direction.

Thanks.

She's thinking of putting in a window.

You'll see it in all its glory in tomorrow night's CN episode.

I know I vividly remember a bedroom, and a scantily clad cyclops sitting on the bed, waiting impatient for some action.

A person could go crazy living in an appartment like that. But that was a great episode anyway.     :)

Yeah, let's face it, as she points out in that same episode her happiest memories are of 'double soup tuesday at the orphanarium', now that's just sad.

Awwrr, poor Leela.  I'd definitely go insane living in a pure white apartment with nothing but a TV and a chair--and a bedroom.  :x

WOW!
Talk about your ascetic minimalism!
Leela's apartment makes a packing crate look like the Taj Mahal!
Has she no kitchen? How about a toilet?
A 'glacial glare white' room? If I had to live there I'd go stark raving crackers. The only things missing are the padded walls and a straight jacket, but it's nothing tha 50mg of thorazine wouldn't fix.

you never see the right wall of her living room, that's probably where her kitchen is, and in the bedroom you see a closed door, that was probably her bathroom. most one bedroom apts have the bathroom connected to the bedroom. mine does.

hoo! Thats an understatment... say that gives me and idea for a fic!  :D
The PE crew got to fly around Fry's body, so maybe Leela finaly breaks down emotionaly, and the crew (Fry included), is forced to enter her mind to figure out whats wrong.
They enter her mind to find a giant maze of traps and barriars to repress her emotions, and they have to fight throught to help Leela recover. Also becuase they're nosy bastards. lol  :laff:

*sigh* I have way too many ideas to actualy be able to write them all...   :hmpf:

im intrigued. although i didn't understand the
"The P.E crew got to fly around Fry's body" part, i mean is he dead? thats about the only way he would be a body and if thats what happened he wouldn't be able to go into her mind with the rest of the crew. explain!

oooohhh it all seems so obvious now!
Erdrik you should make it something kinda small that sets her off. If A major crisis happens then the crew would already know what was wrong. So make it small so it catches the crew by surprise.

No disagreement here, Venus.
My point: We didn't see those rooms. Therefore they don't exist (at least not yet).
Though, what you suggest sounds reasonable.

The odd thing is Leela's living room is so dull, everything except the TV and Chair has minimal color with white walls and white gray carpet. All we see are two doors  in the living room. Leela's room and the exit. Her room has two doors, Living Room and Bathroom (asumption). Mean while her bedroom has color, like the rest of the apartment complex.  Maybe she just likes having nothing in the living room.

Does Nibler live with her or does Nibler live at Planet Express, since she feeds Nibler there?

im pretty sure he lives with her, ive seen her walk in and out of P.E with him. Plus she's the only one who likes him so i doubt she leaves him with the professer during weekends and days off.

Actualy I think Fry likes Nibbler too. Tho I haven't seen much interaction between the two in the show, I have seen some in the comic and they seemed to enjoy each others company.

Yeah, I was thinking something involving her personal/social life... Although on the opposite side it would be interesting to have a world wide poll, and Leela is voted 'least liked woman' or somesuch non-sense.
I've decided she'll have a multiple personality disorder. Just 3 personalities, the 'surface personality' everyone knows, and then two others that are buried and repressed, and protected by the 'surface personality'. The other two will represent her 'childhood' and look like a 6-7 year old Leela, while the other will represent her 'hope of finding true love' and will appear in her teen years.

Make the teen Leela a Goth. It would be hysterical! One overly dramatic way you could have her break down, is to have her go visit her parents, and when she gets there she hears them in the kitchen and starts to walk over, but before she gets there she overhears them saying stuff like  " She's pretty as anything but she's not that bright" and "she's really not worth having around. maybe if we stop feeding her she'll stop coming." Leela panics thinking they are talking about her when in actuality they were talking about a large sewer rat that begs for scraps behind the house and she flees without her parents ever knowing she was there. So she's in shock and slowly zombies her way back to planet express where she curls up in the employee locker room and has her meltdown. This way you can incorporate her fear of abandonment along with her multiple personality thing.  And then later when the crew is inside her mind, what you could do after they get past all the barriers and traps and stuff they could come onto a long plain white hallway that has a couple dozen locked doors, and behind each door is a different painful memory. and how painful the memory is for her the harder it is to get through the door. Like the memory of kids calling her names when she was little would be latched once while the memory of Sean leaving her is triple bolted and chained and then the memory of overhearing her parents is like, bank vaulted. But then it's ok in the end cause they fix her and then she finds out somehow that her parents still love her and want her around. The end, warm fuzzies for everyone!

That would be funny but I had another idea...
The teen Leela is suppose to represent her 'hope of finding true love', and still have some of her leftover 'innocent childhood' mentality and dreams.

I'm not in a position to complain about my 'living quarters' at the moment   :p
But soon I can start thinking about such things... that is if I remember.
Someone mind reminding me when I move? ya'll will probly hear about it when it happens, anyway!   :D
You can even do it in an insultive and demeaning manner! lol   :laff:
