Hi,
I'm looking for pictures stored as vectors (not bitmaps only). PSD (layers) welcome too. I plan use some of this for web design on my futurama-page (http://futurama.zde.cz).

Thanks for help.

Not certain, but artwork saved as .psp in Paint Shop Pro, or anything saved from Adobe Illustrator, are the only things I can think of.

It's possible to convert bitmaps to vector formats (it's basically like tracing), but I'm not completely sure what software you'd need to use.
If you just want to have a transparency effect, or mask the image you can achieve that by using bitmaps in any half decent image editing package
If you want the editing , capabilities, and well as superior output of vector graphics you might have to resort to tracing.

BTW, vector file formats include DXF, WMF (the standard windows clipart format, but beware because windows meta files can contain bitmap information as well), and as Paul says, PSP's.
Flash files can contain vector information as well, so you may be able to get your graphics from them.

I hope I got that all right!  :)

Freehand and Illustrator does vectors. But I guess the most browser-friendly way to show vectors is with Flash. Freehand does vectors like Flash, but Freehand focuses more on creating detailed drawings than offering web interactivity. Freehand drawing can be imported into Flash, though.

Windows Meta File (WMF) is sufficient format, no everybody has Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw (I think that AutoCAD is not soft good for cliparts :-)

Here's a thought...could that be printed as a poster by a print shop...are services like that available to the public?
