Hi,
I'm looking for english subtitles or manuscipt for Futurama - TV series. I don't want subtitles ripped from DVD. I need text of dialogs - overheared and written (time stamps/frame nubmers is not necessary) for use to translate to my language.
S4E06, S4E10, S4E11 and S5E05 are wanted in preference (S5E05 is most desirable  :)).
I believe, that english subtitles helps in countries, where Futurama is not aired (yes, my peoples are Futurama-less  :hmpf: )

Thanks, K5 http://futurama.zde.cz

You can find transcripts of the episodes over at The Neutral Planet. Not all episodes are up yet, but the webmaster regularly update the site with new scripts.

Welcome to PEEL, K5. Enjoy it here.

Welcome to peel.
So you translate episodes. Sounds like a noble profession.  :)

Oh, I don't translate episodes, my english is too poor for this. I endeavour to hear english speak and write to subtitle file (I wrote my own program to synchronize speak with text). Then I provide file to some fans who they have literal talent. I start work at S5E5, here is my first attempt: ftp://aftp.vol.cz/outgoing/futurama.s05e05.kif.gets.knocked.up.a.notch-ftv.sub

But it still beats dubbing. I have heard some of the foreign dubs on the season 2 DVD extras. Horrible.

That's so true. After hearing them, I didn't know what to do first, laugh or cry.

Welcome K5. Like Teral said I've got a bunch of transcripts at TNP but if you're looking for subtitles I was sent one the other week that a guy did for a Jurassic Bark mpeg. It has timestamps on it.
You can read it here.

That sentance sorta contradicts itself! You say you have bad English skills, and then use words like endeavour and synchronise.

Sounds like dictionary-lookups. "Endeavour" is just a finer word for "intend". Look closer at some of my posts, particular the older ones, and you would see I do it too.

:) Yes, I try to recognize sounds and then I'm finding appropriate word. It is not easy for me, for example: I hear "pič" and this is "pitch", or I hear "píč" and this is "peach" (ček=czech), words like "the", "that", "I'd" sounds unrecognizable for me  :hmpf:

Would this be under something else or has this got something to do with Fan Art or Fiction. Maybe it does?

Stop posting stupid questions to old threads.

It's a fan project to make subtitles to Czech Futurama episodes, so obviously it belongs here.
