Sorry if I'm being ignorant and you've already answered this; or it's in another part of the thread; or it's common knowledge...

...anyway, I was just going to ask if these are scans, or hand-drawns, or what? And how do you do the shading? Is that photoshop, Paintshop Pro, or...? How do you get that light effect?
