Hello, Futurama fans!

My name is Nathan Lathroum. I have officially begun working on a fan-created Futurama short, entitled “The Curse of a Thousand Proportions”. As I writer, just recently began writing the script, and yesterday I was able to recruit a talented voice actor to voice the main characters of the short: Zoidberg, Bender, Professor Farnsworth, Scruffy, and the Robot Devil.

Being a fan project, I decided not to reuse clips or dub over old portions of episodes. Instead, I want to try to have the entire short fan-animated, including the intro. I think it would do well to show all the dedication going into the project!

This brings me to the point of this post here. I am looking for animators who’d be interested in lending their time for this project. While voice acting and script writing is great, it does nothing for the visual aspect of the short, which is what ties everything together. If you happen to be interested in the project, you can check out the WIP script and plot summary below, or shoot me an email at NateLathroum@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time! Happy bending!

Somebody did a whole intro in 3d with a Futurama theme (kind of like a spin-off) a long time ago; a had a copy for a really long time, but lost that hdd a couple years back.

I always figured Flash would be perfect for such a project--I have yet to see how adobes animate replacement works, and there's a freeware (I think closed source; unsure) animation option that works with vector graphics I was interested in checking out.

Group projects are super hard to maintain to completion though; one group on here got pretty far on a point&click adventure game, but I think only secret beta builds were the only produce before the whole thing sublimated into vacuum; it was really well organized too, and we had a lot more artists hanging around then.  Good luck at any rate.
