Zoidberg Fan cosplay

As a tribute to the great DR Zoidberg I went to the last con in Zoidberg cosplay. , .

it was really fan as every few min there was a Whoop whoop coming from the crowd.

That is absolutely awesome, especially for a first attempt.

May I ask how you made the face and claws?

For thew head I made a mold from clay and then added 15 layers of latex. It took for ever to dry. I used some sealing foam sprayed into a box to get the base of the claws and then carved out the shape and used plaster of paris to finish it.

That's excellent, Runaway! That's one of the best Zoidberg costumes I've seen in a while. Whcih Convention did you go to, exactly?

thanks guys, this is really boosting my confidence. I am from South Africa so we don't have many famous big cons. This was at rAge expo. There was a competition there for an alien cosplay and I always loved DR Zoidberg, the competition is all messed up now because its based on facebook likes and people are using paid services to get likes . so I figured I would just have fun with it and share it and see what others though.

Wow, I know it's a bit late to say this, but, in the words of Jezzem, that is really fucking awesome! It looks like it must have taken a load of effort to make, but it definitely seems to have paid off.

Was that on the Heroes of Cosplay show?  There should be more people dressed as Futurama characters on that show.

There actually was an episode where a team of people dressed up as Fry, Leela and Bender made an appearance, and even won an award or two. They weren't one of the main contenders in the episode, but instead simply appeared in the background every few seconds. I'll try and find a picture of it for all of you who need to see it to still not believe it.
