Miss F: - the light source is fire, right? Orange light. But a lot of the specular highlights on Alice's body are white. No biggie, just though I'd mention it.

I think that you shouldn't be able to see the outline of Robot Devil's teeth in his shadow. Not at the angle the shadow is being cast from, anyhow. But I had to go out of my way and search the picture to notice it. Overall it's an interesting and appealing picture, and well-made.

I see. The error arose from my inexperience in drawing such illumination. Usually I have a simple light sources. And I really had a hard time painting light \ shadow on the body of Alice. Was difficult to pick colors. I think I had to take darker color for her skin, then the light wouldn't look white ... But now I know and I use it in the future =)

You're systematically making long known errors when drawing fingers. This problem is present on most of your drawings.

Personally I don't think that Alice's right feet is well-drawn...

1 - Hands and feet are notoriously difficult to draw realistically. Which is why cartoonists don't always try to, even in Futurama. Or do we think that a 4-fingered hand is realistic?

2 - I think that you may sometimes be confusing "mistakes" with "artist's style".

Well, on another forum Miss Futurama's admitted that she is still trying to improve her technique of drawing fingers, so it's the "mistake" after all. However, there was not a single person who would actually help her to fix it.

Personally I pretty happy about Alices both hands in this drawing. Not a perfect, but good enough for me, IMO.

Since the main light source is from below (lava, fire, and brimstone?) I don't think RD's teeth being bright is wrong, perhaps his eyelids should be less dark but it is dramatic. Don't have a problem with the bright highlights on Alice since they indicate she's getting sweaty from the heat. I don't think one has to limit themselves to one light source (stage, movie, and TV production sure don't - main, ambient, fill, key lights to name a few) although it is simpler do work with for shade (darkness on an object) and shadow (darkness cast by the object onto another surface).

The only minor quibbles I have would be I think the bottom of Alice's left breast should not be bright. Either it should be in it's own shade or RD's arm shadow. And that the reflection of her left foot should include the end of her foot and toes.

But I like it anyway, especially with all the snow outside today.

Me too. I'm in the middle of doing a piece right now - that will probably take me ages - that has lots of highlight and shadow, and the source is also two points of firelight.

Note - you won't be seeing that one posted here - I need to come up with some more safe-for-PEEL ideas...

Lighting from multiple sources can be a swine - certainly something I struggle with. So, yeah, that's been said already.

Okay, I think it's a pretty stupid idea, and I see no reason for something like this happened, but I just feel like draw it. I'm pleased with result.
I've never drew Robot Devil before, but I think it turns out good.
