This will impress no one. It's not meant to; it's more an expression of astonishment on my part. I haven't drawn anything in years, but when I did I would draw in pencil, scan to my PC, line art on one program, colour and shade on another. I tried to draw directly on PC, but the results were shocking, I couldn't get the hang of it at all. I recently downloaded a free graphics program. To test out its vector capability, I sketched a quick Leela. Holy. Crap. 20 seconds to sketch, and I kid you not, 5 minutes to tidy it up; and it only took that long because I was learning to use the program. I admit the result is very rough, but in the circumstances it's remarkable. Making corrections to a drawing is now completely effortless. If I'd had this 10 or even 5 years ago...! Damn bro, I was born too early... See you in 2018. images hosting

I've had terrible luck with vector drawing in GIMP, but Freako did at least one entire comic with it, and it came out great. Maybe it's more of an innate art thing rather than a tool thing, I'm guessing...

Those are some awesome dragons, Motor Oil. Kudos to you for having the patience and eye for detail that pixel art requires. A couple of pictures of original characters... ...and my one and only recent 'Rama fanart (hands are the bane of my existence and I'm still practicing them) I'm too cheap for Photoshop, so these were all done in GIMP. I have very little patience or time to sit and draw for hours on end, so my stuff has become increasingly rushed and sloppy with time.

Wow. If that's your Rushed and Sloppy, I can't imagine what your Drawn-out and Meticulous must be. Very nice work!

Lawl I'd seen a few of these. But don't remember the "Long Km" meme! Great job on the Frisco, too. P.S. The other caption oughtta' be "C'mon it's only been 80 miles!"

I can't exactly go back in time and fix that, now can I? Uh, pretty sure you said "I do art" not "I used to do art back when I was cool!"
Aw. Hey. Come 'ere, mate. You're alright.
Nah, but I did very much enjoy those arts of yours. Maybe if you were to do more I might include you in my next "good job everyone" post in another seven pages!
Aw, thanks, you old British exile, you. Aha, another who feels the bane of my existence - drawing hands.
They are a pain. I can't draw much of anything, really, but hands are out of the question. But really, those are absolute perfection.
I'm slowly proving that artistic talent isn't important when you can make fun of others and get away with it. But yeah, keep stroking my ego. I'm almost there, guys. Keep it up and I might pick up a pen and doodle out more inside jokes and subpar art. EDIT: Don't forget to donate to my Patreon! I'm open for commissions, too!

That stack of drawings reminds me of something, from a while back. Oh yeah. The Corrupt Despot 2013 campaign, which led to my election as the supreme overlord of Earth for 2014. talent isn't important when you can make fun of others
That's it's own kind of talent. Nurture it. Cherish it. Allow it to grow. Oh yeah, and that reminds me of this: I can't remember when this was done, but my computer informs me that the file was last modified in May 2014. It's titled "Mocking Nibbly Back", so you must have done something to deserve it, but the details have temporarily escaped me.
